Basildon C2C station nightmare!!

Basildon train station is the worst in the district. Severe shortage in staft,ticket office and shop mostly closed and lifts constantly out of service with no knowledge of that being the case either through the online website or across the rail line station announcement.

Punctuality

Wonder if C2C can publish there punctuality for the Grays to Fenchurch st service which leaves Grays Station weekdays at 4:46am?

You guys are getting later and later by the day.
And when will the underpass be Complete?..your already 2x months over your year long schedule. Jan24- Jan 25?? We in march guys with no sign of reinstatement of the underpass from platform 1-2/3

Constant train delays

Constant train delays, constant signaling issues. I've had countless journeys ruined because of these services. And then they have the audacity to raise prices too. The cost vs the quality of service provided is completely disproportionate

Freezing cold

I travel from Ockendon to Limehouse every day for the past 2 years. It is now winter and the temperature outside is 1 degree , the same as in the train. They never turn any heating on. It is freezing inside the train .
I wonder if the drivers work in nearly negative temperature in their cabs as they never seem to think about the passengers.
Terrible experience at a huge cost !

100% still the misery line

C2C has never really been a nice rail network. From LTS the old slam door trains to the ones they have now are old, they smell and are very dirty inside.
The biggest problem I have with C2C they never have staff out on the stations it’s always security from an outside company and the customer service is rock bottom.
They need to take a leaf out of Greater Anglia’s book and have nice friendly customer service staff on the gate lines and ticket offices.
And please refurnish your old trains they are smelly and dirty

unbelievable horrible!

i can not believe in london its so hard to travel! c2c is worst and horrible travel option people can have! they doing nothing! i dont know who is working for the operations but person is 0 !
people lives in RAINHAM they are working and living goddd!!!! why noone cares about this area!

One of the worst services

One of the worst services. The slowest train. Constant stopping every 2 minutes for a journey that’s meant to take 7 minutes max to West Ham from Barking. Takes at least 15 minutes for a straightforward journey that’s only one stop. No communication from the drivers as to why the train is so delayed.Honestly ridiculous better off taking the district line. If I could give negative stars I would.

C2C has lost its touch

C2C has lost its touch. Service has deteriorated severely over the last few years. Constant delays. This started happening since Trenitialia took over the service. Why should a foreign company run our service? Skimping out on our services to fund their own services in Italy. TfL should takeover the service to at least Grays.

C2C is the worst swear word

Once I used to rate this company extremely highly and indeed my grand dad worked for them. The service now speaks for itself. Since closing the ticket office means you get screwed over by the machine taking the kids out for the day. A parking fine issued two months after the day out even though I have the receipt to prove I paid for full days parking is just salt in the wounds. Enjoy your money because I'm never using your trains again.

Unreliable and infrequent.

I’ve been on third world services that perform better than you, and with more carriages. Your service has no excuse for the level of shit to which you stoop. I watched grown women cry with their children because you provided not just a poor service but a pointless service. I guess you satisfied some government target or corporate goal but the people you cater for got a truly raw deal and for how much? You should bow your heads in shame.

Customer service barely exists

Customer service barely exists, there's incorrect and out of date information on their website that they haven't changed. Smartcard often breaks and the app is unusable.

Refunds a joke!

When you pay using your bank card and the train doesn't turn up, they should refund you but they don't! Anything under £5 my fare was £4 they said they won't refund under £5 and why should we pay fees when asking for a refund?! Twice this has happened to me, I'm on minimum wage and then had to pay for a bus ticket.
Absolutely disgusting especially when they're at fault!

Very helpful and friendly member of C2C staff.

My friend and I had a day in London yesterday, We arrived at Thorpe Bay station ready to fight with the ticket machine. How great too find that there was a lovely young man, in the ticket office. He was so helpful and friendly in sorting out what tickets we needed. Thank you to that staff member and C2C, in bringing back staff for the ticket office.

Smartcard made me pay twice.....twice.

I bought a return ticket and loaded it on my smartcard. It definitely loaded because the outward journey was fine, letting me through the barriers at both ends.
On the way home, however, it would not let me through the barriers. The guard refused to let me through, and I was forced to buy another ticket. When I got home, I checked and the ticket was definitely on the card.
I complained to C2C that I had had to pay twice - they sent me an automated response that said little more than "remember to always tap in and out" - which I HAD done, and had said so in my email. They have not responded to any follow ups.
Just in case, I ordered a new smartcard and used that one today......and it failed in exactly thew same way, at the same barrier.
C2C seem quite content that there is a clear failure with their systems, and that I am repeatedly having to pay for additional tickets because their smartcards fail.
