I ordered leather flip flops from Claire Mode for £35. They were advertised as a sale item , their original price being £70. They arrived after about 10 days in plastic wrapping wound together badly with some cellotape. The plastic wrapping inside was labelled ‘Dengweisi’ made in China.

I tried them on and they were too small. My normal size is 39 (size 6), although Claire Mode think 39 is a size 6.5, and size 40 is a 7.5, which is not my understanding. Advertised as ‘leather’ I can confirm that there was no leather at all, and they were man-made from the upper to the sole. (The label on the sole of the shoe shows this to be a fact). I know I cannot wear plastic footwear as I get blisters when I do.

Therefore, I immediately decided to return them, as their website says ‘easy returns’.
First you have to contact Claire Mode and say what is wrong with the purchase, which I did. I then received a string of emails asking me the same question over and over again, to the point when I felt like being very rude, but retained my patience and kept going.

Every time a new email arrived it asked my whether I wanted to keep the flip-flops and have a 15% reduction on my next purchase. Having been mis-sold this item in the first place, I resolved never again would I buy from this company. Each time I replied to their emails, stating clearly that I wanted to return them for a full refund (which I was assured was possible) I received another email, about keeping the shoes. As time went on they offered me 15% refund back to my account. I reiterated many times that I wanted to return the item and having read on the package that the return address was “Equick, 1 Eldon Way, Biggleswade, SG18 8NH”, asked Claire Mode if I should return them there. I was never given the satisfaction of receiving a reply to this question. I actually looked up this address and tried to phone them. I left a message as this was the only option, and this was never replied to either. I’m not sure they actually exist.

After about another week of daily emails, I was then offered 20% refund back into my account. By this time, the whole process was becoming an challenge, quite stressful, but I was determined to see it through. After all they cost £35, and I had by then bought some excellent real leather flip-flops from John Lewis. So I informed ‘Claire’ at Claire Mode that I would accept the 20% refund and would send the flip-flops to the charity shop. I received another email email saying that the 20% refund would be actioned immediately.

Guess what. After one week there was no refund, so another email from me asking why. Then I was told they would inform their ‘Finance department’ and to date, I have still not received this refund. About a month has gone by.

I am prepared to accept that I will never be refunded a meagre amount of 20% of £35, but I feel the need to give this company a completely stinking review in the hope that other buyers are not deceived as I was. I will never buy online from an unknown company again.

Site à éviter. Aucune politique de retour malgré l'indication "Retour facile" car il faut renvoyer les articles en Chine ce qui équivaut à leurs prix. Vêtements bas de gamme, de mauvaise qualité et qui ne correspondent pas aux photos sur le site.

Ho comprato un abito che sembrava bellisssimo, beh mi è arrivato dopo ben oltre un mese (quindi neanche più in tempo per utilizzarlo) e molto diverso dalle foto. Ho chiesto il reso, mi hanno all’inizio chiesto di mandare foto e dopo innumerevoli mail (trascorso un altro mese) mi dicono che non fanno resi se non pagando le spese che sono quanto il vestito!! Poi mi dicono che sennò posso scegliere un altro vestito in sostituzione pagando 17 euro di spedizione, così mi dovrei tenere due vestiti che non sarebbero come mi aspetto pagando pure altri soldi. Ma andate dove meritate e spero che qualcuno vi chiuderà l’attività

Sul loro sito dichiarano chiaramente:

«Chez Claire Mode, votre satisfaction est notre priorité. Si, pour quelque raison que ce soit, vous n'êtes pas entièrement satisfait de votre commande, vous disposez de 30 jours calendaires à compter de la date de réception pour effectuer un retour ou demander un échange — sans tracas.
Cette politique s'applique aux commandes livrées en France, au Danemark, au Royaume-Uni, en Italie et en Suisse.»

Tuttavia, nella pratica non sono in grado di fornire una procedura per effettuare il reso.

Se non sono in grado di gestire i resi per gli ordini consegnati in Italia, non dovrebbero pubblicizzare sul loro sito una politica che dichiara espressamente il contrario.

Tante mail carine che l'ordine arriverà .....

