Blood, pubic hair and bug on bed - Charged twice for one night
Booked a room for one single night via Booking.com. Because of an error Message saying the booking failed, I tried booking one more time. Later got an e-mail saying the booking was not confirmed. Tried booking a third time in a hurry due to few room left, the third booking attempt was succesful and verified. Then I see I was charged twice for the same room the same night and immediately contacted Booking.com to inform about the error. The booking was for a long time in advance, and there were only a few rooms available at the time, so I expected this to be a easy matter so solve. But no. Every reply I got was the same annoying auto reply, even though I replied in the same thread. I then tried contacting the hotel directly, but both Booking.com and the hotel refused to cancel one of the two identical bookings. I sent a considerable amount of e-mails, but gave up in the end, seing they only sent me auto-reply after auto-reply.
When we entered the hotel, the room was filthy. There were two huge blood stains on the mattress that were extremely visible through the paper thin and low quality sheet. There was even a pubic hair on the PILLOW. The temperature was not possible to control and the air was thick, so it was gruesome to sleep in the room.
I'm really short, but banged my head several times on the low ceilings and shelves. There was no bathroom, toilet or shower in the room, and the one Mirror was distorted like the ones you see on a halloween Haunted house so you could not do Your makeup, pee or brush Your teeth in the room and the nearest toilet and shower was far, far away in a labrinth of hallways. All in all a horrible experience, do stear away!
