The most RACIST rail company in the country!! My partner from Hong Kong recently travelled to Southend from West ham not knowing that her oyster which had plenty of credit on it doesn't work at Southend due to the pathetic pricing system the railways have in place! Anyway the station guards let two Spanish gentlemen who were in front of my partner at the gates just pay the remainder of the fare. Yet they refused to allow my partner to do the same and proceeded to charge her a £100! fine!! Filthy RACIST scum!
Given wrong ticket
Queued to get a ticket for the following day, to find out I've been issued a ticket for the same day. This is because the woman behind the counter was too busy talking and not paying attention to customers. Now I've got to waste my time getting my ticket changed through no fault of my own.
Poor online experience
Directed here from the national rail app after tickets were not available on Trainline. Labyrinth, clunky ticket process reminiscent of the early internet days. If you are unfortunate enough to have to buy tickets for C2C you are better to do it at the physical ticket stands (if you can find one). Embarrassing step backwards for rail travel.
Awful Customer Service
I have just missed my train from Westcliff (17:15 on Wednesday 28th August), because the employee in the ticket office refused to serve me and insisted I use the machine outside. If he worked for me he would be summarily dismissed for providing awful customer service.

Ongoing refund issue with C2C
I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with your handling of my refund request, which I submitted back in December 2023 due to industrial action.
Over the past eight months, I have made countless attempts to resolve this issue, through both emails and phone calls. During my last call, I was assured I would receive a callback within a week, yet no one reached out. Today, after speaking with your representative Oliver, I was told that I couldn't speak to a manager and would need to wait an additional 1-2 weeks for a callback. This is unacceptable. It took mere minutes to process my ticket purchase, yet over eight months later, I am still waiting for my refund.
Why is this taking so long? I have complied with every step required, including submitting my request online and mailing in my physical ticket. To add to my frustration, the weblink you provided for the refund process did not work.
What more do I need to do to get my refund? How many more times do I need to contact your team before this is resolved? It feels as though my request is being completely disregarded.
I expect immediate action on this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and a swift resolution.
I bought a ticket through the C2C app…
I bought a ticket through the C2C app and it registered as a ticket for the next day. When I got stopped by the ticket inspector and showed them my ticket, they fined me and threatened to prosecute me for avoiding the fare even though I had purchased a ticket, just for the wrong day (tomorrow). It was an honest mistake and I clearly was not trying to avoid a fare, but the app automatically purchased my tickets for the next day when I clicked repurchase, which has caused this penalty. I don't recommend the app or the train line, as I could’ve used my card to pay for a new ticket for the correct day and my appeal was refused.
Worst Train Service in England
Worst train service in the whole of England. Rude staff members, always delays and they still have the cheek to increase prices! Shocking, avoid if possible.

Services get cancelled or delayed on an almost clockwork rota system but still can’t seem to be able to predict when these happen. The tickets are so high that my bank has classed it as my majority shareholder of my personal savings. The workers deny any sort of real help or responsibility but are happy to strike like it’s a public holiday. The app never shows updates in time so I have to get on 5-6 different train apps on several tabs and windows to confirm changes, sometimes I have to open pornhub in front of my partner because it was much more easier to explain without looking like a maniac. And as an added bonus, the TOILETS ARE NEVER BLOODY OPEN! … so I pissed myself.

Just sad officers waiting to harass anyone for a 3.50 ticket calling them liars and laughing as it's amusing how much they strike and how a 15minutes train cost more than it was before with their late train.Its just sad they feel amused to harass us when they need our money for their wages.Better take an hour train than use c2c again.So quick to give a penalty over one paying for their so bad service.They hardly deserve the star if it was an option.
C2C trat passengers with contempt
If C2C have an issue, they just don't bother to use any back up plan. 27th due to electricity issues, they just stopped the services, and told people to make other arrangements, but there are not alternative travel between some stations. C2C just don't care and have nothing but contempt for their customers who have to use the services. I wish I could move to a location where I don't have to use C2C. Too many instances where C2C have not bothered to provide an adequate service

C2C are honestly the WORST EVER!
If I could give a zero I would, but I can’t so I give C2C a 1. Love to strike and make it difficult for other people to get to work when they don’t provide bus replacements, late for work, stuck far from home, lose money and almost their jobs! So much for satisfactory, consistency and commitment for easily accessible travel to everyone instead they’re super unreliable and useless. And then when a mistake was made with buying a train ticket they’ll rob you of all your money with their ‘penalty fares’, not even the option to buy the correct train ticket with them! Staff know the job and salary they’re applying for just like the rest of us do, it’s not fair for them to strike like they do and not provide replacements; here’s some advice if you don’t like the job FIND ANOTHER!! And also some train stations never ever has any C2C staff members! If there was another service available for me to use to get to where I need to go, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD…

On the rare occasion that these lazy, greedy people aren't striking for more money, they're providing you with top-notch services such as, Constantly late or cancelled trains, barely functioning trains, carriages that smell like vomit, broken toilets, AC that's set to "hot sauna" if its working at all, broken ticket machines and staff with the intelligence of a dead goldfish. You can always count on C2C to ruin your day!

no notice nor announcement visible anywhere in the station that trains are skipping Upminster. Stood in cold wind for half an hour, only to find out buried deep down on c2c website "If you are traveling to Upminster please use the District line.". Without obviously saying the line is skipping Upminster.
I get that incident happens and they are taking measures to fix. It is the appalling communication (or should I say, completely lacking of communication) that is most annoying. What harm would that be to put a sign notifying people they skip a stop?
Just a piece of paper isn't it? Considering the incident was reported yesterday and it has been more than 24 hours and nothing has been communicated. This explains operation of this company is an utter shxt show.
