We ordered several Duresta items through John Lewis in September with a lead time of 25 weeks. One sofa arrived within that time, damaged, and we are now waiting for a replacement. As for the rest of the furniture, we are 40 weeks on and still waiting. Every couple of weeks or so we get a call from the retailer to advise that delivery has been pushed back another 2-3 weeks, always citing the same generic reasons - fabric delays, manufacturing issues etc, without ever giving specifics or whether they have even started to build the furniture. It’s little wonder that John Lewis no longer sell any Duresta products, as judging by the reviews on here, lots of people appear to be in the same position, having shelled out considerable sums of money and being kept largely in the dark.
Despite a reputation for quality which is what attracted us in the first place, Duresta are slowly destroying their brand through the consistently disingenuous way in which they communicate with their suppliers and customers. Be warned…

5 stars because of quality & unique products they sell, sofa is classy & well made.
If duresta can get there act together can be the market leader, massive improvement needed in customer services & communication with the retailer along with better lead times.
Duresta as a company do not realise a world class brand they could have & they need a big kick up the backside to get them back on track.
A Google rating of 2.6 & 3.5 stars on trustpilot,I can see why.
Ordered through furniture village Princeton (Harvard)grand 4 seater sofa & round footstool. 27th February 2021 with a lead time of 15-17weeks.
It is now June 2022! I have my quality sofa & footstool I ordered which was a replacement.
Stress,hassle,emails,complaints phone calls you name it we went through it all.
The lead time was 20 weeks or so for the replacement which was ordered back in September 2021!
Durestas communication with the retailer was diabolical sometimes none existent furniture village had claimed.
Expanding on that the store manager (furniture village Preston) didn’t have many good things to say about duresta, his words not mine ** lead times are poor the communication is poor - they are not the brand they used to be - retailers are turning there back on duresta because the the service they provide.
In my opinion it’s because of the lead times & when the original damaged sofa was delivered, I needed parts from duresta ordered through furniture village, duresta sent wrong parts 2 of 3 times & the timescale in which it took to receive them was unacceptable.
At this point I’d had enough & they attempted a repair which didn’t work either.
I still didn’t get all the correct parts however the sofa & footstool went back for a replacement.
Towards the end I had to chase duresta for my sofa on behalf of furniture village because of 16 months of agony.
However duresta wouldn’t communicate with me & only through furniture village, I still felt I needed to chase duresta to push them as I didn’t think furniture village where doing enough, I sent email after email until I finally got my sofa & footstool.
The industry is facing tough times & wait times for sourcing parts accepted but considering that the lead times where still unacceptable.
Duresta need to update consistently with customers & retailers for the lead times so they don’t feel ignored, people would perhaps be more understanding being kept in the loop with delays.
Good luck if you are prepared to wait & chase constantly.

We ordred a sofa and sofa bed from Duresta in early June 2021, with an anticipated delivery date of September. We were then told it would be December. Guests for Christmas but no sofas, we slept on the floor! January and the sofa arrived - hurrah ! Sofa bed promised for February, then early April, then we were told it was being made (early May), then it was ready for delivery from Duresta next week ... but two weeks have come and gone and we are none the wiser. The dealer has been great - they are as frustrated as we are with Duresta. The guff on the Duresta web site doesn't excuse their inability to provide customers, some of whom, like us, have been waiting over a year, with reliable information.

Fantastic suite and chairs we knew lead times were long but we were ok with that as we had a lot of decorating to do

Sofa is good, but 40 weeks from order date to delivery was too excessive to give any better score!
We ordered 4 items of Duresta furniture on 28 May 2021 and were quoted a lead time of 4 months. After 6 rescheduled dates for completion, the furniture finally arrived on 24 May 2022. The wait was extremely frustrating and the communication from Duresta via the retailer was vague and inconsistent. I understand that supply chains and staffing have been challenging, but clear and honest communication about the situation would have been helpful.
The furniture itself is wonderful; the quality of material and finish is great, it looks fantastic and is very comfortable.
5 stars for the furniture itself and 0 for Duresta's service.

A 10 month nightmare.
Fortunately, pleased with sofas now they have arrived.

Although I have given 5 stars as we are very pleased with sofa chair and footstool, we were dissapointed with the delivery time, nearly a year to arrive but must say it was worth the wait.The suite looks stunning and elegant.It was quite expensive but you only get what you pay for.I would recommend Duresta because the excellent quality.

We are now 13 months post paying over £3k deposit for a £10k sofa. sitting on summerhouse furniture for months now! we too have had every excuse under sun for lack of sofa. material delays , Duresta moving sute and existing staff. it willing to travel to new site, covid. the list goes on and on. still no confirmed delivery date. will duresta be here in 25 years to honour the frame guarantee that underpins the supposed hand built element of this brand. retailer dies keep in touch but it is embarrassing as they keep saying sorry it’s out of their control. perhaps they should stop stocking them (cooke’s christchurch). they seems to have given up with it. i would urge people to look elsewhere as you will feel let down by duresta as we have been

This is my second Duresta suit I have had . They are beautifully made hard wearing and too long lasting( husband doesn’t want them replaced) THe materials are wonderfull with lots of cjoice

The sofa is poorly built and uncomfortable,
It creeks when getting up and down.
The cushions don't sit high enough at the back pluss they keep dropping down, it's awful.
I've asked furniture village for a refund and have got in touch with furniture ombudsman because I feel so let down.
It was an expensive sofa and I've had to buy a second hand one for the time being.

Well that’s it .now 12 months since we ordered the Furniture from these guys,had every excuse in the book and several delivery dates,they must lie in their sleep,the retailer must be in on it they still take your money and quote you 20 weeks,they must know there’s no chance.still no wiser to delivery,last excuse was shortage of cord😂😂🙈
We’ve been had don’t know how this is legal.
