Our solar panels were removed and set aside to allow other roof repairs to take place. After the repairs I contacted Carbon Rewind to enquire whether they could reinstall the solar panels. They confirmed they could and provided a convenient date to attend. The team arrived on the day and time expected and carried out the reinstallation smoothly and efficiently. I would like to thank Carbon Rewind for arranging to attend and Gentian plus his team for getting the equipment operational so quickly. Great job!

Just too many people to thank for transforming our house.
We had Barney come out the first day to install the PIV, then Nick and Dale did our loft insulation, then Jon and his colleague did the wall cavity insulation.
I have to say, they were all brilliant, but Shard stands out the most for the 5 + days he was at our house installing the heat pump. Not only is he a diamond geezer, he's also the most professional worker you'd ever come across. The dedication he puts into his labour is exemplary, and Carbon Rewind are very lucky to have him.
Victor came to finish the heat pump off as it was a complex task, and he also did wonders to get it working great.
Finally, Genti and his merry men were excellent with the installation of the solar panels. His team worked flat out to make it work, and my family will be eternally grateful for all you have done to transform our lives.
I can hand on heart recommend Carbon Rewind's dedicated work force as an excellent proposition when it comes to making your house more energy efficient.

Vic-Engineer/Plumber. After so long without Hot Water & Heating & so many problems since the work started Vic seems like an Angel. He got the system up & running, fixed the main leak that was left during installation & finished off the Lagging inside & out. The two leaks in the bathroom cupboard that where temporary fixed will need more investigation & possibly require work doing as was advised by the Plumber Mihai who was sent by Carbon Rewind on the 26/03/24. Just half a day snagging left for someone & hopefully all will be finished (apart from the cracked ceilings that I am taking advice on at present).

To date I can only comment on The Carbon Rewind electrician who fitted two eco friendly fans in my bungalow, one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. Cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to commence at the end of April 2024. The electrician Luke Cooper was friendly, helpful and clearly very experienced. He ensured everything was installed correctly and tested. Luke was also incredibly tidy and removed all boxes and rubbish. Luke is a true professional and I would recommend his workmanship to anyone who required his services.

Amazing service, both Mike and Jon were friendly and did excellent work. Highly recommend this company.

Excellent leaders of installation crew especially Ellis Cormack and radiator installation and control room layout and plumbing especially noteworthy. Very impressive for expected local visitors with my recommendations. Fan/compresssor installation much quieter than anticipated which is excellent both for close neighbours and wildlife (birds).

After reluctantly engaging in a conversation with Carbon Rewind following my negative review, it became evident that their willingness to engage does not translate into any meaningful resolution. Despite a lengthy discussion, they adamantly refuse to address the outstanding issues with the job they left incomplete at our property. Moreover, it was uncovered that their claim of being HIES certified on their website was false, as confirmed by HIES themselves. Their TrustMark certification, acquired less than a year ago, now appears questionable at best, especially considering their lack of accountability and integrity. I strongly caution against utilising their services, as my experience suggests they fall short of delivering on their promises and may not uphold the standards they claim to adhere to.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Don’t touch them with a 10 foot pole. You have been warned!
Poor poor experience!
Although a surveyor has attended before work commenced, everything became very stressful on the day the installation started. First of all, why have we got new carpets down, said that we did not have them at the survey, umm..yes we did!
Advised all of these would need to be ripped up, and the anger of this was directed at us, the customers.
The plumber then swiftly tells up, “there’s no way that’s going in there!” Referring to where the planned new heating unit would replace the old tank in the airing cupboard. The only proposed solution was to lose our larder, and for us to knock down a wall to now accommodate our fridge.
Also, the planned location of the air source heat pump also had to change, from the front of the house, to the side, causing further inconvenience and stress. The inconvenience to the workers was evident but unfortunately was directed at us.
As the installation went on, there came a point where they couldn’t connect to the shower room, as again, the surveyor had failed to check, and there was an issue connecting to our piping.
It was suggested we rip out our new bathroom to replace with copper piping!!
Not agreeing to this, having just spent £9k on this new bathroom, this left us with no bathroom for a week while we had to get our own plumber out to sort the issue. I should add, our family includes young children and disabled members.
Adding to this, the air source heat pump was leaking massively, and again we kept having to chase the company and it was as if, every person we spoke to had no idea, frustratingly we had to start over again and again.
So much time and expensive has been lost due to this firms incompetence, that following numerous complaints, and promised phone calls back that of course didn’t happen, that we had contact from the directors of the company.
After explaining at length, and many many phone calls later, a director attended the property himself. To agree with the faults, the damaged radiators etc. & suggested that really the air source heat pump needed to be replaced. He offered a leisure battery & 2 days of carpentry as a means of compensation.
Meanwhile, my partner had taken so much time from work and lost a considerable amount of money AND our electricity bill had risen to an unaffordable level, that he requested his costs be met.
This caused the directors of Carbon Rewind to send an email saying they are ceasing all work at the property!!!! Adding that finishing the installation would cause us “further stress!”
I should add that we had been storing the solar panels for 6 weeks +, surprise surprise, because of another miscommunication on their part. We also had scaffolding all around the back of our property ready for this final part of this installation.
Awful awful experience that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone!
This was meant to be part of the government ECO4 funding scheme.
Take it from me folks, it’s not worth it!
Our electricity bill has risen considerably because only half the promised install was done.
Just to add, the air source heat pump etc has not been replaced, nor has the faulty radiators etc. The company agreed to pay £1k of costs, which is a quarter of what this installation has cost us overall. But as I said, refused remedial work and ceased all work, because we complained.
Sadly, we are stuck with these higher bills now as the install of the air source heat pump pushed our EPC level to C meaning we are unable to have the rest of install funded elsewhere.

