Their systems, support is all very nice - and out of the Phillipines. They don't know what they are doing, don't act on anything. Ever since this got sold into US hands it's been a complete disaster. There is NO support. If no refund is pending after 4 weeks trying to setup a basic email address, I will be going to the Commerce Commission.

Lost control of one of my .com domains
Lost control of one of my .com domains. I think they rely on a reseller aplus.net for their .com domains, and they'd forgotten to pay them, but the support folks are too useless to understand this, no matter how many times I told them. Took a month going back and forth with their muppet tech support folks trying to get them to recover control of the domain. Gave up hope and tried to transfer to another registrar, but the UDAI codes generated by the Web Control Panel didn't work. After many frustrating emails I eventually managed to get them to interact with the reseller and generate a UDAI and I'm off these idiots. Do yourself a favour and don't buy domains through these muppets.
Discount Domains are totally inept
Discount Domains are totally inept, their accounting system is a mess. I had a double charges that they failed to explain despite being asked several times. They have double charged gst on an invoice.
Despite the Invoice being paid they threatened to terminate services unless another Invoice of the same number with a much higher amount was paid.
Their Customer "service" cannot comprehend or answer simple questions.
I came to Discount Domains via their purchase of a small NZ business Digiweb (who were fantastic)
Discount Domains have no staff in NZ
I would not recommend Discount Domains or any of their subsidiary companies.
The service is appalling
The service is appalling. 2 Years in a row we paid the domain name invoice in advance of when it was due. Received an email with receipt of payment and a few days later our website was suspended as they said they hadn't received payment. I forward the receipt of payment twice to resolve the matter. Clearly an issue with the billing the department yet again.
Extremely poor service
Extremely poor service. I am moving all my domains away. They have false advertising and added an additional $100 to my domain. Rip-off poor service. Never again will I deal with them. We are moving 100 domains off them now.

Now just a complete joke spend hours each time I have to deal with them. So costly and stressful to sort!

Email Account suspended
Phoned day before due date to pay the invoice. They took all my payment details and almost 2 weeks later I realise they hadn't processed the payment and so my email account had been suspended. I was on hold for 50min trying to sort. Don't know how much business we lost due to their incompetence. Asked 3 times to talk to a manager but they would just put me on hold for another 10 min. So frustrating

IF I COULD PUT "ZERO" I WOULD. Honestly, full of hype, promises, apologies and the worst customer service ever. This company is fragmented into a million pieces none of which seem to be connected, from accounts to tech support, and they try to fob you off with rehearsed apologies and catch phrases like ' we are working diligently on your error'... days go by, and still no action. Don't sign up, you will regret it.

Auto renewals on domains don't work and domains get expired due to thier systems failures, supplied UDAI codes don't work. Terrible support! Migrating away ASAP if I can get codes that work. DO NOT USE.
Worst tech support of any web host I've ever used
Simply one of the worst web hosts in New Zealand - are they even in New Zealand anymore. Save yourself some grief and avoid any webhosting company linked to DiscountDomains and parent companies (Crazy Domains & Dreamscape).
Deleted my hosting without advising me
Much the same as the other reviews. Did not notify me when my web hosting expired. Tried to contact people for months. After 200 days they finally advised on the phone that because my hosting had expired by more than 30 days my website was gone and nothing could be done to revive it. I never normally write reviews online but this is just about the worst thing you could every do as a hosting provider. Unbelievable
Just no.
Just moved after they first automatically changed my name servers, then blacked out the fields where I can change it back. When I asked for help, the deleted all my advanced entries for emails etc.
Customer service had such bad english that I worry they simply didn't understand what I asked for.

The worst customer service ever. Waited over 30 mins on the phone for absolutely no help whatsoever. Moved my domain to GoDaddy.
Terrible customer service
Failed to inform me about domain expiry, website was down for 5 weeks, without it I have no business, was still under previous owner, they wouldn't let me talk to a manager Refuse point blank to consider me paying the account to get MY website working. There a joke

Useless, email needs to be renewed every month manually. They just block you without notice even though regular payment is going in. And customer service is not helpful.

I have notified relevant authorities to pursue this.
Avoid, totally useless
Have used these guys for years. But a few years back I think there was a change in management. The web portal is a nightmare, auto renew often fails, support is horrible. In the process of transfering all my domains out. Approx 50% of the Transfer codes appear to be invalid (2 of them are 'TEMPPASSWORD'

Ended up with Discountdomains by default after the previous company sold out.
Their website is 100% the worst I have used. They are also on the more expensive side as far as domain providers go. Ended up switching companies as I couldn't actually figure out how to pay them for my domain. Thanks to Google Domains for making it so easy and seamless.
