Similar story here, fence panels have arrived after 5 weeks and no answer to emails. However the fence panels are really nice so happy in the long run.

I did receive my fence panels (no delivery note or anything though) and they are as I requested and seem fine. However, I didn’t hear anything for 5 weeks after I placed my order (despite emailing). It was only once I rang and left a message and emailed to say that I would be seeking help from my bank and that if I did not hear from them, I would take them to the small claims court, that I received my goods (within 48h!). I’m not sure what’s going on with this company but be prepared if you order from them. Also, the phone number link on the website doesn’t work - have to type in the number manually. I would suggest to CG that they need to be better at keeping in touch with their customers!

Haven’t received fence panels ordered on 27th February 114 days ago. Have tried to contact them by phone and email on many occasions. No reply by phone. No reply by email except a blanket email to all customers saying their transport company were holding their fence panels hostage! They said they changed premises also and are “working round the clock to fulfill orders”. I had ordered panels from them before and the came in reasonable time and were OK. However, today I gave up and am trying to claim money back from bank. Why I used my bank card instead of a credit card I don’t know, that was stupid in retrospect. I suppose I thought I had some protection through Shopify 🤣… this is not the case, they don’t protect customers at all.
I also found out today that banks only consider debit card refunds if goods are not received between 30 and 120 days from date of order so I’m lucky I’m at 114 days …whew 😅

So I posted a month ago that my order had not been delivered and advised against ordering from them. They had explained that they had made a mistake with a delivery company and were trying to get the orders back from them while they chose another delivery company. I have today received my order delivered promptly and as promised by a delivery company called Arrow so it is only fair to reverse my post from a month ago. The product is very good quality and was very well packaged and I am very happy with it - I am a genuine customer not someone related to them so please give them a chance to bed this new delivery company in.

The after sale is generally terrible, however up until the point of the sale they are conveniently responsive. I cancelled an order, which they did so via the courier but the refund is still not received several weeks and chasers later.

Credit where credits due’ the first part of the order did arrive and the fence looks great - albeit many weeks after purchasing, with some warped cappping left in the rain for too long. However, due to the outright ignorance and refusal to refund, they will receive 2 stars until the situation is rectified.

Waiting over2 months for fence panels which were promised in 1. A range of excuses have been offered but I'm not sure I believe any of them. DO NOT ORDER I THINK THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF GOING BUST.

As many others have stated - AVOID this company at all costs. After order, received either pathetic excuses (dog ate my homework/a bigger boy did it and ran away type thing) or simply nothing - order never fulfilled, refund via bank as paid on a cc. Check out the company, its previous iterations and the individuals involved on Companies House to see what sort or people are 'running' CG.

I'm appalled this company is still allowed to trade. No attempt to fulfil the order, excuses range from his courier stealing the goods to his staff being totally incompetent.

Thankfully, my bank is attempting to get my money back.

Please do yourself a favour and don't hand this business any of your hard earned cash.

This company are struggling to clear backlogs of orders , principally due to inept and or fraudulent actions by their ex- couriers.
My original order of 10 fence panels arrived as stated time wise, however major non delivery issues with the posts and post supports which failed to arrive on the first 4 delivery attempts despite us waiting in.
Fence looks fabulous now treated and installed, so much so that I’ve purchased a further 2 panels.
I negotiated a free delivery (online prompting a £25 small order delivery charge). The offer of following day delivery was accepted and now expected .
Legal action may be taken by CG against their previous couriers and I genuinely feel they are trying hard to correct the previous issues

Avoid at all costs. I ordered panels on the 13 April and still haven't arrived. Requested a refund on the 17 May and have not heard from the supplier, so I have now requested a refund via PayPal.
Terrible experience!

I was a returning customer with a successful order completed in 2023 without trouble but something appears to have collapsed at this vendor. I wish I had checked again the Trustpilot reviews ahead of time before placing a repeat order.

Their website is live, taking orders (and your money) but no way to contact them nor any replies to correspondence.

Had no choice but request a refund via my credit card company as no idea whether they have any intention to fulfil the order.

A highly disrespectful way of dealing with their customers. They shouldn't take new orders until they sort themselves out.

Very misleading company: website states orders are completed & dispatches within 7-10 days ordered fence panels a month ago: payment is taken no product nor any replies to emails or phone calls. Terrible business management and non existent customer service

I ordered a product from this company on 30 March 2024. It is now nearly the end of May and they still have not delivered it, nor have they responded to the numerous requests I have emailed them enquiring about it. Since ordering (which offered delivery within a week), I have had a plethora of excuses, I have tried phoning the company in excess of 15 times and left messages, to which there has been no response. I have sent numerous emails, again, with no response. I have had to cancel the payment via a dispute on my credit card provider as contemporary gardens have not responded to my refund request. My belief is the company is a scam, or, the customer service is atrocious. I would steer well clear of this website and I’ll never be using them again!

