Lovely pre Xmas break in a fabulous house in a brilliant town.Super comfortable bedrooms great showers cracking kitchen cozy fire- could not si for anything else
100% fantastic stay

This was my first booking via Crabtree & Crabtree and it was very straightforward and any questions I had were addressed promptly.

First time booking with C&C. The process was really easy and the staff are lovely, polite and courteous. Communication is excellent and you’re kept informed every step of the way. Would definitely book with them again.

We have booked accommodation through Crabtree and Crabtree several times now and have always found the process to be smooth and well organised. The website is easy to use with a good range of high quality properties in an area that we love to visit. Information is provided in a timely and efficient way and all the places that we have stayed in have been clean and maintained to a high standard. We always recommend Crabtree and Crabtree if we hear of friends wishing to visit the Northumbria area.

I find it very easy to browse and book (with lots of choice of quality accommodation). The customer service is always excellent, efficient and friendly. Staff we have talked to are knowledgeable. We find C & C trustworthy and supportive and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again.

We now have been six holidays with Crabtree and Crabtree and can’t wait for our next one in December and another in April. All the accommodations have been superb. Very good company to work with altogether.

Excellent service all the way through our booking

The description of the property was exactly as the written on the website. I was kept well informed before the holiday, with an excellent description of how to access the property, a further email explaining about building works (which didn't affect us) and both an email and a text with the key code which very sensibly didn't give the name of the property. All the emails have been very friendly and informative. I'm very pleased with the service.

Personal service and excellent communication.

We stayed at The Old Manse, Smailhome just outside Kelso to celebrate my milestone birthday. My family chose this large house because it perfectly catered for the multi-generational gathering that they planned for me for my birthday. Crabtree & Crabtree had many lovely large houses to chose from, but this one was perfect and a wonderful weekend was had by all. The house itself was simply beautiful – immaculately presented, spacious, and full of character. Nestled in extremely peaceful rural surroundings, it offered the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There was plenty of space for both quiet moments and lively group gatherings. Each room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, making everyone feel right at home. The beds were exceptionally comfortable - commented on by all that stayed! The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze, and the large grand dining room was perfect for our lovely Sunday roast dinner - a large leg of lamb from a butcher in Kelso. Crabtree & Crabtree also provided an extremely comprehensive guide for how to operate and locate all the facilities in the house which was extremely useful; they certainly take the letting of holiday properties to the next level.

Our stay at Rose Cottage, Bamburgh was absolutely wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to rest & relax in. Beautifully decorated, clean & incredibly comfortable. Perfectly located with easy access to the village centre & the most magnificent view of Bamburgh Castle. The log fire was so comforting & really added to the ambience of the cottage. The welcome basket containing bread, marmalade, tea, coffee, eggs & milk was a great surprise & very appreciated. We also enjoyed playing scrabble, amongst other games provided. We cannot fault our stay in Rose Cottage & would highly recommend staying. A true home away from home.
