Absolutely garbage. Terrible. They didn’t allow me to even get on the bus. Probably the worst customer service support ever in my life and that’s not an overreaction.

we are a residential home and one our service users had an medical episode on the buss and we could not express anymore how grateful we were to the bus driver who showed great compassion, Patience and empathy towards the person well done ensign and a big thank you to the driver.

Great company,mostly on time,occasionally late but if a bus is late I look on Google to see if anything posted on twitter.i only get return fares as I don't need to go out often.be great if first go bk to doing cash payments for monthly tickets now they have taken ensign over.my child does not have a smart phone so can't get the app to get a monthly ticket

I live in Tilbury Essex and work at Lakeside and I relay on The 77 to go to work at night . It's really annoying to wait and see that the bus doesn't show up. Today again I came early expecting the one at 20:36 but nothing. The winter coming, I'm thinking leaving this job because the bus isn't regular and

I want to say thank you, my daughter lost her phone in the bus, we contact Lost Property department, they were very helpful and quickly take action to find a phone . Thank you also for a bus driver ! Really great service.
Not disabled friendly
This bus company couldnt give 2 flying ones for disabled people. I scan on with a disabled person pass and immediately the bus starts moving, no chance to find a seat or even somewhere to stand. I have mobility issues and I nearly fall over every time I have to ride one of these buses.
Avoid if possible.

I am usually a very respectful person but today on my way back home from Grays station at 11:41 am ,I jump in a bus with a smile saying hello, even if the bus driver was speaking thru the window with some guy, he looked at me , didn't say nothing turn his head and continue speaking with his mate.I was seating by the machine to pay the ticket,,,when he finally decide to,,help me,,I was saying,,One ticket to Lakeside,,and he was saying to his mate and same time laughed with him very loud to make me feel bad,PLEASE,,,,,and he continue with,,U know what I mean,,,,,and bought of them laugh of me , without actually doing anything wrong!!!
At that point I get angry and told him all the story I start with,,I jump in a bus , say hello, u didn't answer , u let me wait until u finish and so on,,,,and he was like,,oho u have attitude , aaaa?,, I ask him to give me a ticket to Lakeside and that's it,,,,he was,,To give u a ticket I need to type,,,and look at me from toe to head and still let me wait , until I repeat,,Can I have a ticket to Lakeside?!
Finally get the ticket from him.
Was many people in a bus and I felt very shame , I didn't done nothing wrong and I've been treat it like,,,,don't know.
This kind of disgusting people should be punished some how coz maybe another person after me get the same treatment!!!!!!!

Not even 1 star they deserve. First time want to use the ensign bus service from Grays to tilbury station with my wife and my17 months old baby. I was on ensign bus at 15:58 from Grays Morrison stop. First want to ask the driver as I am from London, I am new in this service. Is it going through tilbury station? Driver was look at me and looks at me like I am from different planet. And he start the racism straightway. He was answering me rudely it written right? Then I want to pay for individually for my wife and me as we do in London normally with different card for the bus. Again he gave me look and said tell me where you want to go first and I will turn on my machine for payment. He said to me rudely you could me pay in one go as well. Why not you paying together. You wasting my time. Driver was so racist on us and don’t want to help if your skin is brown. Don’t recommend this bus service. Try to avoid them if you can please.

Doesn't deserve even 1 star!!! The Ensign bus company is awful. Terrible bus service. The office can't deal with any complaints, no explanation , bad as the drivers. The drivers skipping stops, customer service is poor and unprofessional, ignoring my emails, so childish. The bus drivers so rude. I would not recommend anyone to work for Ensign bus company Limited at Purfleet.
They never show up on time
They never show up on time or they just come way too early and drive past the bus stop. What is the point of having times then.
Driver drove past without stopping last time.. now I'm here since 2.45pm & it's 3.30pm and still no bus arrived yet even tho on the map it says 2 buses should have come and gone already
Awful service, punctuality is atrocious, customer service is poor and childish
Awful service, and such unprofessional customer service - look at the other comments and you can literally see how rude and immature they are when it comes to handling customer complaints. They don't act like a business, they act like a bad-mannered teens, with the tone and language they use on the phone, on the bus too.
Also, Ensignbus said in a previous comment they have 95% punctuality with their service - Lies! Absolute bullocks, In the 5 years of catching your service, you've been ontime/early a handful of times, with the standard being a delay of 5-8 mins, and a good 30% of buses not showing up or being 15mins+ late.
Fix your tracking service.
I will never catch this service again, will be walking everywhere and driving instead

Ridiculous service. I was waiting the bus 77 to Grays bus Station and the driver didn't stopped at my signal. Just before the station he just changed the lane and he didn't care that I was at the stop. Very disappointing

Service: Incredjbly slow service: not enough different services and the the ones they do have try to cover too much area in one line, meaning that a journey which should be a 7 minute drive results in taking an hour to get there via bus. Also, the busses are incredibly unreliable, they can cancel a bus or the service, and not tell anyone. Never has been on time, with a minimum delay or 5 mins for each stop, and an average of around 10 mins delay. Lastly, the service is SO expensive for no reason - TFL is 1.50, why is Ensign bus £4.50?? More money for a atrocious service
Customer service: Rude, unhelpful and google maps knows the times better than them. Ask them for help and they best they can give me is « the bus has gon off the tracker, i know we much as you ».
Avoid them at all costs, just save up for a car

I take the Z2 bus daily to get to work
I take the Z2 bus daily to get to work. On the 15/09/2022 around 5:30, as usual there was a queue for the bus from Amazon Tilbury to Barking. As the people are getting in the bus a lady while paying for her ticket asked the driver “Barking?”, which is very common to ask since there’s often some misunderstanding with the drivers and the destinations Barking and Canning Town.
The bus driver rudely replied “Did you read the front of the bus? ” or something similar.
I found this very rude and unprofessional since the lady just wanted to make sure she was in the right bus, after a 10h shift I believe some workers are tired and maybe she did not read the front of the bus. Therefore I believe that it is completely fine for a passenger to ask the driver the destination of the bus.
Might be that the driver was having a long day or something but there was no need to be rude and speak with arrogance so early in the morning.
This is not the first time I have experienced this.
Even after a complaint they gaslight
If I could give a 0 star I would. I had a very negative experience on bus 44 with their drivers. Ensignbus does not care about their customers because even after the written complaint they continue to gaslight and minimise my experience. I am not the first one to call out the rude bus drivers, however as you can see from the complaint (and reply below) they do not care how their drivers speak to their customers. In fact, they rather continue to engage with the minimising and gaslighting. A very distasteful and poor company.

I'd like the meet the bright spark who decided to put a learner bus driver on the 7.25, 88C bus route from Hart Close, Stifford Clays to Grays bus station. It's not the bus drivers fault, we all have to learn somewhere. But wouldn't common sense say that you don't rota in a learner at a time when commuters are desperately try to get to Grays station to catch specific train. The bus finally got into Grays at 7.47, (5 mins late) same time as the train leaves.
It's bad enough that you hardly run any buses now from Stifford Clays, the 88 bus service being the only one now. The bus service in Thurrock nowadays is awful. Use some common sense on working your rotas better.
