this is chandrika dinni here, yesterday we had a worst experience from the Worst customer support.
there were no options in the app either to cancel, reschedule or change the professional, In spite of repeated requests from us to change the service person, or reschedule the service or to cancel the service not agreed by customer support people., there was no support from the team and got calls only to listen to the customer support people which is really disgusting. hence we just wanted to bring to your notice about this incident. please see that this is not repeated in future and i humbly request you to refund the advance paid to the service which we have booked for house cleaning of our apartment of 3bhk...the below are my details i am furnishing about the ID details etc...once again i request you to take necessary action and do the needful....

Insta help with UrbanClap…

Extremely disappointed with UrbanClap (Urban Company) and their new “Insta Help” service.

After every two services, they quietly increase prices — and their so-called professionals are anything but reliable. There’s no option for cash on delivery or payment after work — they take full payment in advance, and then either the professional doesn’t show up or does a terrible job.

I booked a service for 19th October at 11 AM — the professional never came. They rescheduled it for Monday, 2:30 PM (Diwali day) — the professional first confirmed she was coming, and then cancelled after 10 minutes. Their executive’s only “solution” was to reschedule again. No accountability, no real help.

This whole experience has ruined my festive preparations. UrbanClap seems to have launched this service just to frustrate customers and make quick money.

My question - why promise which you cannot fulfill prior to booking.

Also the UC app does not allow me to provide a rating to the service on UC app as rating can only be done after service is done. This implies that the entire rating process shows more than real OR it can be said that it has a bias and shows rating higher than actual

Extremely disappointed with Urban…

Extremely disappointed with Urban Company. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:45 PM, and no one showed up. And now is 9:30 PM.
The customer support is completely useless — they don’t help at all and only give excuses and empty promises.

This is unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. They clearly do not value their customers’ time or trust. I will never use this service again and strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

I booked for deep cleaning of my home on urban clap a person named MANOWAR ALI was assigned and that person denied cleaning false excuses and company cannot do any thing but to reschedule the appointment , this is very bad experience to customer , I took the leave kept many important thing behind to get this work done and this unprofessional people has no caring at all , please do t book through urban clap , you will be trapped

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the continued lack of professionalism and reliability in your services. This is not a one-off issue — this is now the 20th time I have faced the same unacceptable problem: cleaners not showing up on time, last-minute calls from your agents attempting to reschedule, and an ongoing cycle of wasted time, frustration, and sheer inconvenience.

Despite explicitly informing your team multiple times not to assign certain cleaners due to their consistent lack of interest in completing jobs, these same individuals continue to be scheduled. This is not just poor service — it’s a clear display of either negligence or a complete failure of your internal systems to honor customer preferences.

This repeated pattern of disorganized scheduling and last-minute changes reflects an alarming lack of respect for your customers' time. I have made it absolutely clear that I do not wish to be contacted at the time of the booking to be told services are being rescheduled. Yet this continues to happen, causing disruption to my day, personal plans, and work schedule.

Let me be crystal clear: I will not be using UrbanClap (now Urban Company) services again. You have lost my trust as a customer. Your failure to deliver even the most basic level of service has made this decision very easy.

★☆☆☆☆ URBAN COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM – STAY AWAY OR GET ROBBED

Urban Company is a pathetic, disgraceful excuse for a service provider. I booked an AC service on 16-05-2025 at 11:30 AM. The app showed that service would begin at 12:00 PM – fine. Then I got a call saying the technician would come at 12:30 PM – I agreed, no problem.

But here’s where the scam kicked in. At 12:54 PM, I got a call from them – I was driving and couldn’t pick up. And guess what? They immediately cancelled my booking right after that. No follow-up, no message, nothing – just a silent cancellation. Then they stole ₹200 out of the ₹668 I had prepaid.

I did NOT cancel anything – they did, on their own, without confirming or giving me any chance to respond. And then they had the audacity to penalize me for it.

This isn’t just bad service – this is organized digital theft. Urban Company is running a con game, tricking customers into paying up front, then cancelling and quietly keeping part of the money. Utterly shameless and disgusting.

