Originally I had sent my external hard drive to Salvage Data and they gave me a pretty high quote. I have some hardware knowledge so I asked why such a high price and they could not give me an answer. When I asked what was wrong with the drive they simply replied with "firmware failure." Given the short responses, I felt the quote I was given was pretty high because they did not want to mess with it and the lack of customer service suggested that as well. I got my HD back and sent it to Alex at DataRecovery and they gave me what I felt was a fair price. I also received a detailed response of what problems the HD encountered. They quickly recovered 99% of the data and gave me a list of which files they were not able to recover. The new HD was mailed to me and everything worked as it should once I opened the files up. Hopefully I never have to do this again, but I would use DataRecovery without hesitation.

Recently had a hard drive completely crash on me. I thought all my data was lost. Contacted Data Recovery and thankfully they were able to completely restore all the data!! When my hard-drive failed, physically, I turned to DataRecovery.com. My recovery was a 100% success!

My grandmother uses her computer to store all of her genealogy information. This includes years of photos and documents that have been scanned and emailed to her. The team at Datarecovery worked with us until the job was resolved. This included over the weekend. Where most other recovery services want you to send them the data on a physical disk, causing days or weeks of delay, Datarecovery worked on our infected system remotely to remove the ransomeware and recover the data. They also handled the Bitcoin payment and interaction with the person holding us for ransom. They were on top of the process and worked to make sure we were in the loop at all times. datarecovery.com was able to recover our data when an electrical fault killed two 8TB drives. They were able to offer custom service in the form of a non-standard size return media and were clear and quick with their communication. Data recovery is expensive, but worth it if you really need the data that has been lost. I would recommend them based on the individualized service we received and the good lines of communication.

My WD external HD went belly up, we had backblaze online backup as a precaution, however we were not aware that backblaze deletes any external hard drive backups if undetected for 30 days. I am very impressed with Datarecovery. I had sent in a request for an estimate for recovery. They called very soon after the email. Unfortunately I had to leave the country and could not respond. However, they kept at it and we finally hooked up. Estimate for recovery extremely reasonable. They were able to recover every thing literally a day after my acceptance of the estimate. I am an attorney here in St. Charles, MO. My office computer hard drive suddenly crashed on the evening of 9/24.
