Awful experience throughout

Communication was terrible and took over a week to get sorted. I had to constantly chase them. I've recycled phones in the past and it's normally a quick and simple process but this was far from it. I was lured in with a higher amount which was drastically reduced even though I said it was broken. In future I'll stick to mazuma mobile.

If you get a choice use a different company because it will save you time effort and you won't be utterly frustrated.

Also I don't want to even give one star because they don't deserve that

And to top it off there have emailed me to say they will send me £5 to change my stars to 3 stars. Not a chance that will happen

After reading other reviews a lot have had the same experience

Great service from Boost Gadgets. I sent them my old broken phone, and the whole process was quick, easy, and hassle-free. Communication was good, and I received payment promptly. I’d definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to sell an old device.

AVOID SELLING TO THIS COMPANY!!
I believed selling to this company would be smooth and easy, however when selling the item I had to bargain with them for 2 days straight, although I expected I would be offered the price I seen when selling, I later get an email saying my item is revalued, and they kept giving reason to why it’s need to be revalued. They said excuse such as wasn’t in the apple box etc which wasn’t stated anywhere when selling.
I was falsely offered a price originally which I ended getting significantly lower, if that was the case I would have never sent off.
PLEASE AVOID AND SELL SOMEWHERE THATS MORE TRUSTED and will give u at least a similar price to what was officially offered.

I chose to use Boostgadgets and I’m glad I did from start to finish the whole process has been so easy and well explained. The money was paid the very same day and I even got more money than I thought I would for a device that was broken. I dealt with someone called Katie who was very helpful and her customer service has been fantastic. I would use Boostgadgets for anything else in the future and also highly recommend

Friendly emails about phone that I sent in didn’t get full price was supposed to get but just waiting on the funds and person was nice enough

The company said my phone was a certain value based on brand-new condition boxed and sealed. When they got it they then said it was a risk to take a new phone in case it was blocked and revised the offer by £200 less when I said no, they refused to return my phone. They then sent me up an offer an additional £5 if I agree quickly to sell it, please avoid these people. They con artists

Do not trust their service, we had agreed £905 for a brand new iPhone 17 Pro Max 256gb with box still sealed from Argos, after they received the phone then come back saying they can offer £600 for a BRAND NEW phone.

After arguing them and threatening to go to the police they said if I leave a positive review then they will pay my money so I agreed to do that to get my money but now I have received it I’m changing my review to the truth.

I wish I had read the reviews before sending my device to Boost. I have sent in my iPhone 14 Pro Max which was advertised as £282 under a broken category. The phone is fully functional, however, has a large crack on the back that does not affect the devices operation.

I was asked for proof that I have paid the phone off, which is difficult when the phone was purchased in 2023. Since then, I have changed bank account and it was bought through Argos buy now pay later, which has changed over to Argos Pay, and now my previous transactions/payment history are obsolete. I was able to provide an old statement from 2025 which showed a small balance (unrelated to the phone) and my now current balance after recently buying a new phone to replace the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Adding the figures together clearly shows that the new balance had been cleared and reached £0.00, as the new total reflects the order amount for the new phone. All of which I have provided evidence for.

I was also told that the phone isn't under warranty so they can't complete repairs through apple. This doesn't make sense to me, I have selected that the phone is broken, which is in accordance with their specification listed on their website. The phone is already discounted due to the broken category, why are you taking the price even lower to £150?

I have had correspondence back that the gentleman will speak to his boss for a revised quote, however, I am not hopeful of this outcome due to the bad reviews as this appears to be a common theme.

I am unhappy about this service as it is very misleading. I have asked for the return of my device, and was then offered £160 instead for instant payment. Now I have been asked for a price that I will be happy with to try and match. This is completely unacceptable and comes across as manipulation tactics.

I will leave this genuine review here until I get the £282 as initially stated, or my device back in my possession. Either option will be a suitable resolution.

Great service, reduced but fair price offered as my device had a defect.

Con men. Sent a brand new phone, boxed and sealed and when received they reduced the offer from £522 to £320 saying they are taking a risk with phones in case they get blocked. One man band fronting as business. Asked for the phone back and refused to send it back and offered £5 more than revised offer. Contacting the police as this is fraud
