Terrible service

No body seemed to bothered about helping me with my daughter’s head measurements so I could purchase a hat!
I was standing about for about 10 minutes untill I asked someone to help me.
We were spending £720 on a samshields which I consider a lot of money !
Finally someone helped me and we did purchase it , I had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to find a box .
We got home my older daughter works in equestrian retail has been sent on various hat fitting courses.
She checked the Sam shields and said well that doesn’t fit ..
It’s too big !
Dissatisfied all round !

We are very sorry to hear you feel disappointed with your experience, as this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide.

At busy trade events, we do always try to assist customers as quickly as possible, but we appreciate waiting can be frustrating. We pride ourselves on offering a high level of customer care, especially when it comes to helmet fitting, and all of our helmet fitting staff have a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

During fittings, we always check the helmet carefully and ask the customer to confirm they are happy with the feel and fit before purchase. However, we would hate for anyone to be left unhappy with their helmet and would really appreciate the opportunity to help resolve this for you.

Please do get in touch with us directly with your address details, so we can see how local you are to us, or whether we may be attending any upcoming events near you where we can assist further.

We are sorry we were not contacted before the review was left, as we would always want to be given the chance to put things right.

The service was just great

The service was just great, the very friendly lady took her time to find the perfect Samshield helmet for my daughter and to adjust it perfectly to her head. Thank you very much! I would always buy again at Espayo!

Efficient and trustworthy

Ordered 2 KEP hats that weren't in stock yet, however the delivery only took less than 2 weeks which is great as I was initially told it could take over 2 weeks! Which is still fast considering they come from the manufacturer in Italy. Customer service was great, answered emails quickly and were super helpful. Products arrived in perfect condition. Overall a really good experience!

Excellent, prompt, efficient, friendly service!

This review is not really for the product I purchased, it is for the customer service. I was placing an international order, and for a helmet that was very specific on sizing for two different parts. Somehow, my size entries didn’t check when I placed the initial order, and someone immediately reached out to me to verify my sizes. They also let me know what to expect, and efficiently prepared my order and got it to me right away. They responded to my follow up questions immediately, and every message was helpful, thorough, and friendly. Would highly recommend placing your order with Espayo!

Fitting and product (Samshield hat) is lovely, but it took almost 3 months between placing the order at London Olympia and its arrival. We would have bought locally had we realised the delay!

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are really pleased to hear that you’re happy with the fit and the finished Samshield helmet.

I’m very sorry to hear your disappointment regarding the lead time, and I completely understand how the wait must have felt. As your helmet was fully custom made, including the laser name personalisation, it was produced entirely to your specification. Because of this, it wouldn’t have been something available to purchase directly or locally, as each custom helmet is made to order by Samshield.

When ordering at London Olympia, we do advise a lead time of around 12 weeks for all fully bespoke helmets, as they are handcrafted and produced in France. Your order was delivered within that timeframe, but I completely appreciate that it can still feel like a long wait when you’re excited for something so special.

As a small business, we genuinely care about every customer’s experience, and reviews have a huge impact on us. If you felt comfortable doing so, we would really appreciate if you might consider updating your review to reflect both the custom nature of the product and your satisfaction with the helmet itself as the lead time is completely outside of our control as a retailer.

Thank you again for your order and your support, it really does mean a lot to us.
