Great customer service, fantastic couch!

Amazing couch, so happy to have found a piece of quality, buy it for life furniture that can fit in my unique space. The fabric is gorgeous, the cushions are so comfy, and I love all the designs that made it easy to find one that made me really happy. Shout out to Marissa for helping with the design stuff!

I ended up misunderstanding something about the dimensions and they were so wonderful working with me to find a solution. they ended up sending me replacement seat cushions to get the look i wanted. Thank you so so much to Clyde for helping me navigate the issue and get them manufactured and delivered.

So happy to have my new forever couch for my forever home. Thank you Dream Sofa!

Customer service is one of the best…

Customer service is one of the best that I have ever encountered. I have to say the whole team was wonderful through the entire process.
Clyde, Karla, Mico, Elbia, Arvin, Marissa, Vicky... sorry if I missed anyone. As you can see I had a lot of questions and changes along the way and each one was always pleasant and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend ordering from here. Ohhh and we all love our new sofa.

We are very happy with the sleeper sofa…

We are very happy with the sleeper sofa we ordered! I appreciated the fabric samples, and the help when I called a few times before I ordered.
One of the legs was chipped by the installers and Clyde helped to make sure a replacement was sent and that it was to our satisfaction. I would definitely looked to Dream sofa should we need another piece of furniture.

Great Customer Service and Warranty Repair!

Clyde with DreamSofa was extremely helpful while taking care of a warranty repair with our ottoman. He coordinated all the details with setting up the repair in a kind and timely manner, along with excellent communication. We are back to enjoying all that our DreamSofa has to offer!

We triple checked measurements and…

We triple checked measurements and softness of our sectional. It is extremely hard and very small. The only thing we like about it is the color. Pics and real life are very different. If you are over 5’6 order the biggest they have! We ordered a size down and my feet are almost hanging over the lounger part of sectionals. I’m 5ft and my husband is 6’3. It’s barbie/kid size for sure. All our tall friends make fun of it! Online is NOT the way to go. And so expensive…Eeks.

A Good Product Attached to a Rollercoaster Ride

Pros: The couch is very nice. We were warned from other reviews to expect it to start a little firm and need some breaking in, but we found it comfortable from the start. We haven't had it long enough to know how well it will last, but it has held up well to minor abuse from our cat. It feels heavy and well-made, and there's no obvious issues with the frame or upholstery. Everyone I spoke to on the phone, from the designer to customer service was very nice and helpful (specifically when on the phone, I'll get to that). Shout out to Karla for advocating for us to those with refund-giving authority.

Cons: While I like the couch, I unfortunately cannot recommend buying anything from DreamSofa, the company.
We placed an order in mid September and were told, both on the phone and by the website, to expect shipping in 4-6 weeks, maybe 8 weeks if something truly unexpected came up, plus 2 weeks for packaging and shipping. At most, a 10 week wait. By the second week in November (right at the 8 week mark), we got confirmation that our order had moved to inspection, so likely to need another week and we could have it in hand by week 11. Disappointing to be behind the "worst case" schedule, but not a crazy thing to have happen. We didn't hear anything at all for another 2 weeks.

Then, an email informing us our couch had failed inspection and the fabric we wanted wasn't up to standard and couldn't be restocked. They said they'd send us a new set of fabric swatches immediately and prioritize our order so that, after we picked a fabric, it would only take a few more weeks to build and re-inspect. We were additionally offered a modest refund in the form of upgrading our shipping for free. AGAIN, we heard nothing for two weeks. I found it strange that they hadn't rush shipped our swatches given how far behind schedule things were, so I called customer service (multiple times and eventually got through). I was assured that my swatches would actually be arriving in the next three days and everything was okay. When the swatches arrived, the package was postmarked the day after I had called. They simply had never sent the first pack of swatches when they promised. We selected a fabric and waited. This was over the holidays, so some slowdown was reasonable. It took an additional 5 weeks to get it finished, and by the time we received it, it had been exactly 21 weeks since we placed the order.

During the wait, I called customer service to complain about the swatch issue and ask for a larger refund, and was offered slightly less than 10%. More specifically, I called many times and nobody was picking up the phone, so I set up a time (over email) to be called by someone with decision making power. They no-showed the time we had arranged. Their explanation for why: there were actually a lot of customers in my position, and they were currently swamped.

