Had these cowboys 3 years ago. Wouldn't let them near. Shoddy work that cost me a lot to put right. Complained several times and never got one response. Go elsewhere!

Very impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, attitude and puctuality of the Borthwick employees that I encountered personally and also by email, SMS and phone calls. From my initial application for GBIS through to completion of cavity wall insulation everything went like clockwork. Work completed without delay, everything left clean and tidy. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent service and very easy to apply. From the people on the phone, the lad who did the initial survey and the lads who completed the work, they were all great. Looking forward to reducing my gas bill!

The company's representatives arrived slightly earlier than the agreed time, which was pleasing, and they were friendly and courteous throughout. Once they had started work they continued without a break, finishing earlier than the suggested time so that I had some unexpected free time to do some shopping. There were no issues with site clearance and, overall, they seem to have d ne an excellent job.

Great service. The team were quick efficient and tidy. Repairs to the walls after injecting the insulation are almost invisible. Friendly bunch too. Communication has been great throughout. No complaints at all

Fantastic staff from the staff who rang me to the workmen who came out. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Rang to give me updates and keep me informed every step. Workmen were professional and polite, did a fantastic job and made sure we were happy before leaving. Left no mess. Thank you so much for your hard work!

A team of three guys turned up, they just got on with the work on a raining damp morning of 11th February 2025. All three guy's were professional courteous and friendly. They carried out the work with efficiency within a good time period, which allowed us to get on with our daily routine. The guy's were thoughtful and polite. After completing the work they cleaned up all areas they used and they also asked me if I was satisfied with the work and cleaning up they done. I am now looking forward to the benefits of the installation work done today. I will definitely recommend this company to others according to my experience with
them.

They were booked in today to install loft insulation, had the confirmation email through on 16th saying arrival time of 8-10am. Booked a days holiday and emailed this morning to try and get a more specific ETA. Had email confirmation back at 9:05am to reconfirm between 8 & 10am. Gets to 11.30am no one has turned so I rang them. They said they emailed to cancel it last week - I haven’t had any email. Really poor communication and have wasted my time. Do not trust this company!
UPDATE: Following their reply below I have emailed my complaint along with their email thread to their in house complaints. I’ve also emailed Octopus Energy to make them aware as the associated energy company that passed them the job in the first place.

The team of installers arrived at the agreed time, worked quickly and efficiently, removed the old cavity wall insulation and injected the new product. They completed the work by filling all of the holes they'd needed to drill, and replaced any removed bricks.
I was happy with how they cleaned up afterwards and removed all debris.
The whole experience was without stress for us, (apart from the noise!) and we look forward to reaping the benefits of improved cavity wall insulation.

I’m posting this review as it’s been 15 weeks since I logged an official complaint with Borthwick. I chased after hearing nothing and was told they wouldn’t be following up the complaint as they came and rectified the faults - no apology at all or offer to repair/compensate for the damage to my property. I’m now in the process of taking this through the TrustMark complaints procedure.There’s too many issues to discuss at length so here’s a list of what to expect after a Borthwick boiler fit…
Live mains cable left exposed in my child’s bedroom.
Dangerous positioning of gas pipe.
Workmen playing a podcast on speaker with swearing and adult themes when my young children (7 & 5) were in the room.
No shoe coverings so all carpets muddy (rainy day and they were in every room).
The day after the fit - my daughters bedroom flooded, due to faulty valve fit - 1 saturated room and no hot water or central heating.
1 days emergency unpaid leave from work to rectify.
1 week later master bedroom valve failed flooding that room, and yet again no hot water or heating.
Another unpaid leave day to rectify.
A month later my daughters valve fails again, flooding her bedroom again and this time it came through the ceiling and was running down the walls downstairs. It also saturated the plug socket in her room so badly that it was condemned- it was so wet the plaster behind it had crumbled. That’s the only socket in her room - trying to get a 5 year old to sleep without her nightlight was not fun.
During the final repair one of the Borthwick employees took photos and encouraged me to make a formal complaint (I already had at that stage) as his clothes were soaked through after working in my daughters bedroom. Despite all this damage to my property, I didn’t even get as much as an apology.

Very poor customer service they just don't get back to you with complaints or when you ring for advice absolutely disgusting and they don't care whatsoever.i got wall insulation in and radiator s one radiator was 2 inches higher than window sill no one would come out and replace it with correct size so it's still like that ..a poor plastering job on bedroom wall it was perfect before they touched it now it catches my eye every time I'm in bed .the amount of money they make from eco4 these jobs should be to a high standard unfortunately not in this case😞

All teams have carried out their work with courtesy and professionalism, from insulation through boiler fitting and ventilation they have all worked non stop to complete the work involved, even having the manners to clean up after completion.
I can't thank Borthwick/Oak enough.
