Amazing arena let down by little things
I love this arena as it is easy to find your way round and plenty of toilets and friendly and helpful staff. However I went to see Olly Murs last night and whilst the show was amazing there was large speakers which blocked our view in parts of the show. Our tickets were not sold as a restricted view so that was disappointing. My main issue was that there were numerous people vaping throughout the concert and my sister is asthmatic so this was not pleasant for her or any non smokers.
Whenever I visit the co-op store outstanding employee Tanya
Whenever I visit the co-op store, Middle Parkway Leigh Park
It is always spotlessly clean and Tanya is always so helpful and lovely, polite and a asset to your company

£30 for backstage pass with a free drink and it was half a pint 😂 everything far too expensive and I won't be seeing any more gigs here properly put me off.
Attended last night to see Chase &…
Attended last night to see Chase & Status. Queue to get in moved very quickly and security were thorough but very organised. Within the event everything seemed very organised, loads of space available and plenty of bars/shops for drinks so the queues weren’t excessive. Drinks were priced as expected for this type of venue. Toilets were kept lovely and clean and didn’t have to queue for them at all during the night which is usually the case with women’s. Staff were all lovely, friendly and extremely helpful. I lost my phone at some point during the night and a member of staff found it and handed it into lost property. I was able to get this back without issues the following day, again all staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Hopeless car parking
The car parking booking site is appalling. I have paid £25 for parking for Bruce Springsteen and the site not only gave me the wrong date, but also failed to ask for my registration number. Trying to contact them is like trying to split the atom - the number given on their site is for the general Coop and they have no clue what I’m talking about, and the email address sends an auto response saying my change of registration number will be dealt with!! I will be avoiding this venue like the plague in future. Beset with problems doesn’t get anywhere near.
Where do you start with this shambles…
Where do you start with this shambles of a venue!!
Attended for the Andrea Boccelli concert which was top class, sadly the venue was not thousands of people queuing to be funnelled through a double door with unbadged airport style security “which didn’t work properly “ squashed into a seat that incidentally wouldn’t be out of place in a nursery . Seats had been given to someone else initially!! Apart from 3 beer pumps half time concessions were closed toilets filthy and on the way out once again funnelled.out of said double door back into a 4mile snake queue capably organised by the tram squad who seem more intent on you tapping your card than keeping you alive😀 finally got to Piccadilly around 12 . Concert was brill but seriously question going here again.
The app isn't working
The app isn't working. I could originally see my tickets. Since the COOPLIVE app sign in became linked to my ticketmaster account, I cannot access my tickets. Today I can log in but then just get a white screen. I would NEVER risk this again
I don’t know who designed this venue…
I don’t know who designed this venue but they must of thought it was going to be just full of children with the width of the seats it’s impossible not to either get brushed against constantly by the shoulders or arms of the person sitting next to you. we enjoyed the Andrea bocelli concert at the Co-op Live arena but would never go back there. you might wait for hours to get a tram back and forget getting a taxi as there were hundreds of people waiting and we only saw 2 taxis pull up. we ended up walking back to Piccadilly gardens was told by one of the attendants it was a 25 minute walk, it’s not it’s a brisk 35 minutes and dimly lit at parts. sadly not a patch on the AO arena. unless they solve these issues this arena won’t be in business long. nearly every reveiw is bad and we have experienced it first hand. an absolute joke.
Filming in a mobile phone throughout a concert …
We went to see Andre Bocelli on Friday 25th April. The show was amazing but this was ruined for us by one woman in tbe row in front who filmed on her mobile throughout the concert. We were in block 109 row 17. If you want to look at your phone for 2 hours don’t go to a concert. It is selfish &inconsiderate. My evening was ruined by this individual.
Disorganised
After a long walk to the venue we then queued for an hour. It was chaotic, lines of people everywhere. We discussed leaving the event well before the end to beat the inevitable chaos. It was stressful & we hadn't even got inside yet. After considering how much worse it could get we decided we really didn't wish to endure anymore & actually walked away. It cost us £242 to stand in a queue.
My partner is a medic who was concerned for the significant amount of people queuing with mobility issues & only one ambulance in sight. I wish I could say different & I want it to succeed. You need an experienced Manager to come in & get it functioning on a much more competent level & will encourage people to return. As it stands I wouldn't return even if it was free.
Queues 25.4.25 to see Andrea Borcelli
We went 25.4.25 to see Andrea Borcelli. This place is way too big and therefore has subsequent problems . The queue to get in was ridiculous. We waited in a long line for 20 minutes. We missed Andrea coming on to the stage and were made wait outside the auditorium till the show had started. There is not enough toilets through out the venue . This was a very expensive concert platinum tickets . They should have a different queue for people purchasing these expensive tickets. Can’t comment on the food as we never had any. We had a 50 minute wait again in a lengthy queue to get back into the City on a tram. Definitely won’t be back such a shambles .
We are giving five stars as Andrea Bocelli was amazing …
We are giving five stars as Andrea Bocelli was amazing. A wonderful concert with some added performers who were a real bonus. We were very pleased to have seen him perform.
