Proceed with caution
We canceled an Airbnb reservation only after the property manager explicitly promised in writing (via Airbnb’s messaging system) that we would be reimbursed for any nights they were able to re-rent.
The nights were re-rented, but the company later refused to honor their written commitment and kept the money.
Despite clear, on-platform written evidence, resolving this has been extremely difficult. Airbnb has required repeated escalation and documentation, and the case remains in dispute as of this review.
This was not a misunderstanding — the promise is documented, our cancellation relied on it, and reimbursement was still refused.
If you consider booking a property managed by this company, be cautious about relying on written assurances unless they are immediately processed as an official Airbnb booking modification.
