Efficient service

Ordered online, item was ready for collection the next day as promised.
Good price, quick delivery.
We do hold a trade amount with CEF, and they normally are bang-on to be honest.
Recommended.

Update (7th Sept 2024):
Following my review, I have been contacted by my local CEF branch and I am pleased to say that this complaint has been resolved to my satisfaction. In fact I’m now feeling reassured enough that I have asked to open an account. I’ll post a further review once I’ve used CEF for a few orders.

On the 8th of July, I ordered and paid for some Boddingtons insulated sockets from the Ilkeston branch. The price was ridiculously high, but I couldn’t find them anywhere else without needing to buy a full set.

I collected some of the order on the 11th of July. Three items arrived as required with a slight hiccup - one item was ordered incorrectly by the staff member (they ordered a (3/8” drive socket instead of the 1/2” drive I asked for), they then corrected the order and I paid the balance for the tool I ordered in the first place. I understand that mistakes happen and it wasn’t much of a problem.

I have tried several times to collect the re-ordered part since then and have been fobbed off by your branch staff. Every time I try and collect it I’m told it’s not available and that the staff member will phone me with an update when they are back in work. I have never received a call or any other form of update.

I’m now over a month down the line and in desperate need of the tool I ordered. I feel like your staff are taking me for a fool. This is terrible service!

CEF is local to me. Incredibly easy purchase of a shower. Fast delivery, next day. Good communication. Choice of products at a good price too. Would definitely use again. Highly recommend this company.

We had an excellent experience with Luke at the Ilkeston branch who delivered an outstanding service. He was extremely efficient and helped us select the perfect chrome light and socket fittings for our new home. These were hand delivered at 8am the following day as we were on a tight deadline with our electrician. The invoice and payment process was seamless and Luke really did go above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Will definitely be using again!
