Trip after trip COAP produces. It’s aviation, it’s always a game of chance, but now multiple times after multiple trips I can confirm COAPs guides always put you in the best place to catch the aircraft you’re chasing. Not only that they offer excellent insight and mentorship on camera settings, positioning, and other key elements of helping you get the photos you sought to get. On top of that and outside the aviation side the trips are well planned and always an unforgettable experience. Small groups, great hotels, and great restaurants has led to several new lifelong friendships. It’s a trip yes but it’s also a networking experience and a chance to meet others who are as passionate as you are. I’ve gone with other aviation tour groups and they’re fine, but you don’t get the people factor on those I’ve found like I have on COAP trips. If you’re serious about getting the best aviation photos you can and learning while doing so COAP is the place to be.

There’s a reason why COAP are the best, they live and breathe Aviation.

Just returned from my 10th COAP trip, this time to Greece for the Iniochos Spotters day and low levels.

Had such a blast with a great group of people. Everything is organised with getting that shot in mind. Expert guidance is available all the time to help with settings etc. If something isn’t working, they’ll try to find a way to make it work.

Hotels were comfortable and convenient for all our locations in Greece, plus we had great breakfasts!

These guys really are the experts. Cannot wait for my next trip.

As aviation photographers we spend many hours, days, weeks etc in the field (or on a mountain in my case) waiting to get "that shot"
Getting that shot is only half the fun right. Editing our images really makes that hard work in the field well worth it.
Lightroom and Photoshop were a complete mind boggle to me where i would randomly bash sliders until i got something which i believed was decent.
All that instantly changed when i enrolled in to COAP's editing masterclass. The journey has been extremely educational, relaxed and fun. Which has transformed my editing and allowed me to gain the fundamental knowledge to these complex programs.

The online platform COAP has is one of a kind where like minded Aviation Photographers from all around the world can get together, bounce ideas off one another, ask and provide feedback on images, share your wins or just have a jolly good chin wag to name a few.

I'll save the best until last.
COAP Photoshoots are nothing short of the "best of the best" Professional doesn't do the team justice.
The teams knowledge and experience in these kind of events puts them in the industry number 1 spot.

Professional group of aviation enthusiasts that organised everything, yet left us up to our own devices each day without pressuring us to do things a certain way.

Went on a COAP trip to Turkey with my son. These guys really are THE experts on niche aviation tours. They have great connections with the authorities responsible for these vents to improve your experience. They really go the extra mile to look after you during your trip and have all the back up you need from an ABTA travel agency. Despite what you may think it was very good value for money

I Wanted to do a trip abroad and COAP were the best people to for the job and they did everything they said they were going to do for you. everything went well and I had the time of my life and would go with them again.

As the title suggests, if you’re going to make the trip - do it right and go with COAP.

I have now done 2 trips with them and I haven’t found any faults as of yet. As a result I will be doing more trips in the future.

I did a dozen trips with COAP over the years since 2015. They were all great! Rich and Steve make sure we get the best experience. Sometimes we get to participate in unplanned activities that are so unique! Trying to photograph military airplanes from up close is not easy but the reward is fantastic pictures. One way or another, there is always the memories of the dinners and evenings together as a small group of enthusiasts. My latest trip was for Ramstein Flag exercise in Greece. Another winner!

COAP is a compelling option for an aviation enthusiast mainly because you can see the passion and experience Rich and Steve have for aviation in the effort and organisation that goes into every trip.

Having recently traveled to Greece for the 2nd Ramstein Flag spotters day, the trip was so much more than just flight to Athens and a coach ride to a base. We visited the low level flying routes to photograph Greek and foreign exercise participants tearing through the canyons and also visited the excellent Hellenic Air Force museum. This was interspersed with nights in some splendid Greek hotels and lovely social evenings with the group.

Having now been on 6 trips in 4 countries as well as several photoshoots in the UK, I can attest that Rich and Steve (and anyone else working in the background!) put a lot of effort in to organising every event and strive to make sure people have the best experience even in the face of changing weather, non-committal air crews/museums and an expensive post Covid world. It's great to see a company run by people who really know and enjoy the experiences they are offering.
As the title says, 100% recommended and this won't be my last trip for sure!

