Did not live up to expectations
Having stayed in many Crabtree properties (which have always been wonderful) this one fell short of the standards I excepted . House was not clean, property was definitely in need of an overhaul.

As a regular customer of Crabtree and Crabtree once again the service was excellent. The cottage was exactly as described and booking was very easy. As part of the Kailzie estate it was in a great position, warm and welcoming and when needed within easy reach of Peebles .

Great communication, accommodation exactly as advertised
Great communication. Even contacted us to check we were OK with the bath being replaced with a shower, before our visit. The Bothy was exactly as advertised, and it was such a relief to find everything as expected. Wouldn't to hesitate to book through Crabtree & Crabtree again. To be honest, I'd be nervous not to!!

Exceptional Service as Always
We had a couple of hiccups during our stay this time - nothing major but the Team at Crabtree & Crabtree swung into action and all was sorted quickly and efficiently. We've used C&C many times now and find them consistently professional, responsive and friendly. The properties they represent are always stylish, well presented and great places to stay.

Beautiful well equipped cottage with thoughtful interior decoration. Kitchen would benefit from better lighting over work surface.
One further suggestion- a dog shower out in the garden - it would help save those rugs and carpets!

Poor customer service.
On the day we were travelling to the property I received a phone call informing me that the broadband cable to the property had been accidentally cut so there wouldn’t be any wifi. This was reported to Openreach. A repair would be completed in 48 hrs. After 48 hrs there was still no repair. I phoned C&C and after checking with Openreach said that there was a problem with logging the repair request. No timeline for the repair could be given. The option of moving to an alternative property was given if the repair was not made on the following day. The repair was made the following morning. The telephone reception in Bamburgh is poor at best so without wifi communication was very difficult. I would have expected C&C to be proactive in chasing up this repair and keeping me informed. This poor customer service let C&C down.
I’m sorry but I do not recognise the details of your reply. I was told the wifi would be repaired in 2 days. It was not and I had to contact you for an update. You then told me you had had no contact with Openreach and would chase this up. This was when you gave me the option of moving if the repair was not completed the next day. Thankfully it was, but I still think 3 days without wifi is not a minor inconvenience

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused during your stay. When the Wi-Fi issue unexpectedly occurred, we notified you immediately and kept you informed of the steps being taken to resolve it.
We were in regular contact with the contractors, chasing updates throughout. When it became clear there was a delay, we quickly looked into alternative accommodation should it have been needed. We also did our best to reach you by both phone and email, understanding that you did not have Wi-Fi in the property and that the mobile signal in the area was limited. We hoped that one of those options would reach you.
We were so delighted when the Wi-Fi was restored sooner than expected and that this meant you were able to remain in the property you originally booked. We were happy to help further if needed.
Our guest's comfort is always our top priority, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