I wish we’d never had the displeasure of dealing with this company.
Trust me use a different company.

Great job done. Everything works as it should.
The workmanship has been great, Galu worked tirelessly and long hours with dedication, on his own for the best part as well. Clean and tidy worker, with limited disruptions, and he had to work around two dogs and one elderly relative.
Customer service has been great, any issues,( there wasn’t any to speak of) were delt with promptly.
As someone who was spectacle around air source heat pumps, and have read and seen so many bad installations, Carbon Rewind have really put my mind at rest.
I would recommend this company to anyone who is unsure around heat pump installations

In 2021, had my ancient economy 7 heaters replaced with what I was told would be more energy / cost efficient, modern ones. This was the worst decision I have ever made as the new units proved totally incapable of heating the space, which used to be the warmest place I had ever lived. With a now inhabitable living room, I contacted Carbon Rewind who passed me over to Dimplex claiming that the issues were to do with the settings, which turned out to be rubbish. Two cold winters later and they had done precisely nothing to investigate the issues. Eventually one of their electrical managers came out. Lo and behold, one of the heaters was faulty, which meant I was paying to charge the bricks, but the heat was not being released. He also noted that the heater units were generally far too small for the space and likely specced incorrectly. Without telling me, he adjusted the working unit and my bills suddenly increased by 40% as this one inadequate unit tried, in vain, to heat a large room to 30 degrees!
And my latest review with the latest.
In 2023, Carbon Rewind eventually came out and fitted some Elnur heaters, which they had specced as larger units. Accepting that they had made a mistake, they offered to install some extra heating to make up for the inconvenience in the form of a kitchen heater, a fan to drive heat downwards and a heated towel rail. Both the towel rail and fan ordered were unfit for the job. They managed to buy another towel rail on the fly, failed to bleed it, and forgot to earth one of the new heaters. Out they come again. I was advised to select a suitable fan, which they would later refund or order on my behalf. This whole matter was supposed be in progress, with many promises to rectify the issues made.
However, not only did my house get no warmer with the new units, but I also noticed that my economy heaters were now charging on a day rate at 98p per hour. I was told the fault was either with me as the operator, or with my supplier. I contacted my supplier and In the meantime, a Carbon Rewind expert came out to fiddle with the unit settings and I was told me to continue trouble shooting the issues. What they had failed to tell me that Elnur are in fact 24/7 comfort heaters.
When the supplier engineer came out, he confirmed that my meter had been rewired and that the supplier official seals had been cut. Without knowledge or permission, Carbon Rewind had rewired my meter so that it no longer runs on economy 7 and instead has a 24 hour feed. While they were at it, Carbon Rewind removed my duel feed inside house. If the supplier changed the meter back to economy 7 the entire heating system switched off. To be crystal clear, I have been taken off E7 by a contractor and not my supplier, which is illegal. Instead of apologising or disciplining their staff, Carbon rewind have denied that they tampered with my meter even though this has been evidenced. They have now stated that the heaters installed a few months ago, are out of workmanship warranty and therefore they are not going to fix the issues that they previously agreed to do. They claim that they left a live wire hanging from the ceiling because it was my job to buy a fan. They have offered a £50 Amazon Voucher for the inconvenience of 3 winters without adequate heating and have no intention of removing the expensive Elnur heating that is not like for like Economy 7. They suggested that if my supplier reverts the meter back to its original economy 7 wiring and my heating system no longer works, then they will send out an engineer to have a look. What they really mean is that while denying they illegally tampered with my meter, they will amend the issues that they created by putting things back to how they once were. Sounds very like getting rid of the incriminating evidence to me.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. The staff were constantly complaining about the ineptitude of company and seem to be constantly moving on. Rats from a sinking ship springs to mind.

Matt & Will who laid the insulation & installed the window vents were polite, helpful & cleaned up after them. Although their time here was short it was a pleasure to meet them.

Ellis Cormack installed the boiler. Excellent workmanship and a very friendly guy.

Great installation of heat pump.
Install was completed as planned within the time estimated. All the installers tidied up after completing various tasks. And all packaging rubbish was cleared. Very happy with the entire team who attended.

I was very nervous about having this work done but the guys were fab.
Tom, installation guys, Tyrone, kasper, Jimmy and Ben were polite kind and did a fantastic job.
