Didn’t receive my feb issue of…

Didn’t receive my feb issue of gardeners world, so completed form for replacement….what I got was an immediate automated response telling me no issue available and 1subscription will be added to my contract. Since a have a continual rolling subscription this is basically worthless and it doesn’t appear they are even checking stock…not even an offer of a refund…surely this is not acceptable

Don't use cancel as an option on the contact us form

I've been attempting to cancel my subscription for what feels like an eternity. Despite filling out the cancellation form numerous times, I've had zero success. I'm left in the dark about whether I'm still being charged. Today, I discovered that the website's contact form, specifically for canceling subscriptions, is utterly useless. My subscriber number wasn't even being recognized.

I placed an order for delivery in the United States

I placed an order for delivery in the US in October and have yet to receive one copy! I have emailed them several times and while they do respond. Nothing ever happens to solve the problem!!

I have extended by another copy as the next issue is out of stock and I have ordered a replacement copy of January 24. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery. I trust the replacement will arrive safely.

Magazine not arrived

I purchased a subscription for my Nephews birthday which was due to arrive on 11.01.2024. The magazine has not yet arrived. I have contacted buy subscriptions using their contact page, but have not received a response. I have tried calling the UK number but the number is not connected. Unsure how to proceed.

Third attempt to order Top Gear subscription

Ordered a Top Gear magazine subscription in early December as a gift for my dad for Christmas. Never received an email with a
subscription number so contacted them as the money had been taken from my account
only to be advised that the order
hadnt processed correctly? Did question when or if I'd have ever been advised of this?! Was reassured that a refund would be arranged with the finance department. Reordered online again the money taken but this time an email sent with all the details of the subscription and a subscription number, so logged into my account and all looked ok.
Chased the refund only to be advised this hadn't been escalated to the finance department, was advised this would be requested.
Then I received an email a few days later thanking me for renewing the subscription for another 12 months? Not a request from myself. Again I had to contact customer services.
A few days after placing the 2nd
attempted order I received an
email to say there was a glitch
with the subscription the email
was sent as they closed before
Christmas, so I was left without a
gift to pass to my Dad.
After Christmas I finally received the refund from the 1st subscription and also the second one but no communication, so I was left with no subscription.
Third time lucky I reordered, received the token email with my order no. and the money
looks to have been taken, but I'm yet to receive a follow on email with my subscription number making me wonder whether history is repeating itself! I've contacted them so will see what the outcome is, just want a gift for my Dad.
Never used this site before and it has been a truely disappointing experience not to mention frustrating. It seems one system isnt speaking to another the emails are generated randomly but no-one is picking up on theses glitches, or being proactive about sorting, poor customer service.
I have used other magazine subscriptions before but never experienced such a shambles as this company.
I am still hopeful that the last
order I placed on the 28 Dec will be processed correctly and that my Dad will finally receive his gift but I won't hold my breath. Reading through comments it seems I'm not the only one experiencing a poor service. Really disappointed.

My Radio Times has been arriving in plenty of time to be useful. Is there any way of including with it a few hours of time so that I can read all I wish to read. I have 100s of copies stashed away. I'm hoping 1 day I may be able to read the interesting articles I'm sure await me.

My son bought my wife a gift card for Xmas only for us to find you can only use it on a few magazines and not the one she wants
This company sells gift cards that can only be used on 10% of its products absolute disgrace. They claimed they couldn’t find any order details and when I forwarded the email with proof they stated they could not respond to this email even though they’d been responding up to then STEER CLEAR

Non-receipt of issues

Having subscribed I've yet to receive any issues. Should have received three issues by now but none have arrived so will be cancelling the subscription. Very poor experience.

Rude and unhelpful customer service

I ordered a magazine subscription on 28th November that included free sacueters for my dad's Christmas present. I was not aware the payment wouldn't be taken the day I brought it (I thought it was taken straight out of my account just like any other payment would). Instead they tried to take the payment 3 and a half weeks later without notice. The payment failed as I didn't know it would be coming out my account. When I phoned to sort it out the woman on the other end of the line was unbelievably rude and unhelpful. She kept asking me for a code - which I haven't received and didn't know what she was talking about. Instead of allowing me to pay and reissue what I had ordered she tried to give me a different subscription which is not what my dad wanted for Christmas. I am now left with no present 3 days before Christmas. I can't get over how rude and unhelpful this woman was the only thing I'm gutted about is not knowing her name to report it.

Three months since order and NO magazines

I purchased a subscription to Simply Crochet on Sept 24 and have yet to receive a single issue. My subscription order says my first issue was due Oct 31, and it's now Dec 22. When I wrote customer service, they did not investigate the problem. They simply replied that no more copies of the missing issue were available, so they would extend my subscription by one month. I wrote again and said TWO months were missing, and got the same reply about the second missing issue. However, both these back issues are still available for sale on their site, and when I check my online account, neither of the subscription extensions have been applied. I wrote again about both these issues and got another boilerplate reply telling me my subscription was expiring on Aug 6 2024. Something is seriously wrong with this customer service department.

You will not receive promised eGift cards as part of subscription offers

Received Black Friday email deal offer to renew/begin subscriptions for various magazines with an added extra gift of £10 M&S eGift card offered for each one renewed/subscribed to. As I have subscribed to both BBC Easy Cook magazine and BBC Good Food magazine for quite a few years now, thought I'd renew and get the added extra gift cards even though I still have a few issues remaining on my subscriptions. Subscription renewal was easy enough - HOWEVER I have only received 1 of the 2 promised eGift cards and after contacting customer service several times I am still no further forward. First they told me I would in fact receive Amazon vouchers through the post. Then, oh no, that information is wrong, you will receive eGift cards - check your spam folder. That's it ... no further help offered. I've repeatedly tried asking when I should expect to receive the missing eGift card, but my question is ignored. I'm seriously considering cancelling all my subscriptions with this company because I feel cheated and ignored. They are quick to take your money but when there is an issue with magazine delivery or free gifts with subscriptions, they don't seem to want to know or care!! So disappointed, especially since I've been a loyal customer for years. I don't feel my loyalty is being repaid. My advice - think twice before commiting to a subscription with this company.

Don't bother!

We were warned about how unreliable the MotD magazine subscription is by friends who had had bad experiences with magazines not turning up but my son was really keen so we decided to give it a try for a birthday present... we received the first two issues but the second two didn't arrive and we were told they had no more copies of those issues to send out to us and would add extra to the end of our subscription. These extra editions never showed up on our account so I decided to cancel the subscription. I was partially refunded but was charged for the copies that we had never received! When I queried this, I was sent the two old editions that we had not received (and they apparently previously didn't have...) - obviously these were now out of date and we had bought them anyway to replace the missing subscription copies! Don't bother with this - you'll just end up with disappointed kids and out of pocket!

I am sorry to read you had such a poor experience with your MOTD subscription deliveries, it looks as though the replacements were sent before the cancellation, often issues will come back into stock if they are very recent, I apologise for the frustration this must have caused, your subscription payment will now be refunded in full.

Failed online order

I have tried several times to purchase a Radio Times magazine subscription online but each time it doesn’t complete. I have been in touch with my credit card company to make sure I haven’t been charged and received a message to say “ the transaction is declined as not being processed in line with industry regulations”.
I have called the subscription order line but the person I spoke to was unable to offer the same price as the online price so I haven’t placed an order. I don’t feel confident ordering from this company.
