I recently had refractive eye surgery as I was very short sighted and also had cataracts. I had been wearing contact lenses since the age of 18 (over 40 years) but even with these, my eye sight was getting worse. I saw Daniel Gore who put me at my ease and explained everything regarding the procedure and aftercare. I felt no pain whatsoever during the procedure and was very well cared for. Since the operation, I can see colours so much more clearly and honestly hadn't realised there were so many different shades of green in the grass. It's as though I have a bright torch light shining above me wherever I go! I can also thread a needle without wearing glasses which I haven't been able to do for years. A big "thankyou" to Daniel and his team at Moorfields Private Care.

From start to finish this was a very professional process that I really do wish I had done years ago.
The equipment at Moorfields is out of this world, the staff put me in a very relaxed position, so to go ahead with surgery was an easy decision.
On the day everything was well explained, the procedure quick, a call from Daniel Gore himself that evening just to check everything was OK, recovery longer than I had hoped but the results are great.
Aftercare just as good and yes I would recommend.

I had an eye laser correction with Dr Gore back in June. I must admit I am the most nervous, anxious and suspicious person in everything that concerns my health, and most importantly, my eye - as the vision is impossible to revert. I read a lot about the procedure itself and a lot of reviews on Dr Gore before booking a correction.
At the fist meeting Dr Gore was very calm, attentive, knowledgeable, answering all my questions. The doctors in clinic have done a lot of various checks as well.
During the correction I was given valium, and I think ideally I should have been given triple dose of it or full anesthesia, shame there is no such option))
During the procedure Dr Gore and his team were super professional, the correction was successful
And the aftercare was great as well, I did approach Dr Gore with minor concern in addition to the meeting plan, and he's seen me to check everything and discuss
Overall I am very happy. The procedure itself is not a fun experience, but the doctor is amazing and I would definitely recommend approaching him if you need eye treatment

The entire experience at Moorfields and with Mr Gore was exceptional. Mr Gore and his team were detailed in their approach and caring towards my preferences and treatment options. Mr Gore was always available to answer any questions and replied very promptly. Mr Gore and his team at Moorfields were truly excellent in all aspects of my care and treatment. I had an excellent experience of having a refractive lens replacement operation. Staff were all very helpful and informative both on the medical and administrative side. At the hospital the medical staff were very kind and reassuring. The operation was completely painless and a very good experience. I was pleased with how my eyes recovered and looked immediately afterwards. My recovery was swift and I was back at work within days, even managing a bit of work the next day. Overall I would say I am overjoyed and astonished to now have excellent eyesight and to be without specs. Huge thanks and gratitude to Daniel Gore and his excellent team.

Daniel and his team were excellent! They were friendly, helpful and made me feel at ease. There was literally no 'sales pitch' at my consultation, just valuable information to enable me to make the right decision.
I had laser eye surgery on a Thursday in July. Slight discomfort over night, but by Friday afternoon no discomfort at all and my vision kept improving over the next few days. I now have better than 20/20 vision in both eyes.
I will highly recommend to any of my friends and family. I am so happy with the results, and the overall experience.

Very professional consultant. He made things easy to understand and had my best interests at heart. At this point it was a consultation only and I still need to have a further consultation next year to establish if I am suitable or even if I am in need of a surgery. I have waited for a few weeks prior to writing a review to ensure that I was offering a review of the full procedure. What can I say? It is the best thing I’ve ever done, and Moorfields was certainly the best choice.

Mr Gore is professional, personable, and engages with you in a way that ensures any queries or concerns are verbalised and clearly answered. Mr Gore’s team were, without exception, excellent as well. From Shaima who dealt with all the administrative matters in an efficient and pleasant manner, to the members of his team who conducted eye tests prior to the consultation with Mr Gore. They all made me feel very safe and in competent hands.

Having previously had negative experiences of opticians, contact lenses and multi-focal glasses, I was approaching this procedure as the only option to restore my vision. I was very aware of the risks involved and discussed these with the team who were very open and honest offering as much information as possible to enable me to make an informed decision. That I found very helpful.
Having decided to go for the procedure I did not feel nervous as a result and on the day of the procedure felt quite excited. The procedure itself was quick, painless and strangely enjoyable. I felt absolutely nothing during surgery, and you simply see swirling colourful lights which was quite pleasant! Post surgery recovery was straightforward and I followed the advice on after care to the letter. As a result my left eye was functioning well within a couple of days, my right eye took a bit longer. I did experience headaches to begin with but then realised that it was because I have the light high on my phone, ipad etc to aid reading. As soon as I turned it down the headaches stopped.

It is really bliss to not need glasses. And my sight is fantastic now, in all respects. I am told the improvements will continue over the next few months.

Overall I couldn’t be more pleased that I chose Mr Gore and his team. They provide expertise that is second to none and a patient experience that is caring and supportive.

I was fully informed at all stages and I felt completely safe in the hands of Daniel Gore including the decision to operate on both eyes on the same day. This was particularly important to me as at the time I had to schedule the scans, surgery and follow up appointments to coincide with some urgent travel and Mr Gore's team's flexibility over these arrangements was much appreciated. I was given a realistic picture of what improvements might be achieved and my "new" vision has easily met my expectations.

No better surgeon in the country. Dr Gore was reassuring and comforting throughout the whole process. Absolutely thrilled with the results.

After an unsuccessful cataract operation in my left eye at The McIndoe Centre in East Grinstead, correction surgery was needed. I thought it wise to seek help at Moorfields. Daniel Gore was highly recommended. I was not disappointed. He performed laser surgery to correct my vision. The care and attention given me was exemplary. I wish Mr Gore had performed my original cataract operation, I am sure the result would have been different.

This was so much better than I expected and I wish I’d done it years ago. I was hugely impressed by the pre-op consultation and astonished that the surgery itself was completely pain-free, which I hadn’t expected. My vision is so much better now that when I was wearing contact lenses. Truly top-class service.
