The special assistance service was unbelievably great. The team were prompt and efficient and went over and beyond to drop us at the express car park. Thank u

Ticket machine in Carpark c not working…
Ticket machine in Carpark c not working so had to return to Terminal 1 to pay. Over priced coffee from Cloud Picker, no smiles and waited 10 mins to collect. No trays so people had to juggle luggage, babies, food and coffee. Airport needs more staff to help passengers particularly as Aer Lingus strikes are in progress.
My daughter was a solo traveller today
My daughter was a solo traveller today, travelled from Brest Airport France, where staff were super friendly, flight was on time to Dublin, for a connecting Aer Lingus flight to Edinburgh. The flight ended up being more than 3hrs delayed, during which time the staff were rude, sullen and unhelpful. Given she was going to arrive in Edinburgh, a solo female traveller, more than 3 hours behind schedule and needing to find onward travel home 60 miles away, a wee smile or kind word of reassurance would have gone a long way. I thought the Irish were supposed to be open, welcoming and friendly, clearly not, shame on you.
Multiple unnecessary discriminatory security checks
I had a flight connecting from Helsinki to the USA at Dublin airport. As soon as we entered Dublin airport, all of us had to go through passport control and then a security clearance. After that, we moved to a pre-clearance area dedicated to US flights. The lady there scanned our passports and boarding passes and sent a few of us for another security check, while the remaining passengers from my flight were exempted from this extra check. And she was not the most polite person. The same goes for the other personnel on the security belt and, to some extent, for the airline staff.
I later told the staff there that we had already had a security clearance less than 10 minutes ago. They said they didn’t know. I’ve never had this experience before. Now, when I look back at it, I feel that the lady was completely aware of our recent security check, and she was just looking for some victims (based on her personal biases, perhaps). She must have been working at the airport for years, and she knew who the soft targets were, despite the fact that she herself appeared to be of African origin!
I would suggest to avoid this airport. I am going to do it myself in the future. We do not promote airlines or airports to be treated like this. In this age, we have many options with other airports and airlines that treat us much better (at least not much worse). I am pretty sure that anyone flying out from mainland EU to the USA can easily avoid Dublin airport ... its nothing indispensable. Why risk discrimination and multiple security checks for no profit?
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Filthy almost everywhere. Security go slow and rude. Same situation at the gate.Nowhere to get drinks or food after 9 pm in the "Free Zone", or not much later as cafes close early. Just some vending machines if you have a late flight. The prices are madness. Is horrible to wait the plane when you don't have a minimum condition. It's not compare with AMS or Munich. There you can washing, sleeping, eating...
T1-oh dear! Top tip - try the ferry to Holyhead
T1 - review. Dropping off the hire car was easy (we’ll done Thrifty) and I thought I could get through baggage etc and have a meal before my flight to Manchester - but Dublin airport was chaotic - staff were trying to help (chap sorting out the security queues was doing his best) but the place was dirty and unable to cope with the volume of passengers. Beyond security was not a happy experience- Nowhere to stand - let alone places to sit…and the idea of having a relaxing drink and a meal was a joke. Obviously a new restaurant is going up in T1 which really doesn’t help the flow of passengers at the moment but the facilities generally are poor and tannoy announcements inaudible - of course my Ryanair flight (which lasts at least 35 mins) was delayed an hour and a half!!….
One of the worst airports I’ve been to
One of the worst airports I’ve been to. Horrible flow through security and the boarding was a disaster.
So happy to be writing this in a proper, beat AirPort outside Amsterdam.
In transit at Dublin Airport terminal…
In transit at Dublin Airport terminal 1. Luggage could not be delivered after two hours, almost missed the next flight.
Filthy facilities
I am embarrassed to say as an Irish person that our main airport is so cold and dirty at arrivals. The state of the toilets at the baggage collection area was truly disgusting a tourist told me to avoid if I could as I entered. Is it too much to keep this to an acceptable standard???? I travelled from Madrid airport with 5 times as many passengers travelling through and all facilities were impeccable in all areas. I was embarrassed to think that is the first impression tourists get of the country. How many millions do ye make from parking alone every year!

