Horrible Company - Fraudlent & Dishonest
I don't leave negative reviews about organizations, but I will this time. If I could give Ava Estell a 0 for customer service and lack of accountability when errors are made, I would. They debited my account for $33 when my member ship was paused and did not send the product. Instead they gaslight, yes I said gaslight the customer stating that I made the purchase when I did not. In addition they added a useless credit of 20.00 GBP to my account that I will never use.
Not sure what ethics they have (or don't have) but they do not treat their customers with any respect. If you make an error do not tell me about your policy.

Scam beware I ordered the products never received any and after trying to contact them for 3 months now no reply and they took 50 pounds out of my account. I will be contacting my bank to get the money back .
Horrible Shipping Times
It's going on 3 weeks and my order has not been shipped yet. I'm getting emails asking how my product is but unfortunately I STILL don't have any products.
Deceitful BEWARE
In my experience, I believe that there are serious issues within this company that are affecting how they now deal with customers. I knowingly subscribed to monthly payments in order to spread the cost of the items I enjoyed. However, when it came to purchasing these items, it seems there is no mechanism in place on their website to facilitate payments via the accumulated store credit. They still charged my card. I had to email back and forth with customer services to get them to deduct the amount from my store credit and refund my card account. I enquired at the time, if I was at fault somehow and was assured that I was not and that it was just a system glitch. That was back in July. However, the same thing happened again on 23rd September. I emailed customer services who raised a discount code in the wrong amount. An amount higher than what I had spent. I had to email again, giving the amount of my order, which was concerning, why don’t you know the sum amount of the order? RED FLAG. When my order hadn’t arrived by 3rd Oct, I chased up only to be told there was an issue with my address, which I thought was odd as they have been delivering to my address without issue for a while. I asked them to confirm what address they had and they confirmed the correct address. Second RED FLAG. To date (10 Oct 24) I still have not received my order, despite assurances that the order has been shipped, been given a tracking number that links to Parcel2GO.com which says ‘Waiting for confirmation from the courier’. This message has been up for 6 days.
Ava Estell refuse to cancel the order, despite the order not being shipped. They refuse to refund the approx £80 sitting on my account and clearly, they refuse to take accountability of their shark practices. I’m so disappointed in this company and having to leave this review, but it’s more important to warn others wanting to support this business that THEY ARE UNWORTHY AND DECEITFUL. BEWARE!

Awful Customer Service – Don’t Waste Your Money on Ava Estell
like Ava Estell’s products, but their customer service is absolutely horrendous. I placed an order on September 10th, and as of today, I still haven’t received it. Worse, I haven’t gotten any official updates about the delays despite reaching out multiple times. When I finally got a response, they claimed one item was out of stock, which caused the delay. Any reputable company would have shipped the rest of the order and marked the missing item as back ordered. But Ava Estell? They just keep making excuses, acting like it's not their problem.
The worst part? This order was part of their supposed perk for paying the monthly membership fee, which is supposed to get you deals and discounts on future orders. What a joke. It’s clear they have no idea what they’re doing. They’ll happily take your membership money but can’t even fulfill orders. This situation proves they’re deceptive, and their customer service is completely dismissive of their mistakes.
Don’t waste your time or money with Ava Estell. Save yourself the headache and frustration.

Deceptive company! Hidden Monthly Membership Fees and Deceptive Marketing Practices
I wanted to warn people about the deceptive marketing practices employed by this company.
When I made my initial purchase in July, I was not informed of any recurring charges or memberships. I bought a product and they offered a "free" gift with the item and made no mention of any membership. 2 months later I have subsequently seen transactions and learned that this "free" gift was a tactic to conceal a mandatory monthly membership fee of £20 that I was unaware of and didn't consent to.
The company's failure to disclose this information constitutes a violation of my consumer rights. I have kindly requested a full refund of £40 related to the hidden membership fees i paid in Aug and Sept and they have responded offering me a store coupon for future purchases which I politely declined because I have no desire to continue a relationship with a company that engages in deceptive marketing practices. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate.

