All the guys at Castle were great

All the guys at Castle were great, this is the second car we have purchased from them and the whole experience was a pleasure. Any issues we have had have been handled and dealt with promptly, we will continue to stay in the Castle family in the future, the events they hold are great fun and really include their clients.

They knowingly sold us a stolen/recovered/salvaged car without telling us

We bought a yellow Jeep Wrangler Rubicon WR70BKY from Castle Motors in Dec 2024 for £40,000. I asked Dean Flood the salesman where they had got it from, he said it had been traded in on another car. That turned out to be untrue. Within a couple of weeks the car developed a few faults, which Castle Motors agreed to fix. They ended up having the vehicle for four weeks. One of the faults, an oil leak from the front axle, had not been fixed properly. Tony Manning the workshop manager told me that it would be repaired by Jeep themselves this time. That turned out to be untrue. The vehicle was with Castle Motors for another seven weeks being repaired, at this point we had owned the vehicle for 5 months and it had spent most of its time back at Castle Motors being fixed. Since the faults had developed within 30 days of purchase I asked for my money back, which they point blank refused, saying that I had agreed to the timescales for it to be fixed. Which is untrue. At this point we had completely lost confidence in the car and in Castle Motors and my wife had been with a car for months. We tried to get a value from We Buy Any Car and Motorway, but the latter said they were not interested as it had been stolen and recovered. Getting desperate, I employed the services of Rejectmycar.com to get our money back. It turned out the car had been stolen, damaged, VIN plate messed with, ran on false number plates, dubious mileage changes and then bought by Castle Motors from a Salvage auction, badly repaired by them, the front axle was clearly damaged, before being sold to us. Legally this should have been declared by Castle Motors when they sold it to us. We got our money back, but we are almost £10,000 out of pocket due to the costs of Rejectmycar, hire cars etc. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE MADE - DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM CASTLE MOTORS

Mark, posting misleading & untrue information online is very unfair.

YES-We agree you purchased a Jeep from us, and yes there was a leak from a differential. And yes it took a long time to get the parts from Jeep as they were special owner & on back order.

And yes we agreed to refund it and have now done so in a timely manner.

Cars can go wrong, thats why warranties are given & we always fix them as quickly as possible So sorry that this happened but mechanical things break.

HOWEVER- many of your points are untrue & a complete fabrication.

We did not buy it from a salvage auction (why would we!?), we took it as part exchange from a gentleman who lives about ten miles from us & we have dealt with many times before!

Exceptional Service - Beautiful cars.

I highly recommend this garage so much so, following a phone call with Dale Enquiring about a car and promptly receiving a thorough walk around video, I jumped in my car and travelled 250 miles from Birmingham. When I got there the car was everything it was meant to be and more; a beautiful Mercedes AMG E53 Cabriolet.
Pre checks made the transaction smooth, seamless and without complication. All cars are protected by warranty and if you wish you are able to extend at a very competitive cost up to 3 years.
I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase and the way I was given a real VIP treatment from Dale.

If Calsberg made garages, it would be this one.

Please keep up the great work. Because it was worth the travel to get to you.

Before I purchased the car had asked…

Before I purchased the car had asked about the tires and was told the tires were new. They were not and had two different brand of tires. Cooper on the front and Goodyear on the back. Asked if it had a manual that came with the car and a title and was told yes. But received neither. Took over a week to have the car delivered. Without the manual don't know how to operate different things in car. Without title I can't register the car in WI. I need both

Good Comms on a vehicle that came to our attention. Was able to set up an inspection & visit easily. Vehicle was presented on a clear inspection position. Access for inspection fully available. Our contact 'Ollie' was helpful and was not 'sales pushy'. Company helped with all paperwork on transfer, registration and taxing. Delivered to the door (nearly we live in the sticks). We recommend this long standing Cornish Company. Warning ! there are low flying (but stationary) Lightening Jets near the forecourt.

This was one of the most genuine

This was one of the most genuine, smooth and transparent interactions I’ve had with a trader or I would go as far as to say in any sales related area. I was kept informed and given genuine advice and information to help the sale to go as smooth as possible. I can tell that if needed I could always come back for help in the reasonable future of my car.
Would 100% recommend.

Exchange of Jaguars

We purchased our new to us Jaguar helped by Ollie and completed our exchange of vehicles all on the same day. Ollie very kindly showed us around the very extensive site and various workshops within the area. Thank you Ollie for your help and great sense of humour. Our long journey home was a joy in the new car.

