Bought a 2k Lucca A53 that was…

Bought a 2k Lucca A53 espresso maker in less than a year it stopped working. In avg expensive espresso makers go 5 years with no issues. I had a Quick Mill & it lasted my 11 years no problem. Then I get a defective product that lasted less than 9m after purchase. The service fr the beginning was awful, indifferent, rude, and retaliatory. just the worst kind of business to deal with. They don’t care about customers or their products. Just mean ppl. It was a major issue the entire heating element had to be replaced. Which is a big deal it’s like the engine of the machine. Imagine buying a car and this happened less than a year fir. new investment These people were just mean , I went to amex to try to get my money back and this shop had the nerve to be mad at me for trying to complain about them since didn’t want to bothered. How are you going to be mad at a consumer because you sold them junk and expect them not to complain? bc I used the rights I was afforded and they want me to be quiet. I have never had such an experience. I was lied to and cheated. Don’t buy from here they should be shut down for selling defective products and duping the public.

Excellent customer service that goes…

Excellent customer service that goes above and beyond. Every time I have had an issue they have made sure that its solved. They are clearly all passionate about their job and it shows in how they communicate with customers. They even have courses to teach you about espresso. They made an exception for me when I purchased a grinder long after a machine, they were willing to give me the dial in service for free even though they usually only do that if you buy machine and grinder simultaneously. I try to buy everything I can from them to support them.

Excellent Customer Service and great buying experience

Clive's customer service has been beyond reproach! We were looking to purchase an E61 group head, double boiler espresso machine and had psuedo decided on the Lelite Bianca V3. Then the question became who do we purchase from? We felt there were two choices Either Clive or Whole Latte Love. This brings me to Clive's level of customer service. I do not leave Voice Mail and unfortunately I had received Clive's voicemail upon calling. So I hung up the phone... At that point I was just getting ready to call Whole Latte Love when my phone rang and to my surprise it was Hannah from Clive apologizing for missing my call. At this point Hannah spoke to me for the better part of half hour about what we were looking for in a machine - We expressed our desires for features, durability, and serviceability. Without trying to steer us one way or another she gave us the pros and cons of the Lelite Bianca V3 and the ECM Synchonika with Flow Control. She was fair in her assessments and even stated that she personally owns the Lelite Bianca V2. At the end of the day she said the difference is like buying a Hyundai vs a Honda - You get all of the same features just one has better build quality. She provided quotes for both with absolutely zero sales pressure. Ultimately we chose the Synchronika. We also ended up purchasing a Eureka Silenzio espresso grinder not realizing the difference between a true espresso grinder and the Baratza we use for our daily grind. Ultimately we found that the Silenzio grinder didn't really fit our daily flow as we normally weigh out our beans prior to each grind and never keep beans in the hopper. Then we discovered the single dose Eureka Mignon Oro, designed for precisely this purpose. Clive was an absolute pleasure to work with and made the swap both quick and completely painless. We absolutely love both our Synchronika and our Oro; It is truly the perfect combination for us.(Everyone needs a 4'ish second per dose, 65mm diamond flat burr grinder in their life!) In every instance Clive has been amazing at returning calls (whether or not you leave a message), They have no problem spending quality time answering all the questions you have and even some you didn't realize you had. I love this company's corporate culture of customer service and I hope they never change. So many more organizations could take a page from their book. I have nothing bad to say about Whole Latte Love - Mark's Youtube channel is very informative - But the reality is, Clive was so on the ball, that Whole Latte Love never had a chance. Thank you Hannah and Team - y'all are the best

Customer Service

I'm giving 1 star because of the poor way they handled the situation regarding shipping my items. They sent me a partial order, and now it's taking basically a month to receive the remaining items due to glitches in their system, out-of-stock products (which were not shown on the website at the time of purchase) and changing warehouse locations. All of this would have been understandable if they had explained everything upfront and not given me different stories every time I reached out.

Watch out for online orders!

Package never arrived, and Clive refused to send a replacement order or provide a refund because Fedex says the package was delivered. However, the proof of delivery doesn't have my address or a picture of the delivery, and my Ring camera shows no deliveries that day. Very disappointed because I always had an amazing experience at their physical store in Portland, and I wanted to keep supporting them (vs ordering the same items at Amazon). I even emailed Clive's CEO, who said he wanted to make things right for me but ended up ghosting me.

Amazing Customer Service

I ordered the Lelit Bianca V3 from Clive and it came with a damaged water tank and some cosmetic damage due to the poor packaging from Lelit. I reached out to customer support and was in contact with Nathan who took care of everything and made me feel at ease. They offered a partial refund for the cosmetic damage and replaced the water tank for free. One other issue came about where the four hole steam wand tip wouldn't screw into the steam wand. Despite all the issues we faced, Nathan kindly walked me through some troubleshooting and we both realized that the steam wand tip was faulty. They sent over a new one for free. It seems Lelit has a few kinks to resolve, but I am forever a Clive customer now after seeing how amazing their customer service is. Simply amazing!

Defective water treatment system.

They sold me defective parts for a water filter system that flooded my kitchen and wouldn’t reimburse me the 20 bucks I had to spend at my local hardware store to repair the problem. I do not recommend buying from them due to their lack of standing behind the customer. They did offer me free coffee and another valve like the one that came apart.

I decided not to purchase from here due…

I decided not to purchase again due to my interactions through the chat - on several occasions throughout my buying process. I saw a filter that was picture as 2, and when I purchased it I received 1. Also, on amazon 2 are sold. At first he stated they didn't change it, but did confirm after I bought it they changed the misleading photo after I bought. I never said they intentionally did this but there were two pictured not one and one amazon the filters are sold as paired. When I looked up the picture again it had changed and was simply asking why and it took a few times to get a direct answer. My review is really for the overly defensive comments that were unnecessary when I was simply looking to confirm if I saw that correctly. A customer should feel comfortable to do this. Imagine if I bought a machine. Try this; "Hey sorry we realized how the photo could be misleading so we changed it!" No, he responded with childish words like "nope" not answering directly.
Thanks for helping me narrow down where I will be taking care of my machine even if I have to pay more.

Clive Coffee - AMAZING customer service!

Clive Coffee has great customer service. They went out of their way to help me, and to make sure my experience was positive, even when events spiraled out of control, they stepped in to make sure that I received the best experience possible when I ordered my espresso machine.

I highly recommend them over WLL. When I contacted WLL, their customer service reps were not helpful, and didn't always have the correct information. Clive Coffee on the other hand, was always courteous, and helpful; also when they didn't know the answer, they quickly researched the topic with other departments in their company, and got back to me very quickly. WLL and SCG both have a lot of videos online, but the customer service of Clive Coffee has shown to be much better for me - one of the benefits of a smaller partner to work with.

If possible, I'd purchase from Clive Coffee again and I recommend them for anyone looking for a nice coffee machine.
