Disappointing experience
I had a disappointing experience with Cult Gaia. My order didn’t ship on time, and their online chat was not helpful. I emailed multiple times and didn’t hear back for several days.
After finally receiving my items, I returned some and requested an exchange. Their website states returns are processed within five business days, but even after they confirmed receipt, eight business days passed with no refund. I had to follow up several times to get it initiated.
They also ignored my exchange request and issued a refund instead. Now I can’t get a response from customer service.
For the price point, this level of service is unacceptable
Poor communication
Poor communication, to charge so much you would think your customer service would be better- do better I’m still waiting for an item have had no response. At this point. I’ll be returning and wil not purchase again

Received clothing that was damaged, probably worn and a wrinkled mess. A top and pants for over $1000 that turned out to be 100% polyester!I emailed them immediately and no one responded for over a week. I went ahead and processed the return. A week later they say they cannot accept return bc the items are damaged! Never worn and didn't even try on. And they are blaming me for condition after I emailed them!!!!!

Unacceptable at this price point. I had a similar issue once with Farfetch with a faulty item and they responded and dispatched a new pair with a discount same day.

This company makes it impossible to return an item by mail. They don’t state what they charge for returns. It’s a surprise that you have to agree to upon returning. You have no way to contact the company or talk to anyone. Product are way overpriced for what they are. Will never buy from here again. Called the NY store because in over a week, no one contacted me about my return. 14 day return policy and they used one half so far.

I walked into cult Gaia and had the most incredible experience with Fatiha. She was beyond sweet and helped me with trying on some dresses and helping me with choosing what accessories to wear. She made the experience beyond enjoyable and I loved every minute of my shopping experience. I found two beautiful dresses that she helped style me in and I’m so excited to leave with them today. My only complaint is at the store didn’t have any heat on because it was broken and I was so cold, but other than that, it was a 20 out of 10 experience
SCAM of a company
Purchased a bikini for my wife on June 22nd 2025. They firstly charged the wrong amount in store and then adjusted it after I complained. Bikini bottoms arrived different than the photos online. Went to the store to exchange the size and instead of refunding my card and charging again as their policy allows, they put the amount on a gift card without asking. Complained by email about bikini being different than online photos and they offered to take the bikini as a return if hygiene liner was in place. Sent it back and they claimed there was a stain under the hygiene liner. They sent it back to me with the hygiene liner removed and refused the return. I disputed charge with my credit card but they supposedly provided information to deny the claim. I am now left with the wrong bikini and no refund. Total scam.

I’d choose zero stars if it was an option. I ordered a Cult Gaia dress online (with two straps( they sent me a different dress (with four straps) and now won’t even reply to my emails requesting that Cult Gaia exchange what I’ve been sent for the dress I actually ordered and paid for, or to provide me with a refund. To date I have experienced terrible customer service for such an expensive ‘luxury brand’ - the worst and I would not trust this brand.

I bought an aud $1300 dress it was too big so i ordered a smaller size.. The dress is gorgeous although perhaps not quite the quality to match the price.
The customer service is absolutely appalling i have written to them 7 times over several weeks as the process for an international return is to email the company who will then manually grant a return. They will not respond with the address or an approval for an international return. They sent me just one reply citing the domestic return process which does not work internationally..
They clearly did not read the content of my email..
Now i am stuck with an extra of this expensive dress i will have to attempt to resell.. Not a seller to be trusted....

Bags with quality issues
Bags with quality issue being sent. My store discount cupom didn’t work, sent an email and never got a response. Also, they charge you for returning items that is defective. Do not recommend.
No information that international returns cost you hundreds of Euros
Europe. Did not fit and wanted to send back. On the website on the page of the item and during ordering it only stated that for international returns customer service would have to manually approve the return. It did not state that I have to send the item back DDP!!!!! As a reference that costs between 350-500€ just for returning the item. I wrote customer service, takes days to respond.
How can you in these modern times expect customers to return goods internationally for 500€???? That is half of the item cost!!!!!!!!!

Amazing clutch and craftsmanship
I just wanted to leave this review as I was very sceptical to order directly from Cult Gaia’s website as a result of reading the reviews on this page. I have been a lover of the brand for years but have only purchased from third party retailers located in the UK as that is where I am based. However I placed an order on Cult Gaia’s website for their new Florence clutch in ivory on the 17th of may it is now the 22nd and the clutch has arrived in perfect condition with no extra customs/import duty fees!. So for those worried about reviews on this page remember opinion is subjective and not all experiences will be a negative.
If you have any issue with a product or need to make an exchange, forget it.
Customer service email attempts: May 6, May 7, May 8, May 9, May 10. No reply. No response. No acknowledgment.