Brilliant from start to finish

Brilliant from start to finish, whether buying or selling a car - this family run company are superb and no expense is spared with prepping cars, attention to detail, customer service and ensuring an all round good motoring experience. I have had a number of cars from Castle now and they have all been fantastic, on the one occasion there was a minor issue with the boot latch, they fixed it with very short notice at no expense. Highly recommend using Castle Motors whether you're after a first car or a hyper car!

Recent visit to buy car

I recently visited the dealership to look and drive a car i was very keen to buy, i phoned the dealership @12 to book an appointment for 4.30 & when i got there for my time they had no record of my appointment. I was shown to the car and rushed to get out on test drive and really wanted time to look around the vehicle, but in the salesman words you know our cars are immaculate drive it to the front and you can go for a drive. i asked the sales man prior to the viewing to have the service records about what has been done etc and did not have that there to show or let me read just informed me he wouldn't have taken it in if it was not properly checked. when i got back form test drive i had left my car to be valued for part ex & massively under praised it and when i asked what the best price was for there car he got very arrogant and told me that he wasn't interested in my car as he doesn't see value in it because it's not £30k plus and that the car i was interested in wouldn't be dropped as he has people ringing and wanting the car even though it was £3k over priced he was going to call people to sell too, he then went on to inform he sells 20 cars a week and people want there cars so i either want it or not. He was extremely rude and arrogant and made me never want to but from there again after the way i was treated, just because i am not buying £50-£100k car i felt worthless and disgusted leaving there. shocking service and such a shame

Firstly I can only apologise if you didn't feel like you were a valued customer on your visit to our dealership. I have spoken with the staff member you saw on your visit and it didn't exactly transpire as you have made out in your review.
You were give ample time to look round and drive the vehicle and were not rushed as we don't close until 19:00 and you didn't leave until 18:13. The vehicle was freshly prepared and brought inside out of the rain in anticipation of your arrival which the salesman organised after your initial call earlier that day.
You clearly wanted to purchase the vehicle but got agitated and borderline aggressive when we wouldn't reduce or discount our vehicle. We explained many times how we price our vehicles accurately for the condition and mileage.
We even explained we had other interest in the vehicle but you had the first refusal whilst present in our showroom. This wasn't a sales pitch, as you probably noticed the vehicle was reserved straight after you left our dealership that evening and sale completed the very next day.
We do not treat any customer differently regardless if they are spending £3,000 or £300,000. We pride ourselves on our customer service and presentation of vehicles. Unfortunately on this occasion we couldn't agree a deal but feel this review isn't an accurate account of your visit. Hopefully next time you visit we can do business.

Return customer

Just purchased my second used car from Castle motors, the first purchase was back 2011, can't remember the salesman but I was extremely happy with the service I received and very happy with my used car. So much so that I had no problem with buying another car from them. It has been some time before the perfect car came up again in November 2024. Ollie was the salesman and the service was excellent, we had travelled some distance and were collected from the train station in the car and then driven to the garage. Ollie was very helpful and friendly and made the process of buying the car very easy. Also I would like to add that Ollie had made sure we had plenty of fuel in the tank for our drive home.

I recently bought a Jaguar XK150 coupe…

I recently bought a Jaguar XK150 coupe from Castle Motors.
I found the Staff to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. From when I enquired about the car the Sales Person was most helpful.
I travelled from Essex to the showroom to pick the car up. The car was beautifully presented. The detailing was perfect. Looking around the showroom(s) all the car stock were prodigiously presented.
The journey from Essex to Cornwall was well worth the effort. If and when I am in the market to change my car Castles Motors will be first on the list.
The Showroom was a little drive outside of Liskeard. I telephoned the showroom who sent someone to pick us up at the rail station.
The whole buying experience was made very easy.
Thank you.
The car performed perfectly on the journey home, despite the rain the whole way.

I was looking for a place to celebrate…

I was looking for a place to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and I couldn't have chosen better. The saloon’s layout is spacious yet cozy, with plenty of seating options for our group.

We started with an assortment of appetizers, including the loaded nachos and buffalo wings, both of which were delicious and generously portioned. For my main course, I opted for the ribeye steak, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes were a perfect match.

The service was impeccable; our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. This place has definitely won my heart!

Castle Motors let me down big time.

Castle Motors bought my car through Motorway. It was a low price and they were getting a bargain. After 2 days of no contact, Motorway phoned to say they pulled out. I had cancelled my advert and changed my arrangements. Not even a call. You can not trust this company

I have just purchased my new car from ollie and the guys at castle motors.From start to Finnish it was a pleasure no pressure sale was given the keys and told to take my time looking around I wasn't hassled like most places.once I decided to go ahead Ollie really pulled out all the stops to make this happen. I was really made to feel welcome by everyone at this family run dealership something I have not experienced before numerous coffees and hard graft from ollie deal was done and I had my stunning new car.