A chance to photograph military aviation in Europe with fellow enthusiasts. The COAP team are professionals in their field and provided lots of opportunities to get our fix. There wasn't a wasted hour, with the guys driving to several different locations. All the accommodation was provided and after a day of photography, we gathered for dinner and a chat about all things aviation & photography. Thank you for a great trip.

Just returned from a COAP tour to Greece combining a visit to an organised event and some freestyle opportunities. From start to finish, a thoroughly well organised tour.

Prior to the tour starting, a WhatsApp group became the centre point for instructions and once underway, the all-important collation of memories from the trip. After each full day of photography, there was the return to a good quality hotel followed by the group “debrief” in recommended bars and restaurants.

At all times, it was underscored by the knowledge and obvious enthusiasm of the tour leaders, who maximise the photographic element of the trip either by experience or via their contacts.

If aviation photography with good company is your thing, then COAP should be your first point of call.

An aviation tour of Alaska had long been on my aviation photographic bucket list for years and at long last it came true September 2024 with COAP - and it exceeded my expectations in every way! Despite the inclement weather - it rained a lot - our tour leader, highly experienced and expert photographer Steve Comber made the whole adventure fun and ensured the whole group had their aviation needs met! This included float plane air-2-air photography; landing and departures of endless Jumbos, propliner boneyard and museum visits, flight to a remote outpost in the Arctic Circle landing on a gravel runway, visits to the operational pans of the local air cargo companies with their aged propliner fleets DC3s, DC6s and C46s, nightime shoots... the list is endless, not to mention an appearance of the Northern Lights. Then there was the amazing flora and fauna of Alaska itself including some very funny face to face meetings with the local moose population! If you have never been on a COAP adventure, now is the time to start before many of these aviation photographic treats disappear into history. For me, these 10 days of aviation photographic heaven in Alaska will live long in the memory.

Fantastically organised, everything went super-smooth (again!) and the company was just amazing. Highly recommend it and can't wait for the next adventure with them.

It was my first trip with COAP.
Communication is key for me and Rich Cooper gets this just right! All the way through the process and trip I was never in doubt about what stage we were at or what was happening.
Having been on the trip with Rich I have seen he is a very popular and well known Aviation Enthusiast with loads of people wanting to say hello and have a chat!
The social side of the trip was just as important to the company as the aviation and I met a fabulous (and not too big) group of like minded individuals!

I've wanted to make this trip for many years, but work, time, money, or a combination of all three prevented me from doing so. For 2024, I decided I was going to go no matter what. The trip exceeded my expectations. From copious jumbos at ANC to derelict Douglas' out in the Alaskan wilderness, the aviation side of the trip was outstanding. What was just as memorable were the up close encounters with moose, and seeing the Northern Lights.

Best of all was the quintet of new friends. From the cold dampness of the Desert Air ramp to the long drives between Anchorage and Fairbanks, our time was filled with laughter and good times. Steven deserves great praise for his persistence in making the A2A with Goose and the C-119 engine runs happen. He ran into obstacles that would have defeated others, but he pressed forward and got things done.

This was my first COAP trip, but it will not be my last.

This was my first Alaskan adventure! Our itinerary had to be very flexible. Everyday there were new shooting conditions and subjects. The learning was continuous and I feel as though my skills have improved. New friends, great conversations and laughter. Looking forward to my next COAP experience!!

I like to travel abroad and photograph military aircraft. This time I chose to participate in COAP for the first time to visit a country that is unfamiliar to me - Bulgaria. However, the whole trip was full of surprises. Although the ending was not perfect (this has nothing to do with COAP), Rich is very caring and strives to make many people have good memories, which is worthy of praise. If you ask me if I will participate in COAP travel again, I will say yes~

Rich drove to Plovdiv and with his contacts we had access to the open day - up close and personnel with the aircraft on the field, Migs, L39s , F16, PC 21,Grippens and Choppers Galore , until it was curtailed by circumstances beyond our control. Having visited one excellent Museum we adjusted the Plan and a 2nd quality museum was visited. Natalie guided us around Plovdivs old town and had a culinary feast organised for us each evening in a different resturant. Great company , good food , help and advice as and when you needed it, thanks guys. Go On ,Travel , you know you want to.
