Hi,

We’re really sorry about the delay with your order and we completely understand your frustration. The order should have arrived within the timeframe given, and we take responsibility for the fact that it didn’t reach you before you left the UK.

We’re especially sorry that you ordered these as a present for your Dad and, after the delay, they were then no longer there when you went to collect them from your neighbour.

Hi Martin,

We’re disappointed to see this review and the suggestion that we are difficult to contact, particularly given the extensive history of communication we have had with you and the steps we have taken to resolve your concerns.

For transparency, we have reviewed the history of your orders and emails with us:

On 17/03/26, you contacted us because a Facebook discount code had expired. We provided you with an alternative discount code so you could still receive the saving.
On 01/04/26, you contacted us regarding a damaged jar. Although the damage shown in the photograph appeared to be a slight dent which would not have affected the product or its freshness, we sent you a replacement jar regardless.
On 12/05/26, you contacted us regarding another discount code issue, which you were subsequently able to use.
On 20/05/26, you contacted us because you had transferred a 120g bag of scratchings into a 220g jar and were unhappy that it did not fill the jar. When we explained that a 120g bag would not fill a 220g jar, you then said you had not ordered the 120g product. We provided you with your order confirmation showing that this was the product you had selected. You subsequently left us a 2-star review regarding this.
On 26/05/26, you contacted us regarding a 10% discount code which was specifically for first-time customers. Despite this, we manually applied the discount for you as a gesture of goodwill.
On 16/06/26, you contacted us again regarding a discount code. We checked the code and confirmed that it could only be used once and that it had already been used.
On 17/08/26, you contacted us because you were 99.9% sure you had selected Original flavour, while your order confirmation showed BBQ. You then sent several further emails about the same issue. As we have previously explained, sending multiple emails moves the conversation back to the top of our queue and can unfortunately delay our response. By the time we reached your emails, the order had already been dispatched with the flavour selected on the order. Despite this, we arranged for the Original flavour to be sent to you as a replacement.
On 13/09/26, you placed another order and then contacted us several times the following day regarding where your order was. On this occasion, our CEO personally spoke with you directly to address your concerns.

This is just a summary of the issues raised across your orders. You have placed 10 orders with us and we have received over 20 emails from you relating to complaints, queries and requests for assistance.

We have repeatedly gone beyond what was necessary to resolve these issues, including providing replacement products and manually applying discounts where the terms of the offers did not allow them.

We therefore do not feel that it is fair to suggest that we are a company that cannot be contacted or that we have failed to respond to your concerns. We have consistently made efforts to assist you, including direct contact from our CEO.

Following a review of the overall history of your orders and communications with us, we have now decided that we will no longer be accepting future orders from you. You will receive a separate email from us explaining this decision.

We appreciate that you may not agree with our decision, but we believe it is necessary given the repeated issues and the level of support that has been required across your orders.

Shipping protection is completely optional when placing an order and is not something customers have to purchase. It is offered as an additional option to cover your parcel in the event that it is lost or damaged while in transit.

We also did respond to your email on 16/09/26, however, our reply was unfortunately unable to reach you as the email address provided bounced back.

We would also like to clarify that you previously left a review with the same concerns in 2024, but have since placed three further orders with us. We’re therefore disappointed to see the same claims repeated when your most recent order has been delivered successfully.
