Beware the fixed call out fee with no service given - no follow up
Booked a callout. During the booking I stated the problem was a faulty value in the heating system. I understand there is a fixed callout fee but the plumber who made the callout spent less then 5 minutes in the house. He took one look at the valve, confirmed the issue was what I said it was, told me he didnt have the part with him to fix it and the office would be in touch. I never heard from Dublin Plumbing again, no follow up call to arrange the visit. If the callout takes 5 mins and no work is performed I think there should be some consideration for that and some goodwill instead of "thanks very much for your money".

I note your review with some disappointment ,
According to our records we issued you a quotation ( No 303) for some plumbing works and completed this work over 2 x no visits in December last ,
Whilst completing the second part of Quote (no 303) in December our engineer noted some separate issues that needed your attention , we again issued you a new quotation (No 521)for the extra works and emailed the quote to you on the 20th of December last
As we received no communication or instruction re this extra work we considered the matter resolved.
That is why we are surprised you have mentioned " we never finished the job " to be clear we completed all works outlined in the quote ( no 303 )
If I am mistaken and we have missed something of course we would be happy to resolve this . and to that end I have tried to call you about this matter ( twice yesterday and again today ) but unfortunately have not been able to reach you ,
Pls give me a call on 018330033 and
once we talk I am confident we can resolve this quickly

It seems you rang us yesterday , an asked for an estimate over the phone to complete a power flush , we provided you with a general cost for this service and I presume you went on to trust pilot to give us a 1 star review because in your opinion we are " to expensive " Just to note you had no engagement whatsoever with us on a professional basis or had an opportunity to judge us on the quality of our work , yet your judging us and our business purely on a 30 second phone call , we had no opportunity to explain exactly what we do when we complete a power flush and why we might be more expensive then other suppliers , so let me explain -
Our pricing may initially seem high, but it reflects the comprehensive nature of our service, including - our back up service , quality of our workmanship , premium materials used etc. I’m happy to walk you through the details to provide a clearer picture.
When we complete a power flush we use specialized equipment , detergents and inhibitors and spend 1 -2 days with 2 engineers on site .
During the appointment, the service engineer will drain your system and connect the power flushing machine. The boiler, pipes and radiators are then flushed with a cleaning chemical. They will add a corrosion inhibitor to prevent corrosion occurring.
We agitate all the radiators to ensure we remove all debris thus ensuring a great result .
Before we finish We balance all the radiators in the property and leave them all working ( and as a recent customer told us the house was never as warm and the radiators never as hot after we finished ! )
During the power flush we constantly check and monitor all radiators on site to ensure there are no leaks and correct any leaks we find .
All this is covered under the umbrella of our extensive €13m insurance policy to ensure peace of mind to our customers ,
Additionally we offer a 12 month warranty on all works we complete .

Far too expensive
Far too expensive. Approximately €1000 to dig an exploratory hole in a concrete path and find the leak in the heating system.
Then an unknown amount to fix the leak.

Dear Mr. Madden,
we feel your review is inaccurate and very unfair.
We refunded you your initial labor charge after you told us that you taught the quote of €780+vat was to expensive.
We quoted for 4 hours labor to dig up path, repair leak if possible, make good and we fully explained over the phone how we would approach the job. We were transparent and up front about what may have to be done if the leak could not be fixed but we could not quote for that until we knew for sure.

From initial contact with Patricia, who was super helpful throughout the whole process, to the lovely young men who came, on time, to do the job, it has been a pleasure to deal with these people. The lads even clean as they go and ask for a vacuum cleaner before they leave! Could not recommend them more highly.

Your quote once we had paid over €200 to get youover the doorstep was over €1100 for a job which another plumber kindly solved for us remotely, over the phone and charged us nothing. Very disappointing.
