Absolutely appalled with service

Absolutely appalled with service. Was advised the day before Skip was due to be delivered that the local authority had rejected the off-road permit. Unable to give a refund without the cancellation fee and permit fee deducted, even though they won't be able to provide the service I had requested. I understand the permit fee not being able to be refunded as this was already paid to the local authority. However, I didn't agree with them not being able to provide a full refund as they couldn't provide the service. They offered a 30 minute skip collection to which I agreed as they couldn't give full refund, but then we're unable to provide this on the day I required it even though I previously booked for these days. It took several phone calls and eventually my builder spoke to them. It was only then that they agreed to provide a full refund less the permit fee. However, they still haven't provided a full refund and still charged more than the permit fee. I would not recommend them to anyone and I will not be using them again.

You're right that when we can't deliver the service, how we handle the refund and the alternative arrangements is what matters most — and on both counts we fell short. Offering a 30-minute collection slot and then not being able to provide it, the multiple calls you had to make to resolve it, and the way the refund has been handled is not acceptable, and we want to put it right.

On the permit itself: when a skip requires an off-road permit, we apply on your behalf to the local authority, and the decision to grant or reject sits with them. The permit fee is paid directly to the council at the point of application, which is why it can't be recovered once a decision is made — though we appreciate that doesn't change how disappointing the outcome was for your project.

On the refund: this has been processed on our side and should reach your account within standard bank processing times, typically 3-5 working days from the point of issue. If it hasn't landed by the end of this week, please email us at info@easyskip.uk with your order reference and we'll investigate directly with our payment provider.

Shocking, awful experience

Booked for it to be delivered on Thursday before the Easter bank holiday so we'd have the full weekend to get started. Didn't show, nobody contacted. The phone number is an AI that doesn't patch you through. Then told on Monday the depot had a broken down vehicle. It might come Tuesday. No show. Wednesday, no show.

Wednesday I emailed to cancel, absolute waste of time.

You're right to be frustrated and the review is fair. Your delivery was caught in a depot vehicle breakdown heading into the Easter weekend, and our communication while we tried to recover it wasn't good enough — three missed days on a bank-holiday booking isn't a minor scheduling issue, it's a ruined long weekend.

Your order was cancelled and refunded in full the same day you asked. Since then we've made two changes: one, we now hold back-up supplier capacity across bank-holiday weekends so a single depot breakdown can't derail a delivery; and two, it's now easier to patch through to our customer service team directly over the phone.

We're sorry we got it so wrong on this one.

If possible I would score ZERO. Ordered and paid for skip . Delivery date arrives and NO SHOW !!! After several calls to the company and them promising to sort it straight away after 5hrs still no show . Avoid this company at all costs !!!!!!!!!!!

Scam skip company

THEY CHARGED ME TWICE FOR A SKIP, with deceptive language on there e-mails. Money is locked out of my account.

Paid for a skip on Saturday for Monday delivery. Monday - no skip, phoned up 10am, was told they are looking into it and will get back to me.

Tuesday10am. No skip. Phoned up, was told they are looking into it and will get back to me.

Tuesday 3pm. No skip. Phoned up, there is no-one picking up the phone I was on hold for 1 hour.

Thank you for taking the time to write this up, and we're sorry. A duplicate charge, no delivery on the day you booked, and unanswered calls during business hours — none of those on their own would be acceptable, let alone all three together.

The order was cancelled and refunded in full once we were able to speak. We've since reviewed the payment wording on our booking confirmations, which didn't clearly distinguish between the pre-authorisation hold and the final charge, and we've looked at the phone-handling gap that left you on hold. Both needed fixing and neither should have affected a customer in the first place.

The full refund has been processed and the order closed. Thank you for sticking with it long enough to tell us — it's exactly the kind of feedback that prompted the fixes above.

Skip was booked in and confirmed for…

Skip was booked in and confirmed for delivery today, it hasn’t arrived. Just received a text saying the collection of the skip isn’t due tomorrow…. There won’t be anything to collect because they haven’t delivered anything. Currently almost £400 out of pocket and no one picking up the phone all day, or responding to whatsapp or emails. I have been massively inconvenienced by this.

We're sorry — this was a weekend delivery that went wrong, and the automated messages that followed made it worse rather than better. The order was cancelled and refunded in full.

Two things have changed since: weekend delivery issues are now escalated faster so customers aren't waiting until Monday for a response, and the automated collection text no longer sends unless delivery has actually been confirmed. Thank you for the feedback that prompted both fixes.

Not so easy skip!

I wish I'd read the reviews first!

