Lovely hotel but avoid Salia restaurant

Lovely hotel, very clean and all staff amazing apart from Salia restaurant on site. They were rude, unhelpful and despite being told I was coeliac gave me food that was not gluten free even though both my husband and I queried with them several times and then when I was in the toilet throwing up the manager found it funny.

Nice “but….”

Repeat visitor over a number of years. Very clean hotel. Food very varied. Rooms clean but air conditioning not good at all. Repeatedly requests were met with, “we only turn it on twice a day” Totally in adequate.
Disabled facilities pretty poor with access, using a mobility scooter, not good. Repairs and maintenance average. Poolside disability toilet broken for 4 days.
Reception fairly good on the whole.
Staff very good and always willing to help.
It would appear that Private Functions took preference over holiday guests when on one occasion the evening entertainment was switched to below ground with inadequate facilities for toilets, bars and most importantly fire escapes for that number of quests. Disabled quests only exit was via a lift which would not work, leaving quests stranded.
Such a shame when in previous years this hotel had been great.

Stayed here Feb 2nd to 9th 2022 as part…

Stayed here Feb 2nd to 9th 2022 as part of Arena Travel's Bridge Congress. Found the hotel rooms very noisy and had to change rooms in the middle of the night due to a guest nextdoor playing music loudly at 3am. You can hear guests moving chairs and furnishings around the rooms above/next door as they squeak on the tiled floors. I asked for a refund as I'd extended the stay for 3 days but once I got there I realised I wouldn't be able to work from the room and booked an earlier flight home. They refused to refund me the extra days. You will struggle to work from the rooms which are dark and don't have a central light source. The building aircon is audible with the balcony door open as well. Food was good but otherwise I'd say stay elsewhere. It was off season so a lot of facilities like the outdoor pool were closed.

because of lockdown and illness have not been back to this hotel since november 2019 I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, all inclusive helps.
the hotel is close to shops and the bus station, rooms are spacious but would recommend sea view.
while there there was nightly entertainment with up to 17 dancers and singers on stage. I hope that the lockdown does not effect this as want to return as soon as possible.
food was buffet style with plenty of choice and if yo stay over 5 day include a meal in there steak house and indian resturant
would recommend booking via agents or airlines as usually cheaper than direct with hotel. ALSO check out Cash back sites as well

The best hotel in Malta, unrivalled in every aspect food setting and service , don't book anywhere else or you will be disappointed , superior four star hotel should be a five star hotel ,caters for your every need and more ,well done to all the staff and team for my perfect holiday