My daughter and I have been using these products for over a year and they worked very well,However the last couple orders I had a issue with extra charges for membership that I didn't add and product protection fee that I didn't add. This recent order took two months to come, when I opened the box one of the night cream was open and wasted in the box one of the body cream was opened and looked like it has been used and I also received the wrong body wash and all of the products were dented and looked old and used. Unfortunately this will be my last purchase from this company we'll have to get skincare products somewhere else

Avoid this business, products do not work
Was excited to support a black owned business, but customer service is slow and not great, hair growth and magix cream did not work at all after 4 months and I have been charged £20 sub fee for products that I will never buy again. Beware, the 100 day money back guarantee, you MUST send photos within three days of receiving the product. That is how they get you. I will never support this misleading scammers again. Waste of money and very dishonest.
Positive First Experience but Customer Service Needs to Improve
I placed my first order after seeing multiple adverts on Insta. I’m prone to eczema and dry patches so I wanted to try a brand that caters to various skin conditions and has natural ingredients. My first order was shipped quickly and the Magix Cream helped clear up the eczema on my skin and I’m using it on the patches on my legs to see if it clears that up. On 25.08.24 I placed my second order as I had run out of the winter body cream and I expected the same experience as before. 3 days later I received an email from Ava Estell that there had been a logistical issue with some orders not being shipped which had been rectified. Then I got a follow up email to “check my doorstep” as my order had been dispatched and would be with me soon however I never received the tracking details which prompted me to check recent reviews and I became concerned because of the recent negative reviews. I emailed Solace as this is the email given for customer service to query the tracking details and I received an email apologising with a link to the tracking (note I received this email AFTER the tracking email was eventually sent to me). The tracking was with DHL express instead of Royal Mail so clearly there had been an issue with the shipping. Pleased to say I received my order 04.09.24 which is considerably later than advertised. I understand problems arise and will shop again with this company in the future however the communication needs to improve; having customers wonder where their order is and become concerned it isn’t going to arrive isn’t a nice experience.

Conniving brand. Appauling customer service and immorally help themselves to a membership fees that provides no value to the cost, hidden in the checkout process. Nothing short of scammers and fraudsters, stay well clear.

I supported this melanin in mine company Ava Estelle for just about almost 2 years but they are fraudulent when it comes to double dipping in your accounts and pretending like I signed up recently for a monthly member that I never had and or did....I am not only leaving that storecredit that they tried to bribe me with as an apology for stealing from me, i am also blocking them and having my bank to put a fraud alert against them and close my account....sad that mr.yaw and company find the it necessary to scam customers 😠 please beware and product works but take long long....no longer supported by me and my money

This company seems to be scamming many customers. I ordered products over 2 weeks ago and have constantly been emailing their customers services only to told the same thing...your products have been packaged and we will email you as soon as we have a tracking number. Also when you look them up on Companies house they seem to be in trouble with their accounts. Their customer service is dire, no one to speak to and instead they hide behind emails giving standard answers. Where the hell are my products that I have paid for? Next steps for me is to request a clawback via my card company as they are clearly taking money under false pretences and if I could give you 0 stars I would. I never fell for your monthly subscription charge scam either !!!

Gift cards are deceiving don’t buy them.
I bought a gift card to give it to a friend for her birthday but it turns out the gift cards are not gift cards but just store credit. When I realised that I asked for a refund as I had no use for additional
store credit. I contacted CS and asked for an explanation as I initially thought there was an error and I would still get my gift card code eventually. My question was simply ignored and the credit was added to my account. That experience really frustrated me I didn’t understand why they couldn’t just provide me with an explanation instead of making me send multiple emails and making me look like a Karen. Just call the gift cards store credit or make them real gift cards it’s that simple.
In regards to products, I have been using them for around a year and I tried out all products. The the body scrub is my
least favourite product it’s just too messy but I really like the summer body butter, the cleanser, the night cream and the face scrub. I have to admit the products haven’t really helped my hyperpigmentation though. I also wished there was a real day face moisturiser all the creams are to oily for the face.
My last criticism is consistency. I noticed especially with the body butter that the products often are not the same as the previous batch. Though faint they are sometimes differences in scent and colour of the cream. Same with the magic cream. Sometimes my face scrub arrives dry sometimes it’s a little bit more wet.
Try and see for yourself
I have no regrets spending my money to get these Ava estell products, since I started using these products, my face and body is like that of a baby honestly. I love using the body wash, and facial care, they really worth the price. Thank you Ava Estell.
