Nikka... GREAT customer service!

One of my monitoring services noticed that I had a purchase at CuriosityStream that I didn't recognize. I contacted them and talked to Nikka, who was on it immediately. She was really professional and friendly and got things worked out right away. I was really pleased with the customer service; thanks, Nikka!

CuriosityStream Customer Service

My husband accidently subscribed to CuriosityStream, not knowing what the app was about while we were on vacation. When we got back and i saw this charge on our account, I immediately called and spoke with Nikka to see if she could help with the cancellation and refund for the subscription. She understood my concern and immediately took care of this for us. She was very professional, kind and did not hesitate to complete my request with a follow-up email to confirm cancellation and refund.

Interesting, quality documentaries

I LOVE CuriosityStream. For $3.99/mo I get tons of interesting and well-done documentaries - science, history, nature, and they always have new content. I'm always excited about what there is to find. Also, they have many excellent short-version shows (20 minutes) like Breakthrough. Wonderful!

Awesome support

Great streaming service and an even better customer support service.
I had a billing query and so I contacted Curiosity Stream via their online chat. The customer support person was able to sort out the billing issue immediately.

Nikki Was a Big Help!

Nikki helped me set up my account and install the Curiosity Stream app on my iPhone & allow me to easily cast programs to our living room TV. She was very pleasant and professional. I am going to recommend Curiosity Stream to friends and family. A real bargain!

CuriosityStream.com Thieves Robbed me of £100 - billed after cancelling.

I took up a trial offer with this company for one year in 2021 at £10.70. I cancelled before the twelve months was up and received marketing emails confirming that they knew I had cancelled. In one marketing email the text stated "Since you've been gone...".

When I was checking my bank account in early 2025 I found that Curiosity Stream had started billing me again. In total these thieves took over £100 from my bank account in 2022, 23 and 24. I disputed the final payment of £40 with my bank and managed to get refunded.

The company was obviously taking advantage of the lack of laws for subscriptions in the US state they are based in to rob people as there was no law to hold them to account. I emailed their customer services department and they simply stopped replying.

If you cancel a subscription on their website, make sure you cancel with your bank too as they will keep taking payments from your account. I am still going to take this up with Visa, as Curiosity Stream is in breach of the Visa Subscription Mandate for merchants.

Great service with many options and…

Great service with many options and fantastic customer service.

I didn't wish to renew my subscription but had forgotten to cancel before the auto renew date. Sent an email to their CS team who did a one time accommodation of refunding the renewal.

Will definitely return when funds are more available for such a service.

We had not been using our streaming…

We had not been using our streaming service and had forgotten about the automatic renewal. I was so encouraged to deal with an honest company that understood our mistake and cancelled our subscription a day after the renewal date. Very good customer service!

Excellent customer support

Excellent customer support from Franz on the chat feature. My subscription purchase wasn't great tho. The purchase price was never disclosed before or after I signed up for a one year subscription. Even the receipt did not list what had been transacted to my card. I had to go into my bank account. This problem and an issue about the cost of the subscription led me to customer service. I gave a 5 star review because of the excellent support I received after contacting chat support.

The content and streaming service are great and what I was hoping for. I'll keep this for a year. I could not find a way to turn off auto pay except to cancel the subscription.
