We are proud to be offering a fully regulated, Nurse led ear care clinic in the South Tyneside and Sunderland area. We specialise in ear wax removal using Microsuction technology, irrigation and instrumentation. Our clinic is based in the heart of Whitburn Village and provides an environment that is relaxed and responsive to patients needs. We are passionate that ear care should be accessible to all patient groups, by also offering mobile clinics to care facilities and the house bound. Crystal Clear was founded by our experienced registered Nurse Rebecca Shields, with over 17 years of providing ear care in the community. Rebecca always strives to deliver the highest standard of care to patients and prioritises a personalised and holistic approach to ear care and wax removal. Our passion is to collaboratively work with NHS services and enhance ear care within the local community.

My second visit for earwax removal, Rebecca is professional, knowledgeable and always very friendly, she explained everything to me. Comfortable procedure too. Will definitely go back if symptoms return. Would definitely recommend.

Ear heaven
The clinic offered a calming and clean environment. The staff member was a qualified nurse. Knowledgeable about the ears and checked before the procedure. Offered different treatments depending on patients needs. The nurse was polite and friendly maintaining professionalism. The procedure of microsuction was quick and painless. Overall a positive experience and would definitely go back and recommend. Thank you.

Visited by Rebecca at Dads house on 28/1/26. Dad has dementia and his communication and understanding had taken a step down since before Christmas. A visit to his local Doctor advised Crystal Clear intervention. Rebecca was lovely, professional and had a very good awareness of Dads condition. To say I was overwhelmed by the results is an understatement. On completion of the process Dad was having a three way conversation and could hear perfectly. So so grateful.
