20 years living in Spain has been amazing, so amazing I have turned my experiences living and working here into a career helping others to do so! Every month I help expats who have taken the decision to chase the dreams and don’t want Spanish administration of the language barrier to get in the way! 2001 I arrived in Spain, I was 21, paid in Pesetas, the new millennium buzz was still with us all and the economy was booming, landing a job in a hotel in PR and entertainment was the icing on the cake! Young and enthusiastic I got stuck into to learning the language and with that came an understanding of how things ‘are done ‘in Spain. Fast forward 5 years, Fluent in Spanish and on top of my game managing the department I worked in! I had met my future wife and life was good. But, and here’s the but, it was time to look for other opportunities. There is a time line for working in the industry I was in and its best to leave when you are at your peak and not when it’s too late. I still look back on every day with great fondness. That opportunity came quickly! Whilst on a road trip in Andalucia I got asked to help someone buy a house when they heard me speaking Spanish in a bar, that lead to another job, then another and a 30-day road trip turned into a 4-month working holiday. By 2007 we had bought a house, relocated and I was helping the local Expats with every aspect of getting themselves set up in Spain………we’ve never looked back. A founder member of LifeStyle Group (est 2010) based in the heart of the Costa del Sol managing I have worked for years as a client service manager assisting hundred of clients acheive their dream of living in Spain. Now as a consultant and specialist I provide information and services to a vast network of companies and individuals, specialising in Spanish redtape. In particular registering vehicles in Spain and residency applicaitons. But business isn’t everything, life in Spain, Life in Malaga , Andalucia and Spain is amazing. I've given everything a go from running ultra-marathons to cooking Paella for 350 people . I like to get out and about with the family and explore and share both my expriences at work and play in my blog. Ver más