Overcrowded..dirty...A typical example of greed and lack of respect for people need. After security you will find 1 half broken water fountain with a very long line of people waiting to fill their bottle because they understand more about the plastic issue then anybody that manage this joke of a airport. That sums up ...and plenty of other local airports all around ireland forced to close their business because dublin takes it all.
National Embarrassment
Slow as humanly possibly checkin at gate 28A for the ba833 today. I’m surprised if everyone makes the flight. Dublin airport staff painfully slow. One guy on the phone whilst checking in. Complaining that he was supposed to be “on vueling this morning”. He then forgot the baggage receipt which we reminded him. Suffice to say. Pathetic performance by a major airport.
Then questioned by the fast track security lemming asking if we were fast track. As he is beeping the cards showing we are. I then also pointed out it’s written on the boarding card. All because we had our kids with us. Very anti family behaviour by security.

Dropped off at airport and waited two seconds so as to pick up passenger again and was suddenly surrounded by 3 men with high vis jackets to be told I had to wait until the police arrived, I asked where they police and they said to me “as good as”!
It turned out they were 3 airport staff that pick litter! I couldn’t believe their aggression and surrounded my car with my 92 year old passenger scared to death!
One of them was demanding the footage of my dash cam or he wouldn’t let me leave, absolute maniacs!
This was all because I was parked where I shouldn’t have apparently.
Very disappointed
Very disappointed.
Place was quite scruffy looking tables not cleaned. Made the mistake of going to the MEZZ and was ripped off. Tried to get a coffee but almost all the eateries insist you order online! The qr code was unreadable. No real wait people. Definitely a moral issue at the airport. A shame because it could be so much better.
Dublin airport terminal 1 is the worst…
Dublin airport terminal 1 is the worst airport that I have visited in several years. From the moment you enter it’s chaotic, crowded and there is queues at every step. There is no self serve kiosk for baggage drop leading to long lines. Security is also a long line. Then the actual terminal dates quite a bit and was not upgraded, there is no seating, the restaurants offer low quality prepackaged food and all have long queues. Then restrooms are overflowing due to lack of them. Overall just a very unpleasant transit experience, Dublin airport needs to do better.
wrong check in for luggage
When boarding to the plane, yours staff took my small suitcase from me, (apparently plane was full) and they Check in my luggage to the flight to Budapest even though I was flying to Amsterdam????, this is the reason I did not get my luggage, and I am still waiting for it.
Disaster
disorganized airport, flight postponed for 14 hours, spent the night at the airport. it sucks, how can you organize a European final in such a poorly organized and inefficient place. third World...

I can’t even rate this airport from the treatment I got it was shocking I was accused of stealing from Bobby Brown counter while my daughter spent 100 euros on makeup I had an eyelash in my eye and took out my own spoolie to correct my eyelash the staff member must of thought I put something in my bag which if I were in here shoe I would of done the same but before the gathering the proper evidence the in a very public spot accused me of taking the Product searched all our bags which I was happy to participate I get what I did might of made the lady think I did something but I did not I’ve been humiliated and will never fly back to my country through Dublin airport again I’ve spoke to my solicitors since I got back I’m sorry to Sat Dublin airport gets no stars from me

Disgraceful prices
The reality is Dublin airport is not fit for purpose
The reality is Dublin airport is not fit for purpose, should have been moved years ago. Every time I travel through Dublin airport the experience gets worse. There always seems to be works going on with hoards of yellow vests rambling around toilets, restaurants etc. it’s dirty, inefficient and eventually people, who can will stop using it.
Dublin to Geneva
I travelled alone for the first time since my surgeries. A wonderful lady from air Lingus booked me in for assistance and my day just got better and better. The assistance staff were ever so friendly and helpful. They were
Very understaffed and overworked but not once did the smile leave their faces.
Significant drop off..
Security @ Dublin used to be efficient and polite.. last time there appeared to be a distinct change for the worse. I know that it is difficult to get good staff for this role, but staff can be trained and supervised. In this case, the supervision was clearly poor and the supervisor appeared more interested in backing up his staff than doing his job properly… get it back to how it was!
