Poor resistance to bird pooh !
Bought white paint for capping stones on a wall near the road for my house where the old paint kept peeling off due to trapped moisture. stripped old paint and used emperor. too soon to see if it lasts longer than the old paint.
However any bird pooh on the paint leaves nearly a hole in the paint down to the wall. it totally dissolves the paint. Disappointed that it has so little resistance compared to the paint that was on the wall. Yes bird pooh is bad for paint but for this emperor paint it attacks it.
So dont recommend it on flat wall surfaces. Maybe only good for vertical walls. This should be pointed out on the web site.

Emperor Masonry Paint is designed and tested for use on vertical masonry surfaces, where its breathable, water-repellent properties provide the best long-term performance. Horizontal surfaces, such as wall capping stones, are exposed to prolonged standing water and harsher weathering, so they are not an application we recommend for this product.
We're sorry to hear about the issue you've experienced with bird droppings. We'd like the opportunity to understand this in more detail, so please get in touch with our customer service team with some photos of the affected area. We'll be happy to investigate and offer any advice we can.

So far so good
Order arrived next day and was well packaged to avoid any damage. I have started to apply the Textured Basecoat and so far so good. I will need to place a follow-up order to complete the whole house project which is 100% rendered and I am confident I made the right choice of products having first ordered samples to test and confirm best paint colour.

Really happy with the quality of the…
Really happy with the quality of the masonry paint. Easy to apply and gives a great finish. My only suggestion would be to sell the ancillary products in smaller quantities as I am left, as a DIYer, with large amounts of anti fungal and primer which will go to waste.

Anthracite dark primer and Anthracite smooth render and white primer and white smooth render paint
My decorator followed the preparation guidelines and painting instructions. He loves the paint especially how it glides on smoothly without dragging. Expensive but quality paint. Its self cleaning, worth every penny and has an excellent 25 year guarantee. Customer service very helpful and advised best product for my needs prior to purchase online. Delivered in 2 days. Highly recommended.
