Nightmare returns no customer service
As others have noted, nightmare returns process - and you have to pay to return, which is high risk with the poor standard of clothing they sell. Thats if you can get the returns process to work (only managed to organise a return after hours going round in circles with a chat bot and then waiting several days for a human customer service advisor to respond. There also seemed to be an issue that i couldn't remember if i'd ever returned to them before and which courier I used on that occasion. Why would I remember that?!

I’ve spoke to numerous agents regarding this clearly they’ve all been trained to steal customers money. I will never order from boohoo again. Boohoo you’ve lost a customer of many years !
Boohoo premier scam/ difficult to reach customer service
Already have boohoo premier, ordered a top which said it would take up to 4 days to be delivered. Ordered another and had to pay for next day delivery - which never arrived next day!
Sent 2 messages through WhatsApp but the answered the first message but ignored the 2nd message. Difficult to resolve anything!
Awful customer service
If I could give a 0 I would. I received my item and it came faulty, I went straight to customer service to return the item. It has almost been a week and nothing has been solved, I’ve been sent multiple links and every one of them has not worked and I’ve been told I have to pay for the return even though it came faulty! Customer service is mainly done by AI so no shock the service is awful. Honestly wouldn’t even bother ordering from them.

Tried say they will refund me with a gift card saying thats what I selected when I know I did not. Items returned and received confirmation 9 December 2025 but no refund yet and its 4 Feb 2026. I will never buy again from here.

Like many many others I was victim to the gift card refund scam. However DO NOT BACK DOWN. I have today received a full refund to my original payment method despite them saying this isn’t possible. IT IS!! I’ve been fighting since late December.
Use RESOLVER. It’s a free service. They fought for my money back. I have also reported to trading standards and watchdog to investigate. This company is going down.
Criminals who are going out of business so beware!
I am not going to go on here as there are so many issues that I would be here all day. I suggest anyone with issues should go to r/boohoocomplaints on Reddit and show the world the issues you are having (while reading about mine).
I would advise no one to spend a penny with them, this company is about to go out of business!

Like everyone else in these reviews are saying they 100% scam you out of your money through their refund process. You will hardly ever get to speak to a real human being. It is usually AI and then when a human does respond they say the same exact thing- that i selected gift card refund when i obviously would never do that for almost £100. It’s absurd. They are just constantly gaslighting and lying.
Please please avoid shopping there.

So you’re all protected when they say you selected the gift card.
Also the protection the add on….well you’re covered from ALL of those things under consumer law and consumer contracts. So that’s a complete scam.
After all of this I won’t be using boohoo again sadly.
It’s gone very downhill after reading the 700 odd bad reviews and of course my own experience.

I strongly advise anyone considering ordering from boohoo to think twice. Their customer service and refund process are incredibly rigid and unfair.
After returning items, I was told that my refund must be issued as a gift card — despite me clearly stating that I did not want this. Below is the response I received from their customer service team:
“Hi
Thanks for getting back.
I understand that you do not want your refund issued to a gift card.
I have checked your account and can see that the Gift Voucher refund option was selected when the return was created at 6:29am on 25th November 2025.
Please note that when creating a return, you are given the option to choose a refund to the original payment method or to a Gift Certificate.
These options are clearly displayed online, and any selection made at this stage is final once you proceed.
Unfortunately, once a refund option has been selected, we are unable to change or cancel it.
I’ll go ahead and consider this matter closed for now, and I really appreciate your understanding.

What’s frustrating is that there is no flexibility, no escalation, and no willingness to help — even when a customer explains they don’t want store credit. Declaring the matter “closed” without resolving it is dismissive and poor customer service.
Mistakes happen, but a company that refuses to help and locks your money into a gift card you don’t want is not one I trust. If you value fair refunds and being treated like a human being rather than a checkbox, do not order from boohoo.

Their refund system is very poor. Bought numerous items, after trying them on they don’t fit is unsuitable, up to 21 days to get your money back after a prompt return.
I like the site but I wouldn’t buy again because of their returns policy.
Don’t waste your time or money
My order was delivered 5 days late. I managed to return my order and get a refund normally, but I was charged for ‘parcel protection’. I removed it from the basket as I had no idea what it was and somehow still got charged for it. They refuse to do anything about it, I’ve asked for their complaints process 4 times and am yet to receive it. My chat has been ongoing with them since 17/12, they ignore messages they don’t want to reply to or just take absolutely ages to respond. I will be escalating and not using them again.
If you ask for a human/to speak to the customer services team the AI should transfer you to them.

Used to shop with boohoo and all was fine until December 2025! Not only have they stopped their next day deliver for Premier customers which isnt detailed on the renewal may I add……they are now refusing Refunds and giving unwanted Gift Cards!!
I made an order and have returned approximately half to Boohoo, the returned items i selected a Return for as I paid via Klarna for the items. Never been a problem before, i received an email stating they had received my items and my refund would be returned via my original method of payment to find they have sent me a Gift Voucher for the £60.20. I dont want a give voucher. I have been fighting it since. Boohoo are deliberately breaking the consumer law act 2015 by doing this and are refusing to cancel the gift vouchers and issue the refunds. I found out last night that they have “refused” my return on Klarna and i have an outstanding payment notice when ive already paid for the items ive kept. These items were returned and processed so you have the items and the money.
Do the decent thing void the gift card and notify Klarna of the return. You are damaging my credit rating by doing this and its illegal! You mislead people on your website and through the returns portal.
I have notified Trading Standards and if this continues I will be pursuing this further down the legal channels as its theft!
Absolute scammers!! Beware do not buy from Boohoo as I wont be anymore.
Why are we paying to return items
I don't feel that I should have to pay to return items when they are not as expected and sizes vary so much. I would prefer to shop on the high street if there were enough shops!

Placed an order back in November and paid via Klarna. Sent four items back and kept two.
Paid for the items that I kept on Klarna and everything was updated fine.
Then today.. 2 months after purchase and returning the items, I receive a message on Klarna saying I had an outstanding bill of £94? Contacted boohoo customer service to be spoken to by AI, to tell me I’d selected for my refund to go back onto a gift card, which I know I never did! I also haven’t received any gift card so now I’m having to pay nearly £100 for items that I never kept. I’ve emailed numerous people and sent numerous messages just to be told ‘you selected gift card, this case is closed, it’s passed the time’. How was I ever meant to contact anyone when I was only told 2 months later that there was an outstanding bill?!
Why can’t someone just give me a number so I can speak to an actual human being?!
Shopped with boohoo for many many years and I now refuse to order anything else from this company. App has already been deleted!

Used to be a great company but now everything is ai and you can’t talk to a real person. Parcels are never next day even though I pay for premier. And do not purchase using klarna because they decline returns reported through the app and then klarna will just take your money even though you don’t have the items anymore! Will never use again.