When the couch finally shipped, we double checked what they were offering us and were told that the 10% refund was actually separate from the free shipping and we were only getting one or the other (the shipping was a $150 value). I found this to be incredibly petty. Calling again, I expressed that I felt the current refund didn't reflect the doubling of the "worst case" timeline, and the customer service failures along the way. They increased the refund to 15%. I do not find this to be sufficient. I was also strongly discouraged from leaving a review by customer service, and was told by an employee that they would be personally punished if I left a negative review. On a personal level I feel bad for this person because they're being hung out to dry by their employer. On a professional/business level, leveraging the actual well-being of a person against my ability to share my bad experience is wild and a big red flag.

We were told to let them know when we received the couch so they could apply the refund. We did and got ghosted for 2 weeks! Again! We emailed and were told they would look into it, and we didn't hear from them for another week. What finally seemed to work was calling customer service (again, many times) and leaving a message. That got them to process the refund, but only half of what we had agreed to. I then called multiple times to no answer and left a message, after which point they finally got it right.

UPDATE: DreamSofa Reached out and offered a full refund. They were extremely apologetic and insistent that they have made changes. They mentioned being less optimistic with timelines and changing the way they stock fabrics. Also some of the customer service related delays were due to a family emergency. I note that a large part of this turning out okay for me and my wife was a lot of self-advocacy, keep that in mind if you have a bad experience. Ultimately I'd rather have paid in full and got it on time with no hassle. A 3.5/5 for me, I'm rounding it up here

Highly Recommend

I had high expectations of DreamSofa quality and service...and they have delivered (even exceeded) in every way. We love our sofas/chairs and couldn't be happier with the high-end quality. We had a few little issues (very minor) and all were resolved perfectly. Clyde Perang is our service expert and he has been amazing to deal with...always responsive, knowledgeable cheerful and capable. The whole experience had been great from start to finish. I would highly recommend DreamSofa!

Support a great company and USA manufactured products!

I had heard about Dream Sofa from a furniture newsletter. I loved that their sofas were manufactured in California (as opposed to overseas), and they had so many options for customizations, such as sofa styles, fabric & colors, cushion firmness...

I worked with a representative to narrow down fabrics that would work best for me (I have pets) and ordered swatches. Once I was ready to order, I also discussed with the rep my concerns for delivery (my doorway is somewhat narrow), and she came up with a solution to ensure the sofa would fit through. The response time between messages was generally within a day.

While my sofa was being made, I received updates on its progress every two weeks. It took ~10 weeks from my order date to receiving my sofa, which wasn't a big deal since I wasn't in a rush. Note, I did get a custom length, which added to the time.

The sofa was better in person than I could have imagined. It also came with matching pillows! It was nerve wracking making a big purchase without seeing the product in person, but I felt the website accurately represented the final product. I will say, ordering swatches is a must! The colors are a bit different from online vs. in person, which isn't surprising, and it'll also give you a better idea of the different fabric textures (they have so many options!)

Overall, I highly recommend ordering your "dream" sofa from Dream Sofa!

BELLA APPLE, BRAVO CLYDE!

I've been living with my sofa for about 2 months now. The fabric and color are fabulous; something I never would have found at a store near me. The quality of manufacture, so far, appears first rate.

Just after the delivery men had left, I had a bit of a meltdown. I had apparently misconstrued the stated measurements of the seat depth (I would encourage anyone buying online to speak to someone in person before you place your order).

Kudos to Clyde in customer service for advocating for a satisfactory solution! It's so unusual, these days, to find a person who is actually versed in all aspects of the business they represent. Clyde navigated the situation professionally and empathetically with a concise understanding and evaluation of my needs. He was able to expedite a solution with no additional charge to me. Ever so grateful that I can now fully enjoy my DreamSofa!

Brussels Sleeper in Hepburn Apricot

Purchased a Brussels sleeper in Hepburn Apricot. The sofa that was delivered looks very little like the photographs or renderings on the website that buyers are supposed to make their orders from. The specific complaint is the detailing along the seatback. The photos on the site show deep darting, and well defined decorative lines. The sofa that showed up does not have those well defined details. In fact, they’re almost imperceptible which gives the sofa a cheap look which is a shame because the sofa was certainly not cheap.
The sofa is brand new, but the Hepburn fabric does not give the impression that it is going to be durable long-term.
Sofa also took more than a month longer than I was originally told when I made the order.
I would certainly not purchase anything from this company again, and recommend others to be very careful with their selections.

