We're sorry to hear one side of the shelf arrived with a minor dent. As all of our products are quality checked before dispatch, this isn't the standard we aim to deliver. Although we're pleased it was on a hidden face and didn't affect your project, we understand it was still disappointing.

We're delighted to hear you're so pleased with your new desktop and that you felt the extra preparation was worthwhile.

Our unfinished worktops and desktops are intentionally supplied sanded to a 180-grit finish. This provides an ideal starting point, allowing customers to carry out any final polishing to their preferred grit before applying the wood oil, hardwax oil or other finish of their choice. While this does mean a little more preparation than some customers expect, it helps achieve the best possible finish tailored to individual preferences.

You're certainly right about the weight! Our solid wood standing desks are built to last, so they're not the easiest to manoeuvre, but we're pleased to hear assembly went well and that you're now enjoying your new table.

Following your feedback, I've reviewed our assembly guide and realised we could make the final step clearer. I've asked our technical team to update the instructions to include: "Finally, with assistance from another person, lift the product and stand it upright."
