Don’t use this firm, they took my cash and didn’t deliver the item. They cannot be contacted by email or phone. I have reported them to Trading Standards

Zero customer service & delivery delays

Issues with ordering, zero customer service and delay with delivery. Bad experience. The website doesn’t work properly - the first time I attempted to place my order I could see the pending transaction in my bank account but no order confirmation. I immediately contacted them and got not reply. Two days later the transaction was reversed. I then placed another order and paid for next day delivery, but my delivery is now delayed. I won’t bother contacting them as they do not reply anyway. Would not recommend.

Hard to tell if this is a scam or just…

Hard to tell if this is a scam or just incompetence. Spent £60 on an item and paid extra for next day delivery. Two weeks later and no item, no reply to email, no reply to WhatsApp. DO NOT PURCHASE from this company, you will not receive your item.

Very happy customer.

I was redirected from sourdough.co.uk website to deliverdeli.com, as I wanted to order a particular loaf tin. It turned out that the price was really good compared to other websites, but when I looked up Trustpilot, it had a very poor rating (2.2). I contacted sourdough.co.uk to ask why the rating was so poor, as I was understandably cautious/dubious. The owner told me that deliverdeli.com is a small family business & that she personally knows one of the family members; that there have been certain issues which have now been addressed & that even though they have a way of operating that is not conventional, that they are very ethical. On the basis of that, I decided to place the order which I received within 10 days (coming from UK to Ireland). Even taking into account the duties & taxes that I was liable for, it still worked out significantly cheaper than any other website I had looked at. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience with this company.

Terrible terrible service..

Terrible terrible service... products missing on the order, no invoice, had to chase several times... no apology or acknowledgement of awful service. Still not received a refund. Avoid.

Failure to deliver

They claim

While the first two may be OK the third is definitely lacking. They have failed to exchange an item that I bought and never respond to email, telephone of whatsapp communications. I would not buy anything from them as you may never get it!

Wow. Abysmal Retailer

Wow. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I placed my order and received a packing notification but no shipping notification. After 3 days I followed up by phone and left a voicemail asking for an update. That afternoon the parcel arrived. Having had no feed back to my voicemail, this time I chose to send an email because my item arrived without the advertised UK plug. Still nothing. I have since tried to contact via WhatsApp. Still being ignored. The item is functional and I can swap the plug but I shouldn’t have to. Do not buy from DeliverDeli. Shocking service. Will not shop with again.

No delivery

My order was due within 2/3 days of placing my order. I’ve allowed for the bank holiday but it’s been well over a week now. I haven’t had any replies to my emails or phones calls.
My order has been acknowledged but that is all.

Fantastic service

I ordered some bread flour, a sourdough starter kit and some other baking gifts from DeliverDeli for Christmas.

My experience was exemplary. The items were delivered promptly, well packaged and the flour had a very long best by date of 6 months plus.

Based on my own experience, I’d recommend DeliverDeli to anyone who’s looking to order some baking equipment or ingredients.

Don't bother

I really splashed out to get products and recipes linked to the Sourdough school delivered to me in Spain. I knew it would cost extra, but that was my decision. I ordered multiple baking kits, advertised as being the complete ingredients and paid for courier delivery and insurance, as one large package. Some time later, without notification, I received something via Royal Mail from the UK, and it was some kits, but rather confusing as the boxes seemed to have been thrown together with one containing multiple salts, so I had to check all the ingredients. There was only one each of my order and not the multiples I had ordered. A significant financial difference as well as frustration and anger for me. Additionally, the small charge from Royal Mail was clearly visible on the parcel and was the courier charge I had paid. I also had to pay customs duties of course. I contacted customer service and it took at least 3 exchanges before I was understood and I was advised that the remainder would be sent out and that I would be notified of its journey. Nothing happened, until another parcel arrived out of the blue, and I had to pay customs charges again. Again via Royal Mail. The dates of the flours were very short and in checking the contents, I had been cheated again and sent an incomplete order. So, I had no recompense for the excessive courier charge that I paid DeliverDeli, and they used Royal Mail; I had to pay customs duties twice and I never received the full orders. Disgusting. I wrote to 'Ben' again with my concerns and I have waited for some sort of reply, but no, I am completely ignored. A terrible experience, with a terrible company who have no concept of customer service.

Good customer service

Stock some good products for baking (particularly sourdough) at good prices. There was an item missing from my order, but when it was brought to their attention, they dealt with the problem swiftly, generously and with a highly personal service. I'm always impressed with a company that can correct mistakes quickly.

No grain mill, and no reply

I ordered a grain mill on 14 November. The order was acknowledged and my credit card charged (£273.58) immediately. I received an email the following day telling me the colour of mill I had ordered was unavailable and asking if I would accept a different colour; I replied within the hour that I would.

It’s now three weeks later and the item still hasn’t shipped, and three emails to customer service, one to Kit Johnson, and one to Ben Johnson (the address on the receipt) asking for updates have had no response.

If there was a legitimate reason for such a long delay the company would surely have contacted me to explain. Or replied to one of my five messages, at least.

So I don’t know what to do now. Sending more email wouldn’t seem to make much sense. It’s also now too late for the special occasion for which I ordered the item in the first place. What I do know, however, is that if you’re thinking about buying something from DeliverDeli, my recommendation would be that you don’t.

I ordered a $600-plus grain mill slightly over a month ago and it hasn't arrived. I've emailed their customer service address 2 or 3 times attempting to ascertain a delivery date to no avail. While I did initially receive an email acknowledging my order, no follow-up email has arrived which means no tracking number. I'm at a loss as to what I should do next with the exception of reporting this to PayPal so that I can get a refund. No doubt I'll still be out the exchange fee, but I'll receive the lion's share of the mill's overall cost. Incredibly disappointing experience.

Please note, we stock electric grain mills suited for a UK/EU 240 voltage. The mill you have purchased requires a special transformer to work with a US power supply (110 voltage). A US supplier is likely to be able to provide you with the correct voltage version. I sent several follow up messages to check if you still want the mill in light of this information. Unfortunately, it looks like the follow up messages may have been missed.

Late delivery and not quite as expected

Ordered a cookery book which was advertised on the site “signed by the author”.
Arrived 3 weeks after the order was placed unsigned!. Shame it was purchased specifically as a gift. email and phone attempts were made to chase a delivery date to no avail, the phone call connected and then disconnected immediately, chat function on the website was inactive. Finally arrived emailed requesting a refund.
Will not be using them again as I have no confidence in their customer service.