The first red flag was after I booked the skip for drop off and collection on a Saturday. Their website allowed me to select, confirm and pay for a Saturday drop off and collection. A few days later, I receive an email saying they don't do drop offs and collections at weekends. So why let me pick that option on your web site? Anyway, it was agreed they would drop the skip off on Friday and collect it on Monday. Friday comes and they arrive with the 8 yard skip after initially wanting a 6 yard and being told one isn't available in my area (more on this) and I was told by neighbours who witnessed them arrive, they promptly left again. I call them to ask why they couldn't leave the skip on my mother's driveway and they said an 8 yard wouldn't have fit. I explained to the gentleman on the phone that I initially wanted a 6 yard but was told one was not available to which he said oh yes we've got 6 yards in stock at the depot. So I angrily call their customer service line which is such a bad quality line its almost impossible to hear the other person and request a refund. Avoid!

This reply is late — we weren't actively monitoring Trustpilot at the time you posted. We are now, and every review is read and replied to.

The weekend-booking issue is fair — you raised it with us privately at the time, and we should have fixed it then. The website shouldn't allow Saturday slots we can't fulfil.

The £318.46 skip charge was refunded in full once it was clear the delivery couldn't go ahead. The wasted-journey element was a separate point on placement, handled directly with you.

On the phone-line quality — fair point, and that's since been upgraded.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. When you book you’re only allowed to select one box for what you are placing in the skip.
Once booked you then receive an email about prohibited items.
Subsequently/ after booking you receive a list of additional charges including £100 + vat for who knows what, admin fee, processing fee, then a list of charges for each item like soft furnishings £35 + vat, electrical items £35 + vat, upholstery £35. + vat and plasterboard £45/bag + vat etc
It then lists out charges for if you declare it after the event and these are roughly double or more!
Stay away from these cowboys who make up the charges as they go along without any upfront notification! (Despite what they might say) and no they did not address it! Instead threatened with charges for holding the skip and also changed the charges!

For context, charges for restricted items aren't set by us. They reflect actual disposal costs charged by licensed waste facilities (mattresses, sofas, electricals and plasterboard each carry specific processing requirements under UK environmental law). These items are listed in our T&Cs, agreed at checkout. Where we can make that clearer in the booking flow, we will.

Terrible Company - Avoid

Terrible service. Avoid this third-party company and go to a skip company direct. Placed an order for a skip delivery in 2 days and holding payment. I never heard back from them, and it's impossible to speak to anyone. I cancelled my order and still not heard back from them.

We let you down on the day it mattered most. Sunday booking, Tuesday move — you needed certainty by Monday at the latest, and instead you spent Tuesday morning chasing us. That's not okay, and we'd own it fully.

Weekend orders are now confirmed first thing Monday rather than left in limbo — that change came directly from situations like yours.

Never use this company

Never use this company, what a let down, after ordering the skip on line and then confirming its delivery as I live three hours from where it was being delivered and didn’t want a wasted journey myself to load it. I needed it to arrive Tuesday, after a gut feel to call again to confirm, after a long wait I was finally told it wouldn’t arrive until the following Monday!!! They didn’t even have the decency to call me!

Wasted journey charge

We booked an 8-yard skip through EasySkip, but unfortunately had a very frustrating experience.

When the skip arrived, the driver placed it on our driveway. There was limited space around it, but we made it clear that we were happy with the placement and could still access our property without any issues. Despite this, the driver chose to remove the skip.

We were then informed that we would be charged a £90 “wasted journey” fee, and if we still wanted the skip, we would also need to pay an additional £60 for a road permit. At no point during booking was there any clear information on the website about needing a certain amount of space around the skip.

When we contacted EasySkip, they stated the reason was due to potential damage if the skip moved when being collected. We explained that this was not a concern for us, as we were planning to remove the front posts of the property anyway. They then changed their reasoning, saying the posts could damage the skip itself.

After a lot of back-and-forth, they agreed to reduce the wasted journey charge, which we appreciated. However, this situation could have been completely avoided if clear guidance had been provided on their website regarding space and access requirements.

Overall, our issues were resolved and good communication from Lane at easy skip, however the lack of transparency led to an unnecessary and frustrating experience.

Thanks for taking the time to write this — and for being fair about it. Glad Lane managed to get there with you in the end; I'll pass on your kind words.

The website transparency point is a fair one, and you raised it with us at the time as well. Drivers do have to call it on the day around safe lifting clearance, but customers shouldn't be finding out about access requirements only when the skip is already in front of the house — that should be set out clearly before you book. It's feedback we've taken on board.

The back-and-forth to reach a resolution also took longer than it should have, and we'd apologise for that on top.

Probably the worst company I have ever used

I ordered a skip to be delivered on Friday which after taking payment then said they couldn’t do. They then said I would receive it on Tuesday (yesterday) again…..no skip….was assured I would have it today and still no skip. I haven’t received an apology and at no point have they contacted me to explain the situation. I have made numerous calls to them but still no skip. Disgusting customer service…..please for your own sanity don’t use them

Undelivered skip

We were given a skip delivery time of between 7am and 7pm which is itself not great. The skip has not arrived and it has gone 7pm.
I have been chasing to find out what has happened. No response apart from an AI chatbot that said someone would call me. No one has called and I have builders who are unable to get on with their work properly until the skip arrives.