DO NOT, under any circumstances, book anything from Urban Company. You’ll lose your money, your time, and your patience dealing with these lying, incompetent fraudsters. They are nothing more than scammers hiding behind a shiny app. Save yourself the trouble – go anywhere else.

We booked bathroom and ceiling fan cleaning service for our parents house on 6th Feb. Shibam Kamila had come and started cleaning one of the bathrooms when he hit his finger on an edge and cut it. His finger started bleeding so my dad went and got him some bandaids and cotton to help clean the wound. My Mom had to clean his blood which was on the bathroom floor. We had already paid for the service so we told him we will inform Urban Clap about the accident so that he doesn’t have to face any consequences. He said the company doesn’t care and he will not get paid if we inform the company. He said after a couple of weeks he will come back and complete the job. He didn’t show the courtesy to call us so we called him. He said the wound is almost healed and he’ll come in a weeks time which didn’t happen. We called him again last Sunday, he said he started work so when he’s free he’ll come and was very arrogant this time. He started blaming us that he didn’t get any work for so many days. Atlast he agreed to come on Wednesday which was yesterday. But now he’s blocked our numbers. We contacted Urban clap but because it’s more than a month now they can’t help us. We lost around 1000rs with no work done. Some people are not worth helping. You do good for people and this is how you get treated back. If such things happen please inform the company at the same time or you’ll lose your money and waste your time following up.

Unethical Company

HI Iam Himansshu Arora and got defoger rectified last year - they fitted local heater for defrosting - As every 2-3 month same problem comes, so they revisit & every time they define story and take visit charges....This time i called Whirlpool Technicians - and he defined that the heater they installed was local not recommended by makers & can blast the fridge - when i complained they denying. As I trust Urban Clap from so long but at last they are also not ethical company - they also cheated us and keep our family on stake - if any incident occurred who will be responsible. So I am Sueing this company and warm people to not trust Urban clap technicians.

Very poor experience with their…

Very poor experience with their customer support. There is no direct number where you can speak to them. I booked a service with urban clap and the booking failed but the money got debited from my account. I booked another service and paid money by cash this time. Tried speaking to their support through the agent who came for providing the service and they said that the money will be refunded. It's been 11 days and I have not received my refund of Rs1900. I am not able to reach out to anyone as their automated reply service is pretty pathetic!!!!

The most incredibly horrible experience ever.

The professionals who help and work with the clients are amazing, but the customer support department is full of incompetent and complete morons except for one guy called Mithun Kumar from the call center who assisted me all throughout.

Think twice before reaching out to UC support department

Worst company ever!
Do not recommend!
Never work with them!
They’re so unprofessional!
They sent a cleaner with no permit so it took me 3 hours to get them in the building
Left all my meetings for this
Then they said they will refund for the inconvenience, 3 weeks later to refund and the bank is telling me there is no track of refund

I keep on following up with them, they asked me for a bank statement to prove that there was no refund…

Never ever work with them!

Just life all the way! Use them but DO NOT USE URBAN COMPANY

Urban Clap overcharges and misleads customers;

Dear Team

I scheduled AC service through Urban Clap. The technician came on Aug 22, 2024, but two days later, we faced water leakage. After another service, issues with LED lights arose. Despite multiple visits, the problem persisted. Eventually, a senior technician identified a damaged compressor, quoting a costly replacement around 5000 - 6000 INR. A local technician swiftly fixed the issue for a fraction of the cost INR.250/-

Finally I Got a Call from the urban company to inform them that they have refunded the full amount paid, urging us not to give negative ratings due to the incident.

This needs to be addressed by urban Co. to prevent further fraudulent activities.

Avoid, use JustLife instead

Avoid, use JustLife instead. Used this app to try and got a horrible experience. Customer service said they’d reimburse me for 20% of the service (66.8 AED) and ended up transferring only 50 AED. In JustLife, not only the quality of the professionals is much better, but also customer service goes out of its way to compensate you when things don’t work well. I’ll spare the details of the bad experience, but I strongly recommend avoiding this company.
