Disappointing
The quality of the telephony customer service is unfortunately very poor. The staff often come across as cold and unfriendly, and I do not understand why there seems to be such an air of superiority in their tone and manner. In addition, written communication is extremely slow when dealing with technical issues.
What was particularly disappointing was the apparent indifference towards concerns raised about the in-store experience. For example, I explained the curt and rude behaviour of a specific staff member, yet Clare did not even acknowledge this with an apology on the company’s behalf. That lack of basic empathy and accountability is frustrating.
It is a real shame, because some of the products are genuinely very nice. However, experiences like this make it difficult to justify returning, especially when local independent coffee shops make far more effort to provide friendly and attentive service.
I also question the purpose of sending “How did we do?” surveys if genuine customer feedback is simply dismissed when people take the time to provide it. It defeats the point of asking for feedback in the first place.

Well done to Chloe & Zak who held it together & made sure the coffee experience was ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ as always.

DISGUSTING TOILETS - WOODSIDE PARK NORTH FINCHLEY
The toilets here are absolutely disgusting and stomach churning!!!!! I'm so tired of complaining about them/ I also feel sorry for the staff cause they cant keep cleaning them... it's an actual sh!t hole!!!! and needs to be industrial cleaned and you should only let customers use them. i also had a muffin today that tasted like cardboard has obviously been left here for days!!! i used to love this café nero cause it's cute in there and loads of power sockets i could just work and drink my flat whites in peace... i sped about 15 quid a day in here... but it's becoming more and more disgusting!!! these toilets are vile and i have to pop over to McDonalds to use the loo. at this rate. I'd be better off working from Mcdonalds at this rate!!!

I tried to read the tiny print, which I could not read it, it was so frustrating… why not have colour labels or a larger font… apart from that I do like the company
Customer Services deserve 5 stars!
Had an issue with a voucher on my app at Cafe Nero in Sidcup which suddenly disappeared at the till but hadn’t registered. I called customer services and the lady on the other end was really helpful. She solved the problem quickly and I managed to get my free coffee! She was kind, helpful and friendly! Thank you!
Preorder - big breakfast meeting
Had a big breakfast meeting. The staff in Cirencester were so helpful, letting me pre-order bacon ciabattas and pastries, and having them all hot and packed up for me to collect!
Will certainly be using them again - high recommend!

Staff at certain Cafe Nero branches performing poorly.
I went to get a frappe latte on Saturday at Cafe Nero Bedford Road Charing Cross.
A guy served me.
I explained what I wanted .
The service was bad and I have had frappe latte from several cafe nero branches, he really made it awful.
It wasn't as it should be quite watery.
And yet I am told that there is a recipe that they should follow in all the branches.
I couldn't understand why he made it that way.
I experienced the same thing in cafe nero in John Lewis in Westfield Sheppherd bush.
I could not taste the ice in the latte,it was room temperature so much supposedly is frappe.
In both cases they were guys.
They are working but with no willingness to consider the importance if customers. They also fail in both cases that customers pay their wages.I found in both cases these guys are reckless in preparing the beverages and take customers for granted,no courtesy or compassion.
I also want to point out the server at the Bedford branch charing cross,took a straw wet it in something in the sink and put it in my drink.
I watched him, he then threw away the straw and put another one on my latte.
I like to know from Nero cafe is that a normal practice?

This newbie has to go!
Love Caffè Nero and have been a loyal customer for years. Had a terrible experience in the Brighton store opposite Churchill Square. Had a Rookie making the drinks and doing tills which is absolutely fine but he was judgemental and rude and very slow. I was fully okay with waiting some time as he was new but this was excessive! I ordered a honey oat pecan latte decaf and he didn’t use decaf and stood there for a few minutes before actually asking a manager how to make the drink! Then found one of his grey hairs on it after all of that!!
Before we left he made a rude comment about my order and made me feel guilty for ordering a slice of cake!! Now I feel too guilty to eat it! It was ONE slice!!
Usually a great experience but this newbie has to go!
A bad experience!
In Salisbury the other day my wife and i decided to go for a coffee has we do every week. Has we went in there was a table by the window so my wife went to sit down and a women came up sat down said this table is mind, we that she stated abusive language which my wife found the whole experience very upsetting. So in future we shall not be going back.

Cafe Nero, wimbeldon- thought of getting a mocha and enjoying my birthday cake in the sun around 10 am
Mocha- despite asking for no froth the 3/4 cup had 1/4 froth
As to all the bakery items- of what was there was something the cafe should have got rid of at the end of the day yesterday
The muffin I picked looked reasonable but next year I will go to M& S or Aldi-it will hopefully be a little fresher and worth the £2/£1
I won’t be bothering with your birthday treat next year
Rude Manager
I visited Cafe Nero in Salisbury today at 5:00 pm and waited for over ten minutes in a queue of 3 people whilst a Trainee Barista struggled and the queue did not change.
During this time the manager was slowly rearranging tables and totally ignored the poor trainee.
I approached this manager and suggested that the trainee was struggling and we had been waiting for at least ten minutes and needed help
His response was “You need to be patient”
I informed him that if that was his attitude I would go elsewhere and submit a negative report
I accidentally spilt half my cappuccino…
I accidentally spilt half my cappuccino down myself and across the table. I told the girls who were working and immediately one came over with a mop, blue roll and kindness cleared up my mess, whilst even thanking me for telling her so that I didn't feel bad. She.asked if I wanted another drink and I said it didn't matter however the second batista brought over a fresh cappuccino for me. Very kind staff will highly recommend.
Seating limited by long term laptop user
Again another visit to the Basingstoke waterstones cafe and struggled to get seating as most table were taken up with students working on laptops most of which appeared to have been there for a very long time and many were consuming food and drinks purchased elsewhere. This is unfair on genuine users of the cafe
Cafe Nero Smashing Customer Service
So Livingston Designer Outlet is just the best experience the staff are amazing, attentive, friendly, very professional and always deliver delicious drinks.
The cafe is always well stocked, with beautifully presented treats and snacks. The Livingston team keep the store like this no matter the time of day you visit.
The environment is spotless clean, comfortable, and inviting… love coming here each morning before work and I have lots of cafes to choose from but the team in Livingston make you want to come back.
A failure in functionality and professional staff handling.
I came with my family for coffee but was met with a shocking lack of basic hospitality. When I attempted to pay with a £50 note, I was dismissively told: “go, change it and come back.”
The situation quickly turned hostile when I objected to being sent on an errand to solve the branch’s lack of a very cheap UV note-checker. Instead of de-escalating, staff involved others and voices were raised, turning a family outing into an aggressive public confrontation.
Fostering a hostile environment like this usually points to deeper decadency issues—a complete failure in branch functionality and professional staff handling.
I was left to de-escalate the situation myself just to prevent a very disappointing experience from turning into something much worse.