Although high up we had a good view, better than we thought. We could see where some wouldn’t have such a good view though. With regards to queuing to get into the venue, this was difficult and clearly needs looking at. However, the stewards were incredibly kind to my husband who was clearly struggling and ushered us in through VIP entrance. Again, inside stewards were friendly and helpful. I can’t comment on prices of food and drink as we didn’t purchase any. But I would have expected prices to be on the high side like any venue. The free non alcoholic gin and tonic was great though! I don’t think anyone should have food in their seats while the concert is on. It’s disrespectful to the performers and annoying for other concert goers. Driving from the venue, we did expect it to be busy but we were lucky to get out fairly quickly. Again, needs more organisation. Taxi pick up points need looking at too as these were causing traffic build up.
So although some thoughts on the venue, overall a good experience. But of course, we were there to see Andrea Bocelli and for that we have absolutely no concerns, he was just perfect.
Thank you to the Co Op Arena
Thank you to the Co Op Arena. After being stuck in traffic for ages, myself and my disabled mum were escorted through the building to our seats. We weren’t ’staying longer at the bar’ as suggested by some reviews!!! Stewards were reminding people to put away their phones too. The sound quality and production were superb. A very emotional and memorable evening. Thank you and the staff very much indeed.
It took 40 minutes from Andrea Bocelli…
It took 40 minutes from Andrea Bocelli coming on the stage before people were eventually seated...people were being allowed in with their drinks in hand so clearly were " late leaving the bar" which majorly disrupted the beginning of the show...stewards walked past the throngs of mobile phones stuck in the air by inconsiderate people...despite the announcement of no recording allowed. I complained at " fan assistance" at the interval to basically be told " people have paid for their ticket so we can't refuse them entry" absolute circus down on the floor with people seated in wrong seats being moved mid show...that and people stuffing their faces with pizza...just disgraceful, inconsiderate and rude. Co op arena off my list in future...AB was amazing..i settled into the second half..but couldn't go through that again... it seems the co op prioritises profit over customer experience....very disappointed co op and will take my business elsewhere!!
Not Impressed
Just got back from Andrea Bocelli event.
The event was superb and the sound was good.
However for a new(ish) venue, and this being my first visit, I was very surprised and disappointed by some aspects.
We were sat in block 304 row 10 and our view of the video screens at the back of the stage was severely obstructed by what I think were the speakers hanging down from the roof. Which genius thought this was a good idea?
Secondly the access stairs are a trip hazard at the end of row 10, with several people tripping and 1 lady actually falling. I am amazed that this arrangement received Building Regulations Approval, but then again perhaps I shouldn’t be.
I wasn’t surprised at how expensive the food is, as once inside you are a captive audience, but to charge £8.80 for a small can of water and a small portion of luke warm fries is a total rip off.
The ticketmaster website
The ticketmaster website, and reminder emails, state the Andrea Bocelli concert starts at 6:30. I had to stand outside in a long line for 40 mins then on entering the coop live was told the start time was 8pm, not 630pm. No seating outside the concert hall. Please can you provide these outside the hall doors. My hip and knee found it very hard. Thank you.
1 star is generous
1 star is generous
2 pints of beer, 2 shots of vodka = £36
My head nearly fell off
Also VIP seats don't get you anything, pointless, save your money.
Incompetent staff
Went here to see PlayStation Live. At the interval one of our group went out for a smoke, he reached the door and the staff watched him head outside. He finished his smoke and turned around to re-enter the building and was told he couldn't as once he was out they can't let him back inside without buying another ticket.
Bear in mind, the venue was barely full. There were more empty seats than full. He has approximately 10 feet out the door, nobody said to him once he leaves he cannot re-enter. Security staff said it's in the terms and conditions when buying the tickets but the tickets were a gift so we didn't know this.
On checking their terms and conditions, we saw in section 7 it's on the discretion of the door staff so they could have let him back inside, it was just a jobs worth on the door.
Drinks prices were a joke too. £5 for a Pepsi is too much. Overall, very poor experience here and likely won't return to this venue.
Andre Rieu
Took my wife to an Andre Rieu concert at the Coop Live arena.
The evening was marred by a group of 5 people squeezing past into the next 5 seats to us, about 10 - 15 minutes after the start of the concert, each carrying a container of chips and, what ? faggots. They continued to eat during much of the first half of the concert whilst holding mobile phones aloft to video the musicians. This unpleasant sight was accompanied by the strong smell of vinegar and chips. The group were also late back after the interval. This inconsiderate behaviour seemed to be happening in other seating areas. Why do the organisers allow food to be taken into the seating areas and also not prevent entry after the start of the concert ?
What would be a great venue has been…
What would be a great venue has been ruined by the seating absolutely no leg room and if trying to get past people in seats is damn right dangerous as not enough space to pass even with people stood and pushing into their seats this needs serious attention I will be asking this question to Manchester council
Also stewards had not got a clue after leaving this venue sending people to wrong places
Prices for food and drinks extortionate £9 for a pint £3.30 for a small can of water and take out a second mortgage for food
Also be careful if you want a cab trying to charge £25 -£40 for a three mile journey this was private hire taxis that should not be picking up people without a confirmed booking dangerous in so many ways
