I raised a grievance at work and I was suspended. I already knew the company was looking to constructively dismiss me after 6 years of service and had flipped my grievance into a disciplinary against me and I was facing dismissal.
I decided I needed a law firm and contacted DPH as they had a number of positive reviews.

I filled out a form requesting contact and I was promptly called by Stevyn Jackson.
He agreed that I had a case and agreed the best course of action was for an agreement to be made while the disciplinary was being carried out.
I was keen to know the payment options available so I could budget for a worse case. I have bills and had a looming dismissal over my head so I needed to plan my finances.
I enquired about the "no win no fee" option they advertise on the website. I had never needed a a solicitor before so wanted to know what the cost would be.
He agreed to get back to me with my options.
That was January the 3rd.
On the 6th of January I emailed him and he replied with " I agree that now is the time to try and seek an exit package before the disciplinary reaches a conclusion."
I was relived that I had a solicitor who was on my side and was in agreement with me and was feeling positive.
I emailed back and again requested my payment options and asked how we proceeded. That was January the 7th .

I was then invited to a disciplinary at work where everything went against me. It was more of a kangaroo court. No management or HR present, just a young girl from the customer department conducted the meeting and fired me. I needed legal support but had to attend the hearing without a solicitor.
My original grievance had been discounted.

Now DPH Legal did eventually get back to me.
My email from JANUARY THE 7TH WAS REPLIED TO ON MARCH THE 27TH !!!

Yes 99 days later.
There was an apology. Apparently he was very busy with his work while my work was being destroyed. He was also under pressure. I understand that as I was under immense pressure and stress myself and decided I needed legal assistance.

He also explained that there was no charge for his work so far, which was extremely generous and appreciated.
I wish I was told in January that the firm was to busy to take on my case.

From the reply I guess it was all my fault. Strange how the email in March started with an apology.

If you need a fast acting law firm , avoid !!

Billed £2893 when initial estimate £1500
Plus point was very thorough on letter to employer.
Negative points slow at sending letters for review and were sent 12 mins before a disciplinary hearing when the day before would have been better.
6 mins to read an email 6 mins to think about response and 6 mins to respond =£95.40 when for fairly standard question 1 unit of 6 mins should have been sufficient.
Had to cease instruction before it bankrupt me.

I instructed DPH Legal in relation to a settlement agreement offered by my former employer. The process was made very straightforward by Mark Lafferty who took me through the agreement on the same day it was received. This was dealt with over the phone so there was no need for an in person meeting.

There was some negotiation but this was handled quickly and professionally by Mark with minimum fuss. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mark and DPH legal to those in need of advice in relation to any employment dispute.

I do not recommend DPH Legal at all
They have made 3 serious mistakes during the settlement agreement negotiations, which they admitted later, resulting the employer recalled the agreement.
They wanted to get paid anyway, and threatened me with court order if I do not pay.
Very unprofessional behavior.
You are better with a google search and ACAS.
Advice: Check the legal ombudsman cases against the legal firm before you choose one

I am currently part way through a tribunal case with my ex employer and have been represented to date by Stevyn Jackson. Stevyn's support and advice have been fantastic, however, I have hit hard financial times as a result of my ex employers actions and whilst not ideal, have been unable to settle my bills with them in a timely manner. They have been 100% supportive and are working with me towards a payment plan, and a plan to move forward with my case - I cannot recommend them highly enough - thank you DPH
