Candle House Collective is an immersive theatre company behind cult hits like Lennox Mutual, a customer phone line that falls in love with you, and CLAWS, a blockbuster thriller-by-phone for an audience of one. Created by Evan Neiden, they're the pioneers of Alternate Reality Theatre. The New Yorker called their work “a kind of waking dream,” and others have called it "the Twilight Zone of immersive theatre." They've been featured in The New York Times and American Theatre, with honors from Columbia University, IndieCade, and the Denver Film Festival.

CLAWS was amazing!
I did CLAWS and it was so fun!! I'm a HUGE fan of horror audio dramas and it really felt like I was in one! I like how you get a part so you're able to get into character really feel immersed in the horror. Would totally do this again with a different storyline/challenge.

Claws is creepy and well-acted, but leaves questions
Claws is creepy and well-acted. I was thoroughly engaged the whole time and would certainly recommend it. There are 2 things that could have improved it for me though.
I had some questions after the show about things that happened, but I don't know of any way to ask those of the creative team.
I also wish I'd known how personal it could get. Because I didn't know, I was reluctant to answer personal questions, and that ended up hindering the resolution of the show--if I'd somehow known that, I would have been more open/honest about those questions.

Incredible, Immersive Experience
Incredible, immersive experience. The intimacy and connection with the actor was both scary and exciting - his performance is what really makes it so effective. Sat in silence for a while after, working through what had just happened!

Provocative, challenging, and fun
This is a deeply provocative and disturbing immersive horror experience. During the conversation, I wrestled with my own demons and explored my own concept of the "self." It's a lot of fun, too, with moments of rich humor and humanity. Highly recommended for those who love a creative and cathartic psychological challenge.

Creepy, but not as scary as I thought.
This was an incredible experience. It was between a role playing game, proxy escape room, and a scripted play. The acting was very good. I have two small comments but I don't want to spoil anyone for anyone who hasn't had the call yet so I might find another way to give feedback. The price was very reasonable for the amazing experience. I wish I could have recorded it in some way. I highly recommend.
