Hidden terms 5 year contract
I would not recommend Connecting Britain to any small business. They tied me into a five-year contract when I believed it was only for one year. After being passed to another provider, Connecting Britain has taken over £200 in unauthorized direct debits and refuse to refund it. Communication is non-existent they ignore emails and I can’t get through by phone. The new provider won’t help resolve this. Save yourself the stress and the money go elsewhere.
Do not use
We have been with connecting Britain for a number of years. Poor communication is the norm. We had an account manager previously who shared his personal mobile because you couldn't get through to support. He left them and ever since you can't get through when you need them. In the last month they have had two major outages, the most recent had already led to 1.5days of total phone and internet outage for the business, unable to take card payments and staff unable to work on PCs. Have been on hold for hours, no answer. Tried emails, contact forms on website and even looked up their business address to contact building owner but no answer.
Double payments taken - Bank stepping in.
At some point the powers that be have got to step in and regulate the communications industry properly which has become littered with fraudulent cowboys like this, Our account was sold/reassigned to a new company to become effective in May. In the 5 months running up to this date Connecting Britain took two direct debits per month and one in May when we had already been billed by the new company. We managed to get a response from them whereby they stated a billing cycle error on their system which would be corrected and the overpayments refunded.....it wasn't and they weren't. To try and get hold of this company is as close to impossible as you can get with 15 unanswered emails and 5 hours on hold. Good news is they have violated the Direct Debit mandate and the indemnity rules now apply which means the bank give us our money back and they pursue Connecting Britain which will be an entirely different proposition for them.
A contract they won't honour and complaints they won't answer
Worse company to deal with. We signed with Connecting Britain based on a clear written contract stating our monthly lease cost as £0.00. Without our knowledge or proper disclosure, they arranged third-party finance through Halo Corporate Finance and Grenke Leasing, leaving us with an unauthorised 36-month financial commitment at £84/month that directly contradicts our signed agreement.
We raised this with their accounts team and account manager repeatedly from May 2025. We sent a formal written complaint in February 2026. To date — over four months later — we have not received a single acknowledgement.
When we escalated to the Communications Ombudsman, Connecting Britain's own response confirmed they were the introducer for the finance arrangement. Grenke confirmed in writing that Connecting Britain initiated the finance application and received payment for the equipment. Yet they continue to ignore us.
We have now filed a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman Service.
If you are considering signing with Connecting Britain, read every document carefully — including any third-party finance paperwork presented alongside your main contract. And make sure what you're signing matches what you were promised.

Our business signed up with connecting Britain last October, at first they were great but recently had a problem with phones, called them was on hold for an hour and half and this happened more than once but no one answered the call. Sent various emails to different departments but no answer, luckily we managed to sort the problem ourselves but potentially we wouldn’t have any phones for 10 days. Eventually I called the people who supply the equipment to find out what was going on, they were looking into it and today we get a call to say that the account had been taken over by another company and we had signed to say they could use a third party to hand the account to and all for 5 years. We were never made aware of this and all sounds very dodgy to me. Avoid connecting Britain at all costs.

Have been trying to contact this company for 9 days after our Business phones went down…. Constant emails with no reply. Only been with them a few months …. Big mistake!! If you have a business avoid this company
Worst company I have ever dealt with
Worst company I have ever dealt with. £186.00 3 months in a row for setting up router. Even though I spent 4 hours on phone with a man re programming it as sent router for another company. In business for 25 years and never dealt with such aggressive and greedy company. Keep saying they will raise a ticket. So today I am taking legal action to get my money back. Avoid at all cost they are cowboys.

Still the worst company I’ve dealt with. Do not trust. They agree everything verbally then shaft you on the contract. READ WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING!!! Never reply to complaints as I imagine there’s too many.

I would not recommend this company at all.
The agreement was not properly explained to me when I signed up. Key details about the costs and how the contract works were either unclear or not communicated upfront, which has left me feeling misled.
I was also expecting a broadband service as part of the package, but this was never actually provided – only a phone system. This was not made clear at the time of sale.
Now I’m locked into a long-term agreement and paying far more than I feel the service is worth. Overall, the whole setup feels poorly explained and very disappointing.
This is unfortunately just another experience of feeling ripped off by a telecom company.
I would strongly advise others to read everything very carefully and question exactly what they are signing up for before agreeing to anything.Be AWARE TWO AGGREMENTS FOR ONE SYSTEM The Kennet agreement

Connecting britian is the best provider.
Connecting britian has been fantastic from the start. They quoted a better price to combine all of our phone and broadband services into one. After accepting, they made the switch a breeze and did all the paperwork for us. they sent a engineer out who installed the broadband and phones and did not leave site until they worked. the after service is maybe the best i've ever known. If there is phone issues, i can email them and within minuets ive got a call or email back from a support op and the issues is resolved without me lifting a finger. all round great company to deal with!

Fantastic company , cant fault their customer service, honesty and support .
Leaving the major uk telecommunications company was hard but definitely worth it - cant recommend Connecting Briton enough . Would strongly recommend any business to consider them as a much better alternative
If I could leave one star I would
If I could leave one star I would. Contract promised on good terms and good price so initial happy but since overcharged us for 6 months by adding on two extra items to our invoice never agreed to. Finally got promise of refunds beginning Feb but still nothing. Still continue to charge us extra every month as well. Can never speak to account team or a manager. Just avoid all calls and constantly emails but nothing . Promise of phone calls but nothing. Their telephone opening promises First impression matter !!! Obviously don't. We are a small business and can't afford overcharge and it is illegal. I bet if we cancelled our DD soon get a chase up though from them. Avoid. AVOID at all costs. Just like all telephone companies in end. Shame as had good initial set up.
What a robbing company
What a robbing company. Lies lies and more lies. Do not use this company. They automatically sign you up for things you have not asked for and then when you cancel it they keep taking the additional money and promise you they have refunded and it will show on the next invoice. Next invoice is again for the full amount. The company is a gand of sharks. Do not go near them.