I received my fence panels this week! I ordered in mid-April 2024 and there was a massive delay due to courier issues, a frantic long rambling email was sent out which was more concerning than reassuring, I then emailed after a couple more weeks and heard nothing the fence panels were delivered a week later. I have ordered from this company before and were great and I now have my order so i'm happy. Communication could have better and the slow delivery was not ideal.

Ordered 8 slatted fence panels 30th April; money taken out on 1st May. Then received rambling email saying that on 18th April the courier company had suddenly stopped serving them and were holding their goods ‘with menaces’. There had been nothing on the website on 30th April advising possible delays so I happily ordered, believing the slick feedback and links to Houzz etc. Most unlike me, but lesson learned as I usually do check with Trust Pilot. Tried to ring many times but no reply, so left voicemail saying I had received the email and asking him to contact me. No response. Next thing, there’s a new voicemail on his number, waffling on about his problems but stating he isn’t answering telephone calls, voicemails or emails. Outrageous. Emailed him on 7th May, saying I was sorry to hear of his problems but that he couldn’t simply ignore customers and that his problem had now become MY problem too, cancelling fencing contractor etc. Next I went onto Gov website and there is a bit of history there which doesn’t inspire confidence. Today I researched companies in the same postcode and rang one 2 units away from Contemporary Fencing/Gardens. They confirmed that CG had, as mentioned briefly in their email letter, moved a couple of months or so ago but they didn’t know to where. There is no trace of a new address so I have contacted my bank and hope to get my money back on 1st June, the earliest that the system will allow me.

There is still, today, no warning on the website of any delays or a new location address, but clearly he has updated the site as there are offers which weren’t on there when I ordered my panels.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE, EVEN IF IT’S ONE HE IS ADVERTISING AS YOU WON’T RECEIVE IT!

Order never turned up - received an email to say they had been manipulated by their delivery company but my order was weeks before this.

No response since fraudulent company don’t not use

Placed an order for two slatted fence panels on 14th April 2024. Order acknowleged but since then heard nothing. No reply to my emails, website advises you can select a delivery but you can't - this is a fiction. Emailed twice. no reply. Message on voicemail talks about delivery problems. Either it is a fraudulent outfit or completely incompetent. Why are they still taking orders if they can't fulfil the current ones?

As with all the other recent reviews I have also been duped. Fancy website but deliver nothing. Only wish I’d looked on trustpilot before I ordered. Really gutted. No reply to emails or a reply saying there is an issue with their courier and they never answer the phone just rings to a gif gaf answer machine. Not expecting much now so seeking assistance from the bank. Fingers crossed

So an update 04 July 24
Trying to get a charge back through my bank which contemporary gardens are disputing. Saying that they delivered on the 20 April. Although I have emails from them saying it was not delivered (from after that date😳) due to issues with their courier and also emails saying they would send a refund but guess what🤔 no refund and no reply to emails. It is like an old fashioned jackanory story🤔

Truly awful company and complete fraudsters after your money.

This company is either a front for fraud, fake or just inept. Probably all of that. They take your money and then don’t deliver. The courier has told me they went there and were told there is nothing to collect. I have requested a fraud investigation as they have taken my money, failed to communicate or deliver and don’t ever answer the phone (gift gaff voicemail redirected from a landline) or emails.

I’ve had the misfortune of trying to deal with this company regarding two orders over the past three months, it's just exhausting and frustrating. They will NEVER EVER respond to any emails or answer any phone calls.

Their website has a UK landline number but calls only ever go through to a mobile phone voicemail service, usually Gif-Gaf. I selected a nominated delivery day when I placed the first order of 7 fence panels and took the day off work to accept delivery, but nothing arrived, so I lost a days annual leave for absolutely nothing. Over a week later when they did eventually arrive they were damaged and of generally very poor quality (see photos attached to my Google review). They have never ever responded to a single email regarding the quality of the panels over the past two months.

Unfortunately I had miscalculated the number of panels required for the job so in the meantime I had had to place a second order for one additional panel. Two months later, countless emails and 50+ phone calls, I have still yet to receive the additional fence panel. Not one single email has EVER been responded to regarding the missing panel or the state of the received panels, and only once ever in two months has anybody ever answered the phone. A guy called Marcus(?) gave a pile of BS excuses on why it hasn’t been delivered, yet they are still taking new orders all the time on their website even although they cannot even fulfil orders place by customers over two months ago!! The guy promised it would be delivered within the next two weeks. Three weeks later, still no fence panel, no responses to emails, and all calls going straight through to voicemail.

I have spent nearly £700 with this sorry excuse of a company and have 7 poor quality fence panels which are totally useless without the missing 8th panel. I don’t know if they are actually still in business, but any company with this kind of customer service doesn’t deserve to be in business! I would rate them ZERO STARS if that was an option. Time to initiate a charge back procedure though my credit car company for all the entire spend.
