Delivery takes 2 weeks. Very poor.
Delivery takes way too long to be competitive. I love their stores in France but 2 weeks is a crazy leadtime. Ignore the 6 working day guideline on their website! It takes two weeks.
Poor quality
Poor quality, better to go with a proper brand from a local shop who knows what they are talking about. Delivery was promised quickly but took 9 days, had it to come from China via France?

Went over to the ballymun store yesterday to purchase a paddle board and a womens Elops Bike (over €600 purchase )
Rang ahead and was told there was 2 in stock and would take 30 mins for a check over.
got to the store and asked the guy can we purchase the bike i asked 2 very simple questions and i got a response of " i dont know " so i asked could he find someone who knows which he never did.
I was then told there was only 1 bike and it was the floor model and it would need to be checked over, but will take 1h and 30 minutes as the guy who checks the bike is on break. i completely understand staff needs breaks but he was the ONLY person who could check this bike on a busy Sunday afternoon is insane!
I asked the workshop could either lad (2 working) have a quick check over so i could leave with the bike to be told NO.
I then decided i had to leave as i had a young baby with me and went back to tell the guy i would come back tomorrow to hear 2 staff members talking about me to which i then made clear i could hear them!
then i was told it would have to be after 5pm the next day (but i was told 1h 30mins ) so i dont know why i was given a time for the next day. the bike should be ready!
i work in a very big branded bike shop myself and this is absolutely no way acceptable on our standards of customer service. safe to say i left very very annoyed.
i will be back to collect the bike and will not be returning for any product from this shop as the staff clearly do not want to help people and need some product training. (and not to talk about customers while they are standing there height of rudeness )

Shoppers Nightmare
Ordered an item 10 days ago said it’s shipped, and nothing since emailed four days ago for so information update. Not even the courtesy to reply. Very disappointed with the service would not recommend as decathlon have left me stuck.
Without the courtesy to call.
I’m out of pocket and had to buy product elsewhere in meantime.

Be careful when ordering online makes it look like you are dealing with Irish store but are not you are dealing with a European warehouse. Delivery from purchase to picking takes a few days.

I bought from decathalon.ie thinking it was an Irish company, with stock in Ireland. I didn't want to have to worry about the delays in international shipping. Once the item was shipped the email started that the company ships from Europe. I did get a tracking number, An Post only shows results when the post arrives in Ireland. My requests to find out which country my purchase was being shipped from (so I could view the tracking from that country) were ignored. Customer service didn't answer the questions I asked. It appears that they give a standard reply regardless of what you ask. I would not buy from here again.
Faulty treadmill, no money back on the transport of the faulty item
During my career I was lucky to participate in training sessions about: customer service, customer experience, customer orientation, understanding customer needs, etc.
I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but I will make an exception and I will share with my network my experience with #DecathlonIreland so that you will not have a bad experience next time when you shop at Decathlon.
I bought a treadmill from Decathlon Ireland (the last item that they had available in stock, item in a box that looked like a new product), took the big heavy item home (approx. 130kg heavy) as there was no option for home delivery provided by Decathlon.
During installation, everything was fine with the product, except for a little detail: one of the screws underneath the running band wouldn't fit in well, and would come off each time I tried running on the treadmill. There was also a bad noise when trying to run on it. So actually the treadmill was faulty and I couldn't use the product.
I looked online to find a phone number so that I can contact #Decathlon Ireland, with no luck. The only option to contact them was via an email address.
I wrote them emails and nobody answered. I received an automatic email response saying that I am going to be contacted within 24 hours, more than 5 days gone and no answer received.
Today, I had to pay a delivery company to be able to carry the faulty treadmill to Decathlon (from the South to the North part of Dublin).
Once I arrived in the shop, nobody apologised for the damaged product and they were trying to fix the treadmill in front of me, so as to make me take it home again. They didn't manage to fix the treadmill, they took it at the back of the shop asking me to sit down and wait for them.
They came back saying that they need the full intact box/packaging of the product, in case they fix the treadmill they will sale it to the next customer.
#DecathlonIreland do you sell faulty items to your customers? Do you sell repaired items to somebody new, pretending these are new products? Do you let your customers pay for the transport of faulty items?
In the end the Decathlon employees agreed to refund the amount of the treadmill. They refused to refund any transportation costs I had to incur, and which I could document.
It is all about customer experience.
Would I want to recommend decathlon in the future?! No.

Never more Decathlon
Terrible service. I'm ordered bicykel for my son 1 Months ago. I'm sending email every week where is my order. answer will be delivered end oftheweek, but still isn't. Never more Decathlon.
Birthday boy to be disappointed with no present!
Items ordered and paid for 22 days ago and still I await delivery. Last week I was told it should be delivered by the end of the week. Today I'm told it should be within the next 48 hrs or at least by the end of this week. Misleading and deceptive. Items were purchased for my son's birthday, which is tomorrow. It will be my wife and myself on the hook for disappointing him on his birthday. It would've been quicker to get something shipped from China! Shame on you Decathlon!
Terrible Service
Very annoyed that they didnt inform me where the product I ordered was coming from. They have a store in Dublin, but most of their online products are stored abroad in a warehouse. So it has taken over a week for it to arrive.I am still waiting. I should of just bought it from an Irish store, it would of been here within 3 days. I ordered a part for my bike, it was cheaper on decathlon but now I've missed the weekend biking because of this.
Update:
I recieved the sram bottom bracket... What a disgrace. It has come in a loose brown envelope. It's should be in its original packaging by sram. It is missing the various spacers required to fit it. It is missing the two rubber o-rings which fit to the inner of the tube. Can't believe the state of it. Somebody literally opened the original box, took out some pieces, and then threw whatever they sent me into a brown envelope and posted it off. So terrible.
On checking the returns process...you must print of two different documents and fill out a form, An Post will need 10 days to deliver it.... Decathlon need a further 10 days to process it, and you should have your refund within the 48hrs then. So 22 days in total. Only Ireland could make a mess of such a great store as decathlon usually is abroad.
Corporate abuse of public time
Ordered weeks ago, yet I wait. No phone number, no active email. Beyond disgrace. Why has this company a licence to abuse the civility of public who trust in honest trade.
Do not have any commerce with these people.

A wasted morning
No fitting rooms, appalling sizes, bought a pair of large walking trousers that wouldn’t fit a 34 inch waist. The shop has stuff thrown around and I can’t see quality in anything. Staff not motivated.
Decathlon online - It’s a trap
Ordered some stuff online, 7 working days seemed long but I was fine with it.
7 working days have passed last week and the package didn’t even arrive in Ireland. Not sure why you would state that shipping takes 7 working days when you are obviously not able to fulfill this.
Customer service isn’t too bad but then again they tell you stuff like “it should be with you soon” or “it’s hopefully already in Ireland and will be delivered within the next days”.
No transparency shown at all, Decathlon wants to cut costs with their shipping process, that’s why we are unable to track it upon arrival in Ireland. Probably a bunch of containers coming from France/ Germany with the cheapest and slowest transportation method possible.
Save yourself some time and call the store to ask if they got your item in stock, you are better off driving to the North for a few minutes instead of waiting for an unpredictable shipment 😑
I will wait until the end of the week or start a chargeback via my credit card. Competitive business environment will most likely sort things out itself 👍🏻
Update: My order is coming today. So after all it took them roughly 2 weeks.