Contracted delivery is lacking

It was easy to get the style, color and dimensions I wanted. No problem there.

The delivery company DS contacted with was horrible. Like a couple of untrained monkeys.
One guy was moving so fast and knocked a metal sconce off my wall.
They did not screw the legs in properly so two of the front legs look terrible. They are so tight I am unable to adjust them.
The worst is that I was given NO heads up as to the delivery date. Not even 24 hours.
Instead, I got a call on New Year's Eve afternoon that they were out front.
I had considered going to the grocery store.
Glad I didn't.

Another crew arrived to deliver my brothers sectional. He lives across the hall. They did not finish setting up his and they did NOT come over and adjust my legs, which were not properly aligned. They just left.

DS said they WOULD adjust my legs while they were here. They heard nothing about it, so once the sale is done, they don't seem to care about customer satisfaction.

Dream Sofa really needs to hold the contracted shipping and delivery companies to a much higher standard.

The initial delivery of my custom Milan…

The initial delivery of my custom Milan sofa took about 2 months longer than I originally expected. After extensive online research to find the best value furniture, landing on to an online company like Dream Sofa led me to feel very anxious. Being unable to visit a store in person, I was relying on good faith principles that the delivery of my sofa would be as expected. To say my expectations were met would be a vast understatement. The sofa was delivered white glove, as scheduled and in beautiful condition. It absolutely met the standards i expected when customizing it. The next issue however was that about a month after warranty expiration, one of the legs collapsed suddenly under normal use. Typically, I'd be furious, but a quick message to support with photos led them to conduct their own investigation of causes, ruling that stresses during delivery due to improper staging damaged the construction. They graciously accepted that the error must have been during transit and offered to schedule a totally free repair with a local serviceman within the week. I've been working with Clyde Perang, and he's been forthright on timeline, accepting fault, and offering solutions. I would absolutely refer this company to my friends for the customer service and transparency alone. But the truth is, the quality of the delivered sofa (transit mishap aside), the available materials, the value, and the attention to detail are all superb and I'm likely going to get more pieces in the future.

Fabulous experience and couldn’t be happier!


Like many, I was extremely tentative about ordering a custom piece without having the ability to see and sit on it beforehand. However, I am so happy that I took the plunge!

From start to finish, our designer Ryan was remarkable! Having sensed that I needed a little bit of hand holding during the process, he went out of his way to give me the confidence that I needed to complete the order.His assistance in answering questions timely, sending loads of fabric swatches, and giving sound advice on sofa options, helped me narrow it down to the perfect choice for our space.

I ended up ordering the Landon 3 piece sectional sofa with the 42 inch deep-Plush cushions. The Lingo porcelain turned out to be the perfect light beige/cream color with absolutely no undertones. At first sight, you can tell that it is a high end quality piece of furniture and it is extremely comfortable.

The white glove delivery was worth the extra expense and Ryan and his team made sure it arrived in time before we were leaving for vacation.

I will absolutely order from Dream Sofa in the future and certainly recommend it to family and friends!

I love my Crete sofa

I love my Crete sofa, so stylish, so plush, so beautiful, not to mention extremely comfy and the rich jewel lavender color is amazing. It makes my home complete and was worth the wait for the fine craftmanship to take place. I've always thought of a sofa as the anchor of a home and this is a beautiful anchor. After a few days, I did notice some indentations on a cushion and one of the front panels. I contacted customer service with my concerns and photos. Clyde promptly responded, informing me that the indentations were caused by the delivery process and offered at no charge to arrange for a new cushion to be sent to me and for a local upholsterer to do an in-home replacement of the damaged panel. Things can happen during the delivery process and DreamSofa made things right for me. If I could give six stars I would.

Marissa Burrett has been incredibly helpful throughout what turned out to be a long decision process. All her ideas and suggestions were right on. She responded promptly to every email and was always upbeat and supportive during our phone conversations. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to have worked with. Looking forward to receiving our new couch.
