Just wanted to leave a quick review to say thank you to Rosie Morrissey. She was excellent today in helping us set up our VOA account for our business rates review. She made sure everything was filled out accurately, saving us a lot of time. Very quick, professional, and reassuring.

I was initially a bit skeptical about whether we were actually owed any money back on our business rates, but CCS made the entire process incredibly straightforward. Their team took over everything from start to finish. All we had to do was provide a few initial pieces of information, and they handled the rest with the local authority. The communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates so we were never left wondering what was happening. Highly recommend their services if you want a hassle-free audit.

Bunch of crooks who are very convincing at first, do all the surveying take the fee, then do nothing and years later tell you that there is no prospect of any reduction. Don't touch them with a barge pole> Sole director has a history of being involved with other companies being wound up/dissolved

Navigating business rates was seamless with this team. The caseworker explained technical legislation clearly, stayed in touch constantly, and offered upfront fees with no surprises. We had a fantastic experience. Our caseworker was highly knowledgeable about rating legislation and kept us informed throughout. They were approachable, easy to talk to, and completely transparent about fees. Thanks to the surveyor’s meticulous attention to detail and a thorough, well-evidenced submission, we successfully secured a corrected valuation for our business.

The team was a great help with sorting out the claim and all the paper work that was reqd , would recomend them .

I'm undecided whether this is an incompetent, a dishonest or a fraudulent service.

Please review other trustpilot reviews carefully; most (if not all) 5* reviews appear to be at the early stages of their process (registration only), when they are quick to secure payments.

Summary of our experience:

The initial 'free' desktop and on-site survey advised that: "We are confident that there is a strong and well-supported case for challenging the valuation issued by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA)." We were also told that "a rebate of any overpayment since 1st April 2023 will be made and the rateable value set until 31st March 2029 securing you up to 6 years’ worth of savings! "

After parting with £1,595+VAT to engage them to be our agent and apply for the reassessment, it then came down to me to keep chasing for updates.

Finally, 8 months later, they advise:
"upon reviewing the evidence, we do not feel that making a challenge submission on your behalf is in your best interests, as we do not feel the evidence we have on file is strong enough to support the desired outcome."
"I can appreciate that this will be disappointing, however, as your agent we will work in your best interests, the VOA are currently rejecting challenges with nominal or no reductions, and so we feel that making a challenge submission will not work in your favour."

This came after they attempted to charge us another £1,595+VAT for the '26 to '29 period.

Update July 2026:

Since posting the above, I have been contacted by CCS requesting a conversation:
"To explore whether a mutually acceptable commercial settlement can be reached",
"In the event that a settlement can be agreed, we would anticipate that this would include the removal of the online review and a mutual agreement that neither party will make any further adverse statements regarding the matter".

They’ve found a legal means to run a scam. Just don’t fall for it. You have to pay multiple thousands on a monthly basis from an over estimated future savings on your taxes from the councils/government. All whilst nothing happens. They drag out the process massively so you pay more.
After a few payments we then agreed (and had repeat multiple times), we would now only pay upon receiving the finalised discount they promised on our B rates. We would no longer spend out of pocket with them. They had to deliver. However they continued to invoice and threaten interest to payments “missed”. They’ve just sent an finalisation of our case and have invoiced us the full amount they have “had discounted” for our business rates. Putting us in a worse off position than we started with only a £100 per month actually saved for future business rates payments, no rebates. No money back. All in all we are out of pocket at the end of the process. Shocking customer interactions much like a Bailiff would behave and overall they’ve found a legal means to run a scam.

What a terrible company to use for this. Trouble from start to finish and everything in between.

Firstly, they examine your premises and advise what they think can be reduced. They then take months and months to put a proposal together and argue your case. After all of this they then tried to push us to settle for a reduction just 20% of the original they believed possible. The worst part of this is they just advised us to accept it. We didnt do that as we still felt we had grounds to argue and we were proved right by getting a further 60% reduction. As a result you can see they are only in this to take their cut and don't care for the real savings that can be made for the end customer.

The care throughout was appalling and they were impossible to get an answer from and didn't rush to achieve any deadlines.

The aftercare is even worse. They then try to challenge that you owe them for future rating period challenges even though we don't need a future challenge (as our rate is now correct). Bu they are trying to claim that we want them to claim a future rating period is wrong which we have never spoken to anyone about. But even worse they want to charge us more than £5,000 to do a challenge that we don't need or qualify for.

Horrendous company really really please find somebody else to help you with this matter it will save you so much pain and time and money. All of which are precious.
