I contacted Emsleys about an employment settlement and was put in touch with Ikram. He was very professional and explained the process and when he could complete the settlement. During our meeting he went through the details of the settlement and duly signed it the same day. A very good reassuring and professional solicitor.

Excellent service and prompt service when we bought our house and they did the conveyancing. Everything went smoothly, professional and quickly. Julie was always on top of the situation and timelines agreed were met. A visit to the office to drop off paperwork was pleasant as well.

We are really happy that we chose Emsleys Solicitors. Our circumstances made the moving process complicated and required a lot of work from our solicitor Ashleigh but she still managed to get us completed and into our new house before the stamp duty rise which was amazing.

Emsleys receive one star because they are officially still ongoing with the task assigned to them. That’s where it ends. I cannot give zero stars.

Do not expect communication.
Do not expect answers to questions.
Do not expect to speak with the same member of staff twice. I am not allowed to publish names here and so will not.
Do not expect common human decency.
Emsleys are a black hole where communication goes to die. When they decide to get in touch they will not be answering any questions that have actually been asked. Just white noise.
Paperwork is often ‘lost’, ‘misfiled’, or ‘just not received’. When chased up by the client – there is no communication.
In the East Leeds area there are masses of solicitors and estate agents. For your own sanity and your own well-being choose someone else, choose anyone else.
