Just starting out

My regular internist put me on Ozempic. I lost 10 pounds the first month and had very little side effects. I recently turned 65 and went on Medicare. When I went to renew my second round of Ozempic I was informed that Medicare does not cover weight loss medications. My cost would have been $1,800 a month to continue the Ozempic. I started to do my research and went with a company that had good ratings. I started taking the semiglutide and when I was ready for my second round I was told that my medication was out of stock for at least 3 weeks so that was the end of that. Again I did my research and came across EnhanceMD.
So far I have had a positive result. What impressed me was that they had me go to Quest Labs to get tested. It was a pretty thorough work up. I have an appointment with the health care worker on Monday. So far the process has been quick, professional and easy. I will add to my review once I begin the medication. So far I have been pleased

Worst Semaglutide Experience with Enhance MD

Things were going fairly well until the semaglutide arrived on Wednesday 12/18. I took my first dose that day. On Friday, 12/20, I received an email stating that the vial they sent me was contaminated. It is 10 days later, 12/28, and they still cannot tell me what kind of contaminations I injected into my body! Several phone calls were made to Enhance along with several emails. I keep getting told that they are waiting for answers from their pharmacy. They keep telling me if I experience side effects to seek immediate medical attention. What kind of side effects? My doctor is still waiting to hear in what way was the semaglutide contaminated. I was also told they are recalling the vial they sent me and will have replacement to me by 12/28...today. I was told this at least 4 times in emails and on the phone. It is 12/28. I have not received a replacement. They haven't even shipped the replacement! I thought I had done a good job researching for the right company to get my semaglutide from and instead I'm having the most horrible first experience with semaglutide and Ehance MD.

This is the first time Enhance.MD has experienced a recall from one of our partnered pharmacies. We are so sorry that this was one of your first experiences with us.

We sent out communication with any potentially vials impacted by the recall, later we localized the recall to a specific batch. Our internal testing showed that the contamination was likely localized to the test batch that we sent to our labs. We then requested retesting of the batch for confirmation of any contaminates.

Lab testing of this kind can take up to two weeks, so any delay in getting this information to you was based on us awaiting the lab test results. The lab results was sent to us on Jan 2025 and thankfully there was no contamination was found for any vials sent to our patients.

We issued a recall out of an abundance of caution to safeguard the health of our patients. I have confirmed with our patient care team that you have received your replacement vial.

We will support you every step of the way now that we are over this hurdle.

initially it took a while to get my…

initially it took a while to get my first vial. Things were ok till my 3 month check in. I did the virtual appointment with the nurse who said she will approve the continuance of my weight loss medication. Well now my dashboard shows no medication and no orders. Guess I will just spend my money elsewhere

No stars!
I signed up and everything went smoothed until I get the Tirzepatide and there is only enough for one week. I was told that the pharmacy sent me the wrong vial. I keep calling and emailing. I still have not received the Tirzepatide. They just say they are following up with the pharmacy.
I missed from taking my second dose and the way it looks I will probably miss from taking the 3rd week also.

Really fast turnaround time

Really fast turnaround time. I signed up on Monday, had my labs order on Tuesday, did my labs on Wednesday, had a virtual visit on Thursday and received my meds on Friday.

So disappointed with Enhance.MD

So disappointed with Enhance.MD, things started off brilliantly they are VERY comprehensive, the blood tests and the doctors visit were great it went very downhill from there and I dont know if this is just how things work in the compound medication industry but it is VERY frustrating and IMO unacceptable. The doctor prescribed the medication and it has taken over two weeks for it to arrive at my home where it arrived warm which I knew was going to be the case as I watched the FedEx tracker with the label being created on 10/10 and the medication arriving today 10/15, FIVE days later and who knows what heat level it was exposed to on its way to me. I really thought that Enhance was going to be better than the previous company I was working with but actually its slower and more stressful! THREE weeks from sign up to medication receipt is outrageous in this day and age and to receive the medication warm when I have read trusted sources online stating that it decreases the efficacy of the medication to have go warm. What a disappointment Enhance.MD is! I may as well pay the monthly $550 for Mounjaro, get it from my pharmacy and not deal with the stress of these online businesses who have such inefficient service models.

In terms of timelines, our average turn-around from subscription start is 10-15 business days. To create a lab order, for you to complete labs, and schedule your virtual visit typically takes 3-5 business days depending on how quickly you can complete your bloodwork. After your virtual visit, our quoted delivery time is 5-10 business days.

In this case, it looks like our carrier FedEx, failed in their promise to provide 2-day overnight shipping.

Each pharmacy we partner with has guidelines on safe usage for the semaglutide we provide, once we confirm your pharmacy we will provide your pharmacy's guidelines on temperature safety. In most cases, our pharmacies supply semaglutide that is stable and still has maximum potency when reaching temperatures up to 105 degrees during transit for 5 days.

Please reach out to us at support@enhance.md so we can hold our carrier accountable for the timeline they promised us and look into a resolution about your medication arriving warm. Please ask to speak to management about this so we can perform a full investigation. We are committed to making this right with you.

Clear, concise and professional. From the ease of initial online consultation, to lab work to questions about dosages. Two months in, and happy with results so far.

A company I can trust

My experience with enhance.md has been positive. I feel comfortable using their services because they require bloodwork done and a consultation before perscribing medication to see if you are the right candidate. They also have periodic check ins and support staff. The medication comes in a timely matter with all the supplies needed.

Don’t be misled

I was turned down without a valid reason. Waiting for a refund. Where is it?
Update: money was refunded. But I still object to the way the process played out. I met (zoom call) the nurse practitioner and chatted with her for a while she then said she heard from her supervisor that because of my age I had to also speak to a specialist she (or enhance) would send their info. Instead, less than 2-3 minutes later I received an email
Saying I was turned down. Poor communication overall

One of our core values at Enhance.MD is transparency. Our practitioners are trained to keep patient safety as our highest priority. We will only prescribe if we know it will be safe for you and if we can provide the support that you require for treatment.

If you were denied treatment, we always provide the reason why we can't help you. In the unlikely event that a practitioner was unclear on this management will be happy to look into what took place and provide a further explanation on this.

We never take money from patients we can't help. The only situation we cannot provide a refund is if the medication has already been paid for and sent to you.