Habit très cheap avec du tissu bas de gamme. Délai de livraison long. Retour semé d’embûche. Je déconseille fortement, les photos c’est du fake

Do not buy anything from this company. I ordered a handbag. It arrived from China after weeks (too late for the occasion I needed it for). The handbag is not as it seems. I emailed the company asking for a refund, and received replies in French. Their replies on the website were not translating into English. I finally had a reply in English after several requests. Returning a handbag to China will be very expensive. I wouldn’t have minded returning the handbag to a UK address.

Esperienza molto negativa!!! NON ACQUISTATE SU QUESTO SITO!!!

Ho acquistato due abiti sul sito Claire Mode, ma la mia esperienza è stata decisamente deludente.

Le taglie ricevute non corrispondono a quelle ordinate e la qualità dei tessuti è molto inferiore a quella che mi aspettavo vedendo le immagini e la descrizione presenti sul sito.

Inoltre, nonostante sul sito vengano indicate modalità e tempi per effettuare il reso, ho già contattato il servizio clienti per richiedere la restituzione degli articoli e il rimborso completo, ma non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta.

Un ulteriore elemento che mi ha lasciata perplessa è che, nonostante il sito presenti una società con sede nei Paesi Bassi, il mio ordine è stato spedito dalla Cina, cosa che non mi aspettavo al momento dell'acquisto.

Al momento sono quindi ancora in attesa di poter effettuare il reso e ricevere il rimborso.

La qualità del vestito non è granché ma me lo aspettavo visti i prezzi. I tempi di spedizione sono stati ok (ho ordinato a cavallo di ferragosto quindi sono andati leggermente lunghi ma ne ero consapevole). Nota più dolente: i colori mostrati nelle foto non corrispondono alla realtà. Ho comprato un vestito che nelle foto sembra marrone cioccolato scuro ed invece è molto più chiaro del previsto. (Anche una mia amica ha riscontrato lo stesso problema)

I ordered a straw hat which is all bent out of shape and sent in a bag far too small!

I asked for a total refund as it’s not fit for purpose and I can’t use it but I have to spend £20 sending back to China before they will refund me the price of the hat at a cost to me!

Now my husband also bought the same crappy squashed hat thinking I’d like it so we now have 2!!!!

Sito poco affidabile, reso costoso e materiale pessimo. Sconsigliatissimo

Het pakket kwam veel te laat aan, pas na 6 weken. Daardoor kon ik de jurk niet aan doen op de trouw, met al gevolg: winter dus de jurk een jaar in mijn kast. Deze zomer deed ik de jurk één keer aan, na 1x wassen vertoonde de jurk slijtage: de rok ziet er nietmeer uit en is langs de rechter kant volledig uitgetafeld. Jammer, maar het is Chinese brol.

Attention à l’arnaque
Ce site prône des valeur de made in France (bleu blanc rouge sur leur site) mais les articles viennent exclusivement de Chine et impossible de faire un retour à moins 50€ autant ne pas renvoyer l’article … bref je ne recommande pas

Come si fa a lasciare aperto senza minimo controllò un sito del genere ,diretto dai truffatori della prima categoria ! Materiale prescritto e completamente diverso dal quello che rimandano (100% poliester) neanche li puoi toccare per non pensare e metterlo! L’indirizzo del sito completamente altro di quello che devi fare il reso ( Che è Cina) ! Gente senza onore

J’ai commandé une paire de sandales, 109 euros. Arrivées trois semaines après dans un paquet en plastique mal fermé. Sandales déformées, immettables. Je demande la procédure de remboursement, après 10 messages je fini par comprendre qu’il faut les renvoyer dans un entrepôt en chine, à mes frais bien sûr. Sans aucune garantie de remboursement. J’ai perdue 109 euros

Esperienza assolutamente negativa, il prodotto doveva essere in lino invece è arrivato dopo 1 mese in poliestere e di scarsissima qualità probabilmente dalla Cina. Praticamente inutilizzabile. Tentata la restituzione ma è un ulteriore presa in giro

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I ordered what was supposed to be a silver sequin vest top for a concert, after ordering the usual cheap ones from SHEIN, I found one on here for £34, so I thought “this must be much better quality” how wrong was I, it was like a glittery dish cloth, they pretend to be “French” they are not, everything comes from China !! I can’t stress how bad this item was !!
