I had fantastic care and felt well looked after both at the initial appointment and during and after surgery on my right eye
I would definately recommend Optegra to family and friends should they require help in the future

My operations both went well and on time. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

I am very satisfied with the advice help I have received for removal of my cataracts. I was also pleased to have the injection which replaced the need for eye drops and I am delighted with first cataract removal.

I was extremely pleased with the Optegra experience. From the point of referral, to my after care and discharge from Optegra was so easy and most importantly stress free. I was told at my initial assessment that I would need surgery. I opted for the "Right To Sight" package and had my surgery nine days later. The staff cannot be faulted, from reception to surgeon, everyone played their part in delivering a first class service in enabling me to see once again.

Compared to the surgical experience about five weeks ago, I found the last process quite unpleasant.

The first eye was mildly affected and I suffered little of what was said to be possible. Recovery was remarkably quick and reassuring.

The second eye was subject to most of the possible bad side effects, including significant bruising and swelling of the eye lids and excessive watering. I was not surprised because felt during the procedure that it was much rougher and heavier.

Recovery so far indicates it will be a satisfactory outcome but is taking much longer than the first time.

From the 1st referral to both cataracts being treated, the receptionist, nurses and especially my surgeon were excellent. A kind, caring team explaining and answering my questions. The procedure was surprisingly quick and painless. The hospital (Hampshire) and equipment is modern with short waiting times. A good experience and great results. THANK YOU. Marie Talbot.

I brought my 91 year old father to Optegra West Malling for Cataract surgery. He has mobility issues and is virtually death, they were so compassionate with him, allowing him time to walk and speaking louder to him, they allowed me to go with him to the patient waiting area which helped him to feel more comfortable.
I can highly recommend them, they are knowledgeable, efficient and very caring towards their patients.
