Had these cowboys 3 years ago. Wouldn't let them near. Shoddy work that cost me a lot to put right. Complained several times and never got one response. Go elsewhere!

Excellent and efficient service
Communication was really good kept up to date from booking appointment and reminder
Workman were extremely professional and carried out the cavity wall insulation smoothly and efficiently.
Would highly recommend.

Borthwick government boiler grant

Awful experience, turned up a day earlier than expected, i had a heart attack 3 years ago and have been off work since (45 years of paying ni and tax so i qualified for the government grant)was treated like a scum bag who hasn’t worked,
Any way they left with a radiator that pours out water in my hall way, so we have had no choice but to turn it off,as it’s getting really cold we have no choice but to turn it on again , and mop up the puddles, sent many emails asking for something to be done, no response, they have taken the government grant money and ran.
Even tried ringing Samantha from the company always goes to voicemail, never returned the call.
AVOID THIS COMPANY
Use any , and i mean any other company0/10

My property is damaged from workmanship.

Lads fitting my boiler were fantastic, encountered problems with water pressure on installation which they stayed till 8.40pm, with their hard work and not stopping for lunch I said we would tidy up after them it had been a long stressful day for them.
A week later yesterday I woke to water noise in the early hours, got out of bed got near my bedroom door to be hit by pressurised water, which my toilet cistern overflow was gushing out water. I felt the pressure on my taps all around was too strong and not like I was used to. The system had been making some really strange noises. I expected on contacting them I would be dealt with quickly, we had water and electrics mixing, which I explained and they would only come to us next day, I call first thing too as desperately trying to get hold of them due to the danger of water and electrics mixing. They did not seemed bothered or treat the situation with priority. The installers told me their workmanship was covered, water into my property was not like this prior to the work. Something is not right and I am not happy. Leaving a family with no water, electric and heating is not on especially in freezing conditions. My landing and bedroom soaked, which leaked to my downstairs through the kitchen ceiling. I received no apology for being hit by boiling hot water due to the pressure of water since the boiler was fitted. I am now in contact with my council, trading standards and taking legal advice as I am not happy with the after service. The problem is not rectified.

Poor Service

This property is owned by an 83 year old recently widowed lady. Since the installation the heating only works spasmodically. The bedrooms on some occasions are uninhabitable because of the cold.

The water temperature in the property varies considerably and some occasions the water from the hot tap is boiling, a serious health and safety issues for an elderly lady living alone.

The general standard of the workmanship has been extremely poor and trying to get anyone to deal with our complaints has been more than difficult.

Harassment

Anyone thinking of using this company, don’t! What a vile company they are! The manager from the Hartlepool office is nothing but an unprofessional abusive person. This company will hound you to the point of harassment. Avoid!

Very friendly boys

Very friendly boys . they let me know what they were doing. at all times . they never stopped. & they cleaned up afterwards. they did a wonderful job . & the boy who fitted my new boiler. was just as friendly. & cleaned up after himself. overall couldn’t be happier .

Brilliant Borthwick!

We recently had loft insulation, gas combi boiler and a PIV ventilation system installed in our home, as part of the ECO4 scheme. I couldn't recommend more! From the canvaser that knocked on the door to tell us about it, the surveyor, Sam who phoned and did all of the admin side, to Tom and Alex that
fitted the boiler. Every member of Borthwick were fabulous, explained everything in detail and always on hand to answer questions! We had an old back boiler and the change the combi has made to family life is great, no more waiting for thd water to get hot for a bath! The best bit of this is that we didn't pay a penny as part of the scheme, even though both me and my partner work (we never get anything FREE!)
Thank you Borthwick, you have updated our home to be more economical and made a massive change to our lives.

I have to say that the 3 men who came…

I have to say that the 3 men who came today to work on the house could not have been more friendly and courteous. They completed the work without any fuss and left everything clean and tidy upon completion. I would highly recommend them to anyone for future work. Thank you from a satisfied customer.
