I have only praise for Chiltern Railways staff. Recovering from a serious ankle injury, I initially contacted Camilla at Assistance, and she calmly and quickly booked the help I needed. At Marylebone,... Ver más
On the 604 from London Marylebone this morning and have lots of work to do. Plug sockets not working and WiFi non existent. Terrible service as always!) from Chiltern Railways.
I hate this company! They should not be able to operate this line, years and years of absolutely horrific service and increase prices! When will Greg Smith actually sort this issue out?

Train ride from Bicester Village to London
On 25 Nov I was taking the train at 5:04pm from Bicester Village to London Marylebone. The train had a faulty signal and everybody was asked to leave the train immediately. The staff then asked everybody to rush to the opposite platform immediately and advised that the next train at 5:30pm will arrive in that platform. Many were shoppers from Bicester Village so it was chaotic. The passengers finally settled on the opposite platform, but then the train at 5:30pm arrived at the original platform again, and people had to run towards the original platform to catch that train. The staff had no clue before giving instructions and the experience was incredibly unpleasant.

Used to be fantastic -now one of the worst. Late, old and short formed trains. Delays cancellations and endless excuses and yet the prices still keep going up. Avoid like the plague if you can. You will be standing for all of your journey no matter the time of day.
Train was late again
Train was late, overcrowded, and dirty.
I have lived on this Line for decades
I have lived on this Line for decades. I recall a time when Chiltern were #1. I use the service to London less frequently, indeed, since covid times, hardly at all. (My partner commutes daily). I was appalled on a recent journey at the state of the seats, cleanliness and overall carriage state. Nothing has changed, a steady decline in comfort and hygiene was evident. This rolling stock is an embarrassment. I am sure that ticket prices will rise in Jan, where..does the money go?
A bad year for reliability, a poor year for Arriva. Shameful.

Packed trains and highly Irregular service. Not nearly enough carriages at peak times.

I’m a disabled person with MS and I’m flabbergasted at the continual lack of rolling stock on services between Birmingham Moor Street and London Marylebone. All carriages are habitually overcrowded with many passengers left standing. Thankfully a lovely young lady gave up her seat, because she saw my walking stick but I’d otherwise be lucky to get a seat on any given Sunday!
Oh and Chiltern, lovely chicken advert BTW! Pack them in as hard as you can, why don’t you?
Only 4 carriage train on the main…
Only 4 carriage train on the main Birmingham to London train. Had to stand the whole way from Warwick parkway to London marylebone. We were crammed in like sardines. An absolute disgrace. This used to be such a good line. Now it's a disgrace.
Three Cheers For The Banbury Office Staff
When my train got cancelled and I had to rearrange my journey from Banbury to London last week, I was not expecting such a helpful and targeted reply from one of the Banbury administration staff. It is so unusual these days not to receive an automated / generic reply - so I was very pleasantly surprised (and grateful) to find that this was not the case. Toni Mee gave me excellent advice and arranged for a refund that went very smoothly. Credit where credit is due to the Banbury office staff.
Absolutely unreliable service
Absolutely unreliable service. Train is running late yet again and overcrowded. Me along with 40 other passengers in this compartment have to make the journey back to Aylesbury Vale Parkway standing. Consistently let down by this train operator, and yet one of the most expensive.
the staff of chiltern railways should…
the staff of chiltern railways have a poor attitude. lettiing down the public. self interest and dont care
Aylesbury to london trains this afternoon cancelled as staff sick. 2 hour wait. rest of staff very rude and disinterested.
Deteriorating service
Chiltern Railways used to be a reliable and comfortable carrier from London out to the Chilterns. In recent times it seems the trains on the Aylesbury via Amersham line barely exist, and when they do they suffer from overcrowding due to a lack of carriage provision. On top of that, the regular two day strikes are used as an excuse to cancel the trains for the whole week. I’m glad to no longer be a season ticket holder.
Unreliable and expensive…
15th September once again trains cancelled from London Marylebone to Aylesbury. No driver 😩. Absolutely useless over priced service. Once upon a time they were reliable, now it seems they are not fit for purpose. Employee some more drivers...... There are plenty of people willing to do the job.
Aylesbury station coustumer services.
On Sunday I bought a ticket for London Marylebone. Unfortunately all the train has been canceled and I try to get the claim over the branch but was already left. So I went on Monday to get the claim for my ticket and the lady from there she was so bored to solve my ticket and she advice me to do it online. My question is why they still keep the branch open when they don't help you for anything?
Could someone explain the situation?
Dreadful journey from Banbury to Marylebone
Standing on the platform at Banbury waiting for the 10:40 and I heard that there was JUST 4 carriages. The train was jammed and I along several other passengers had to stand all the way to Marylebone. Talking to a lady standing beside me she said that the last 10 journeys had all been the same. It was a dreadful journey, hot, uncomfortable and the more people that used the toilet the more it stank each time the toilet door was opened. We could not escape the smell as there was no where else to stand. Chiltern Railways management should be ashamed of themselves.
Once again a "technical issue"…
Once again a "technical issue" this time the information displays have gone belly up. Chiltern are consistently overcrowded and regularly late or cancelled. But don't expect an explanation or even notification. Short trains at rush hour and long trains during the day. Ask a question of the many staff standing around and expect a facetious response. I've just paid over 5 grand for a season ticket (no other option unfortunately) for a sub-par, unreliable service provided by, frankly, uninterested people. And yet they are striking for pay. Hmmm. Summary... Lucky for Chiltern, there is no competition.
I lost my key yesterday on the train
I lost my key yesterday on the train, and luckily I spoke to Billia. In gerrards cross. Station. He’s on security and his fantastic called up Chilton railways in Marylebone and found my key within five minutes. He was so efficient, polite and always has a smile on his face. I’ll give him 10 out of 10 for helping me. Richard
Train absolutely stank
Train absolutely stank
Filthy dirty
Chewing gum on seats
Food
Boxes and packets all over tables, seats and floor
Chiltern can't tell an email from a password.
As a result of previous complaint about not being able to correct my EMAIL ADDRESS on my CR Account, within a very short time I had a rather patronizing response with a 'Press Here' link.
Pity, it was to change my PASSWORD!
Presumably, from the same team who are now running what used to be the best passenger railway operation on the Network. But, least THEY are reading our comments.
Consistently Overcrowded
The service from Banbury is terrible. The last four trains I’ve taken have been standing room only, all squished like sardines, for the entire hour-long trip to London. The trains are not clean, the Wifi never works. The timetable is completely unreliable due to either technical failures or industrial action. Now the station toilets are out of order too. I just submitted a claim because my train yesterday was 21 minutes late (as well as having no seats) and it’s been automatically rejected because “no record of a delay was found”. Well I can tell you, there was a 21 minute delay and I know very well, because I was late to a meeting and watching the clock the whole way!!
Shittt service
Every weekend i have to pay a cab (18 pounds) because at 7 am there is no one train able ? Unbelievable, is literally a shitttt service
